We called Piper out this week to get an estimate on some electrical work in our townhouse. They sent Art out to help us. He was friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. He gave us a number of options regarding the project and thoroughly explained each option. We really appreciated his expertise and the time he spent with us. He explained that I should try unplugging the stove at its main power source. I tried that and I had a quick and easy fix to my problem! He actually saved me the cost of a service charge! Had an issue with an outlet that needed addressing. Called Piper and they scheduled me for a few days out, but let me know that if any tech finished early they would call me to get it done sooner. Hear those things all the time, but they typically never follow through. Not with Piper though, I got a call an hour later that a tech was in my area and available to come by. Chris immediately identified the issue, explained what went wrong and what was needed to not only fix but prevent such issues from ever happening again. We worked with Jacob this morning to fix a loose wire in our outlet that had shorted. We had a hard time getting in contact with other electrical companies as it is a busy time of year. Someone from Piper responded immediately to my Yelp message, and got me an appointment the next day! That is unheard of by other companies. Jacob, the electrician who arrived, was great and even early to the appointment. To the Piper office manager or whoever responds to the Yelp messages, thank you for what you do! They installed a dedicated circuit for our large window A/C unit in our living room, and an exterior outlet on our detached garage, at less than half the cost of another, heavily-advertised company in the Denver Metro. During a spring snowstorm the neighbor's tree fell and pulled the powerline from our house. Excel did minimal work and therefore we had to call an electrician. We had a great experience with Piper Electric. We needed several electrical updates! We wanted to add outside plugs for the smoker and the camper and, in the process, we discovered that our electrical panel was not up to code. When we realized what a big job we had on hand, we reached out to Piper Electric. My husband builds superstructures and has worked with the company professionally in the past. He knew they did high-quality work at very fair prices. We weren't willing to have just anyone work on our electrical. We reached out for a bid and were fortunate to work with Werner Schlichter. Communication was always easy, timely, and thorough. He handled our last minute requests with ease and even saved us some money on the project by finding a less expensive generator panel. Everything was well organized and the entire project ran smoothly. To do the work, Piper electric sent us Matt Lace and Aaron. Matt was extremely professional and fun to work with. He is very knowledgeable, was able to answer all of our questions, and didn't cut any corners. We were very impressed with his skills and knowledge. Aaron was also incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and didn't complain a bit about having to crawl under the house. Matt and Aaron installed a new panel, lifted the power lines and set them above the roofline, fixed some old wiring in the house, and added the two outside outlets. We also had them install a generator panel connected to essential circuits in case we ever lose power. Both Matt and Aaron were very respectful of our home and even stopped to pet our dogs as they'd walk by them! This entire experience has been a pleasure. We feel much safer with all of our upgraded electrical, knowing that it was installed by true professionals who care about the work they do. We have a coffee machine plugged into an outlet that seems to keep tripping spontaneously. Thinking perhaps the outlet or breaker was bad, we called Piper to have them come check it out. Not only was the receptionist at Piper extremely friendly and personable, but she was able to get us on the schedule immediately, and have a tech to our house in 20 min! Upon arrival, the technician, Art was extremely professional and showed up with a protective mask, gloves and shoe coverings on. After assessing the issue, Art was able to recommend a few things we should try prior to having the outlet and or breaker replaced. Unlike many other service companies and techs that may perform work regardless of the actual issues at hand, I was very impressed that Art was hoping to save us some money by trying a few things on our own! If our attempts to mitigate the issue fails, and we do need to follow through with the service, we will definitely be calling Piper Electric and requesting that Art do the work for us! I offered to pay the emergency rate and Laura went out of her way to get someone out the same day. Lines were on the ground and equipment was pulled off my neighbors house because of tree trimming on my property and I wanted to make sure my neighbor was taken care. So why only 4 stars? Art Garcia was awesome to work with, he knew exactly what I was looking to do and how I wanted it to be done. He installed a low voltage transformer for a hard-wired smart doorbell. The finished installation is clean and well done. Art was on time, on his way over he even picked up an access panel that I had trouble locating myself. Art was very friendly, he worked efficiently, and the overall cost of the project was less than what I was expecting. He also explained what he was doing and how I could wire in the doorbell myself when it arrived. He was also wearing his mask the whole time and was very respectful of social distancing and COVID precautions. Great experience working with Piper Electric. I'd scheduled an appointment to have them come & check out our electrical panel as we were sporadically losing power. A couple of days later they called to say they have a tech available so could come out sooner, which was great! Eugene came out and was knowledgeable & so pleasant to deal with. He checked out the panel & found the connections were loose, so tightened everything up & was also able to take a look at our evap cooler as the motor wasn't working. Within an hour he'd finished with the panel & had got the motor going in the cooler as well! Overall great service & reasonably priced too, definitely recommend! read more

I can't say enough about how much I appreciate Piper Electric and especially Art - their residential service repairman. On his drive over to my house to figure out why my oven was not getting any power he suggested that I switch the breaker off and on forcefully and repeatedly, even though I had already flipped it back and forth already with no success. I followed his instruction, and miraculously the oven turned on. Apparently you need to really horse on those breakers to get them to reset. In any case, Art got my oven working, through his expert guidance over the phone, saved himself a trip, and saved me a service charge.
