Shawn was terrific, came out very quickly and helped us figure out the source of a leak (we weren't sure if it was the water main or the separate irrigation system). He helped us learn a few things about the different water systems too! The dispatcher was also very helpful and made sure to get our emergency addressed promptly. These guys are real pros. We had been having drainage problems to the sewer. They unclogged the stoppage and ran their camera down the sewer lead, discovering that the bottom of the 50 year old cast iron pipe was completely eaten away. This meant that the lead from the house to the sewer required replacement. It's a big disruptive messy job. However, Dickie and his people move heaven and earth to minimize that disruption. They do clean, beautiful work and recommend the right solution for the long term. I highly recommend this outfit and its excellent work. read more

We had a disastrous experience with this company and I would recommend not to use their services. They were recommended to us by another local plumber for a situation that we had with two clogged toilets. First, when they arrived, they did not even come into the house to assess the situation. They immediately began to work on the Sewer-Clean-Out to the street. We asked if they needed to see the bathrooms and they said "no". We felt it was strange that they did not come into the house to inspect our toilets, when that was the issue we had called about. Second, when they started snaking the mainline to the street, sewage began backing up into our bathrooms. We immediately told the service technicians of this issue and asked them to stop and check out our bathrooms. The service technicians were very surprised by this result and did not understand why this had happened. Enough water came back up out of the toilet, bathtub and shower to cover both bathroom floors with several inches of water in the bathtub and shower. Drain Express (management) said this was a coincidence and has taken no responsibility for this. They did not call us back to apologize and did not help to clean up the mess. They did not refund our money or pay for the ensuing damage we had. In the interim, we had to hire an environmental remediation service to come to our house to 1) sterilize our bathrooms, 2) remove our tile and dry our floorboard and remove our toilets as they prepare to retile our floors. We have lost the use of our bathrooms for 3 months. Finally, Drain Express did not even bother to clean up the mess they left in our driveway from cleaning out the mainline pipe to the street. We have had to hire someone to clean up the mess and toilet tissue. For all the reasons above, plus their lack of remorse, carelessness and their overall sloppiness, I would avoid this company. read more

I never got a plumber out to the house, so I can't speak to their service. I called and spoke to three different dispatchers from 1pm to 5pm on a saturday, and each took down my info and said a technician would contact me, and that I was (I guess) in the queue of customers for the day. No tech ever called; maybe they were just too busy, but I would have appreciated being told that rather than strung along for a whole afternoon. read more

I called beginning at 9 PM for a clogged drain in my shower. Had to call 3 more times after no one came out. 4 hours later my downstairs is now flooded with raw sewage. I kept getting the after hours service and they sent messages, They said they flagged them as emergency requests. I'm not sure what it is but they can lose a lot of customers with this response. I do not recommend them. read more

I had a pretty severe leak in the pipes under my kitchen sink. The first two companies I called had appointments in two weeks. Drain Express had one that day. My husband is paralyzed and couldn't check the leak, my son left for college, and I was unable to tighten the pipes, or know how much to tighten them, or even know if that was the problem. Plus, the internet said that if you overtighten PVC pipes they will break. A plumber from Drain Express came out and diagnosed the problem--pipe not properly tightened. He checked the other pipes and another one was loose also. He properly tightened them and wrote a bill (what I expected to pay) and told me to call the company to pay by credit card. I did that. A few days later I got a letter in the mail saying they threw out my credit card information and decided not to charge me. I was more than amazed. This is just not what we expect from companies these days. This is a company with a heart. Drain Express was already recommended to me by a neighbor, so while my problem was not complicated this time, I will certainly use them again. They are honest, thorough, and customer service oriented. read more

tonight we had the most wonderful experience with the most polite and accommodating technician, Ken, for Drain Express - we had a major backup in our kitchen sink in the middle of cooking on a Sunday afternoon, I called Drain Express, he returned our call and said he was on a very difficult job but would get back to us.....indeed, he did at 6:00 on a Sunday night and came over and fixed our issue. It was so impressive and I soundly recommend if you have any problems with drains, etc. please call Drain Express. We were amazed and thrilled that Ken was so professional and cared enough to come on a Sunday evening when I am sure he would have rather gone home after his difficult afternoon on another job. This company stands by their work....which is SUCH a rarity these days! We had a bad clog in an upstairs toilet used by visiting guests at Thanksgiving 2015. Drain express came out, pulled the toilet and expressed the line to our satisfaction. Months later, when the bathroom was used again, we had leaking onto the downstairs closet ceiling which quickly developed a mold problem. A mold remediation company came out and gutted the closet ceiling and determined that the leaking was due to an improper seal used to reset the toilet by Drain Express. We worked with Dickey (the owner of Drain Express) who was extremely professional and courteous. After investigating the incident thoroughly, Dickey reimbursed us (through insurance) completely for the work done by the mold company to eradicate the problem and rebuild the closet. Dickey was responsive, respectful, and a great communicator.....we cannot say enough about the way this man conducts business and stands behind his work....exceptional! read more
