Our home is a relatively new build (2-years old) and we had an outdoor outlet go bad that powered an outdoor water feature. We tried to get the company who did the install (Ward Electric) to come take a look. I had a breaker, which was powering 5 Ring cameras, that started tripping. Piper was first to take the call. All said and done, I was charged for a trip and a faulty part from Home Depot. The electrician didn't have the arc fault breaker on hand, so he went to Home Depot. He plugged in the breaker he just purchased, and it wasn't working at all, he said it was defective. He said he could go back to Home Depot to exchange it, but it would be chargeable time. Okay... He inspected the Ring cameras, found that they weren't mounted in proper boxes. Quoted me $1400 for 8 hrs to install the junction boxes. He left, and I was out $280 and nothing to show for it, only a quote for more work and my original breaker. As it turns out, it wasn't the Ring cameras at all... I had another company come out with a new breaker to test. It was a prewire issue in our pergola that was wired to a fan box. Apparently some of the wire insulation had been stripped off when pulled through the pergola channel, and it was causing the short. So now I'm back online with the cameras, and I am up $1000. I believe Piper meant well, but in my situation, I wasn't happy with their solution to my problem. It was kind of an expensive rabbit hole. read more

I called their 24/7 (ha) emergency line. Was told someone would be contacting me soon. The initial call was made around 5pm. By 10:30 pm, I called back to get a status update. The operator said she could actually connect me with the tech. The tech sounded like I had just woken him up. He asked that I explain my electrical emergency... good to know that someone who has limited electrical experience and feels it's an emergency needs to only explain the issue. Any-who, I explain my main breaker keeps tripping and is hot to the touch. Tech explains that he wouldn't be able to do anything at this time of night and suggests it's probably an issue with Xcel Energy sending "too much power" to my home. I'm not going to further talk with this idiot, so I call Xcel. They send someone out and explain that whoever suggested this is a complete moron. I agree. I find a more reliable electrician who comes out and finds the main breaker on its last leg and burnt to a crisp. Very lucky out house didn't burn down. Would I recommend this company? Nope. Would I suggest you use this company to be trusted with anything as dangerous as electricity for your job? HELL No. read more

We are new to our Westminster home and Piper Electric was recommended by our neighbor. The receptionist was friendly and scheduled us in a timely fashion and they call and often offer to come earlier if they can, which worked out nicely for us. They call when they are on their way and have always been on time. Technicians have come out 4 times now for different issues and deal with whatever it may be- electrical issues, fixtures mounted, dimmer switches checked and pretty much changing the wiring to accommodate what we wanted and needed. There was no "we have to come back later", they just did it. Even if they had, I would have them come back. Art Garcia was the electrician that performed the work on my dining room fixtures. Though the wiring was straightforward accomplishing the task was a challenge. It was a challenge because the fixture was an array of three fixtures that had five glass globes. The biggest challenge was hanging the one that had three globes attached to one fixture. Another challenge was the vaulted ceiling. Art was more than up to the challenge. He insured the globes were wrapped in bubble wrap. He tapped his ingenuity and insured the globes were safe until he completed the box wiring. All of this was done at a fair price. Nice job Art. Thanks for a job well done.
