I have used Piper Electric a number of times. Once while working in west Africa I needed to add ceiling lights in a rental property in Denver. Piper Electric did the job perfectly and to our satisfaction even though we were 6,000 miles away. Most recently, I needed to upgrade the electrical panel for our house. I called Piper as is my habit and got a quote below my estimate (I have worked more than 40 years in property and facilities management). The work was completed in less than a day. The breaker panel wiring was so neat and organized I would have liked a Plexiglas cover to keep the wiring visible. The electricians--Art and Anthony worked quickly and efficiently. They were professional and wore masks and gloves the entire time. When needing to make dust, they spread painter's plastic in the entire area and vacuumed everything. The folks in the office are polite and friendly. Their service is quick. If I said much more, someone may suspect I married into the family. I recently had Piper Electric come out to install a NEMA 14-50 outlet in my garage for EV charging. First off, talking on the phone with them was much more fruitful than with any of the other companies I requested estimations from. They seemed to actually know what they're talking about and be interested in the finer details of the job. They even provided a best-case to worst-case estimate over the phone (but, obviously, the only estimate that actually matters is the one when they've seen everything in person). Next, the electrician who came out not only did a fantastic job, but was quick and very courteous. The final price ended up undercutting every other estimate I received by at least 50%. Some companies seem to do tiered pricing and I hated it, it always felt like they were overcharging. Piper actually provided an estimate based on parts and labor, making it much easier to judge the value of the proposed work. I don't do this very often but I just wanted to let you know what a great job Art Garcia and Piper Electric did when they came out to do repairs and add a new generator switch to our home. He was not only professional and knowledgeable but also was friendly and respectful through the whole process. He worked quickly but we ended up having a problem with Xcel as they missed our shutoff that was scheduled for 11:00 am. Art handled the situation very professionally and didn't give up. When he was finally was able to contact them, he was able to get someone from Xcel to shut off the service so he could complete the repairs and install. Art did great work and answered all my questions while he was working. Piper Electric were honest, responsive and always on time. These days it's not to often that we get such great service. Phil was the afterhours emergency duty electrician that responded to our 6pm must address power issue. He was extremely polite, asked very good questions to troubleshoot the problem and then explained the afterhours rates. Portal to portal to and from afterhours rate is $200 and then onsite rate is also $200/hr. Once he arrived he quickly reconfirmed his initial analysis and got right to work. What I originally thought was going to be a two hour job, he completed in 55 minutes. Phil gets my thanks for doing such a great job while returning our power problem into a win. We initially hired Piper to repair an aging outlet, which led to us asking Matt (and his team) back to our house to install new lighting throughout our whole home. They did a stellar job installing the new lighting, taking great care during the process from placement to cleanup. I was on day 3 of no furnace after it shut down and would not restart. First I called a big company I hear advertised on the radio who sent someone to tell me my furnace was damaged. I had my panel replaced in my condo in Georgetown Colorado. Austin was the project manager that handled the job. Professional, on-time, good quality craftmanship. Clean wiring job. The price was fair and no extra fees were added. There was some cutting of the drywall to fit the new box and they even did a great job replacing the drywall which made it easy for me to mud paint and finish. They also added in 4 GFI replacements with the over-all cost after the quote for the panel replacement! Highly recommend using them based on my experience with them. read more
