You know, I've been eating at Pinocchio's for a minute! We had my dad's memorable celebration here in 2016. The servers and food have always been good. Today? It was nasty and the servers had the most unfriendly, attitudinal demeanor... I started to pull owner Armen , over to ask him what the hell is with your staff? yet opted to go to yelp. When I walked in, I sat at bar as I was ordering a small pizza to go. Mind you the place was pretty empty. I sit at bar, 2 servers at the bar, never acknowledged me, never looked up looked right through me... I waited yet got nothing- so I finally lean over and tell one of em " when you decide to look up I need to place a to go order". Fast fwd- I ordered a pizza. It took way too long for the place to be empty . Maybe many to go orders? It didn't make sense..., had to ask was I forgotten? When pizza came, I get home ( which is 6 min) it was cold and crunchy- over cooked . A frozen pizza from the store would taste better. The server added to my annoyance by her unfriendly demeanor- didn't catch her name as again/ initially I was never acknowledge. That was like pulling teeth. Armen needs to groom and school his servers better- they're all young and lack inter personal skills... guess it's time I start eating pizza elsewhere! read more

Tried Pinocchio's Pizza for the first time and it was delicious! There's a small parking lot to the side of it and some street parking right in front of us the business. They have a decent amount of seating and some bar seating where they offer happy hour specials, but only for bar seating. Service was great, unfortunately I didn't catch our waitress's name. Got to try the: Pinocchio Special Pizza Margherita Pizza Chicken Pesto Pizza Garden Salad Bruschetta Calamari Everything was so good, I'd recommend each of the items I tried to anyone who's unsure of what to get and would order them again and try other items as well. read more

What a great find this place was!!! This was such a yummy lunch with family. Service was warm and welcoming as well. Catfish. We got catfished on social media. Nothing like described. Best for age 60-90. It's giving senior center.

Great place for a lunch special. Looks like a high end restaurant, beautiful light fixtures but very reasonable prices. The soup and salad was $8.99 and loaded with chunks of hearty vegetables like zucchini. Love it! Food was good, service was great and the ambience was very nice. Will be back. They do parties and have a vintage room that has a great vibe and privacy. Looking to host my meet and greet. read more

Food is good here but the customer service is terrible. Wish I could give negative stars as the manager is awful. Placed an order for pick up and opened the pizza box to find the wrong one. Called the restaurant to let them know but the staff immediately just said there was nothing they could do and had to have a manager call me in the morning. Never received a call so went in to the restaurant and he was not there. Called again later and finally got a hold of the manager but his immediate response was, "we're busy. What do you want?" Explained what happened and he responded with, "what do you want me to do about it?". Very rude and dismissive. read more

We enjoyed some Happy Hour selections, offered daily in their bar from 3pm-close. Hubs enjoyed his pizza 10" cheese for $8 with additional toppings $1ea. He was full and satisfied. Looked yum! I wanted to peck, so ordered what I thought would be "lite": Brussel sprouts ($7) and calamari ($10). The brussel sprouts were the size of a family side! lol Delicious, perfectly charred with olive oil, chopped garlic, a pinch of salt and a toss of balsamic. The calamari also was sized to share, but I managed to finish it, thank you for your concern. It came with a side of marinara sauce that was REALLY good! Just a tad bit of kick, and full flavor. Served warm, which seems like a weird thing to appreciate, but when you've been served cold marinara with a warm dish, it stands out and turns off. So, thanks for serving your delish marinara warm and yummy! Cute interior with Italian beverage posters, warm lighting and comfortable seating. Service was friendly and welcoming. We'd definitely stop in again when visiting the area. The pasta dishes we spotted on other tables looked worthy of their own visit. Cheers! "CC" read more

3/29/25 Shout out to the event planner, florist & the staff who cooked the food at Pinocchio's Pizza! This baby shower was absolutely spectacular!! Flowers courtesy of the mom-to-be's friend, Erica Peña.... Gorgeous fresh floral arrangements!!! There was so much great tasting food: salads, pastas, etc. The event space is perfectly ideal for parties like ; birthdays, anniversaries, bridal/bachelorette parties, retirement & of course baby showers. There were easily 200 people in this room. The restrooms were clean & well maintained. The staff were efficient & helpful. It was such a lovely reception & what a feast for the eyes!! Of course, it all depends on the imaginations & creativity of the people who are decorating the place. Parking is across the street from the event place. Highly recommend this for all your celebrations that will forever be memorable. read more

Cozy atmosphere. Pizza was great. (Hot honey, vodka sauce, pepperoni cups, ricotta cheese) The pasta itself was fresh and chewy, but the sauce was pretty bland (carbonara). Service was OK. I ordered an additional topping for my pizza and server didn't tell me until she brought out the pizza when it was done. (probably should've told me before the pizza went in so I could've gotten a different topping.) Parking appears to be street parking only, but I didn't have an issue finding any. read more

I tried the restaurant for the first time just recently. I had this seafood Alfredo with a salad and garlic bread. Their house salad wasgood, the seafood Alfredo was so so. There was not much seafood in there at all. The sauce under was decent. The garlic bread was cold when I got it. That's not good. Even though I told the waitress it was my first time there seen them once checked on me to see if everything was OK until it was time to pay the bill, which of course is too late if it was any issues with the food. The waitress was apologetic at the end and took 15% off the final bill she tried to make up for lack of service. Best part about being in a restaurant was that I got to watch part of the dodger game on the large screen television. I may give them one more chance and come back to try some different dishes, if I go back, I'll talk to update my review read more

This is hands down the BEST restaurant I've ever been to. Everything was just PERFECT. I came here yesterday during lunch for my birthday, with my boyfriend, and it wasn't busy at all, there was only one other table besides us. The inside of the restaurant is big and very spacious, many tables! The server was so kind and was very welcoming. I ordered a chicken fettuccine Alfredo pasta (lunch portion) and it came with a soup and garlic bread. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. It's the best pasta I've ever had. My boyfriend isn't a fan of italian food but I really wanted to try this place so he came with me. He ordered the sausage penne and he said this place changed his mind about pasta. He LOVED his food just as much as I did. This is hands down the best food I've had in a while, it's a must try! read more

I hosted my daughter's 21st birthday celebration at Pinocchio Pizza this past Saturday and had an excellent experience. Armen made the booking process fast and easy--he was very responsive to emails and made everything stress-free. Our server, Jenifer, was amazing--attentive, friendly, and on top of everything for our semi-private party. The food was delicious, especially the ravioli and chicken fettuccine Alfredo, which were a hit with our guests. Great service, great food, and a perfect spot for a special celebration. Highly recommend Pinocchio Pizza for parties and events! 10 stars!! We will be coming back for family dinner night and I will be hosting more parties here personal and work related events. Pinocchio's Pizza - They allow you to bring your own decorations! Great place to host an event. - Pizza Near Me - Pasadena, California

the tasty haul: pinocchio's special pizza - classic combo of pepperoni, mushrooms, peppers & onions on chewy, house-made dough. seafood alfredo - creamy, rich & surprisingly loaded with shrimp, scallops & calamari. beef lasagna - hit all the cozy, saucy, cheesy notes. calamari - golden, crispy & tender inside. could use just a pinch more salt, but still a solid starter! tiramisu - light, espresso-y perfection. honestly, I'd come back just for this dessert. Pinocchio's Pizza has that old-school Pasadena charm - part Italian family restaurant, part banquet hall. can't believe they've been running for over 25 yrs now, but it's my first time trying them. Pinocchio's isn't trying to be a trendy Italian spot & that's exactly its charm. if you're in Pasadena craving a mix of pizza, pasta& a casual family-style dinner, this is a solid pick! read more

I love Pinocchio's! Every time we visit our family in Glendale, we make a point to eat here. The Caesar salad is seriously to die for, and we've always had a pleasant experience in the past. Unfortunately, our most recent visit was completely different, and I left genuinely upset. What made this experience especially confusing was that our first interaction was actually lovely. When I first approached the counter, I greeted the woman working at the ice cream station and asked how she was doing. She thanked me for being kind to her and told me how much she appreciated the way I had greeted her. I told her that I believe we should always lead with love and kindness, and she agreed. That is why the interaction that followed was so incredibly off-putting. I was ordering cookies for my grandma's funeral get-together, and there was a miscommunication about the quantity of cookies I had ordered. When I explained the situation, her demeanor completely changed. She became extremely rude and disrespectful toward me. I apologized several times because I certainly wasn't trying to make her job more difficult, and I was still planning to leave a decent tip because I understand that mistakes and busy shifts happen. Instead, she told me that she "wished for better communication" while tossing the cookies I hadn't ordered back into the case. She then handed me a box containing more cookies than I had actually ordered and said, "This is the best I could do. I can't take any more out." I paid for them and left. The entire interaction completely changed my mood. I lost my appetite and honestly didn't even want to be there anymore. That has **never happened to me at Pinocchio's before.** I had been traveling all day, and I understand that she was probably stressed and that it was a very busy dinner rush. But taking that stress out on a paying customer over a simple misunderstanding was really upsetting. What made it even more uncomfortable was that earlier, she had been talking to me about the customers ahead of me and explaining that she had been rude to them because they hadn't greeted her kindly. One of those customers was a woman with two young grandchildren, and English did not appear to be her first language. She seemed to be trying to order quickly and efficiently, yet the employee seemed to interpret her behavior negatively. I kept thinking about our initial conversation. We had literally just talked about kindness and how important it is to lead with love. Then, within the same interaction, I experienced such a dramatic change in her attitude toward me over a misunderstanding that I honestly didn't know what had happened. I don't expect employees to be perfect, and I understand that people have difficult days. I also have a lot of empathy for how stressful customer service can be. But customers shouldn't have to absorb that stress, especially when they are being polite, apologizing, and trying to resolve a simple misunderstanding. I genuinely loved coming to Pinocchio's and had always had wonderful experiences here. That's what makes this so disappointing. I hope this was an isolated incident, because I would hate for another customer to leave feeling the way I did. read more

The greeting from the receptionist, Sophia, was unfortunately pedantic and felt a bit impolite, and I noticed other customers with reservations were treated with the same cold attitude. It definitely made me question the owner's approach to hospitality. However, the experience completely turned around once I was served by Jennifer. In the middle of a hot day, being served a cold drink with ice was incredibly refreshing. She was sympathetic, conversational, and welcoming, which speaks volumes. Jennifer's food recommendation was spot on--the sweet and spicy pizza was of good quality and a great crust. I really enjoyed the rest of my experience thanks to the great tableside service. read more

Generous portions and delicious food. We went early on our way home from Descanso Gardens so they were not real busy when we arrived. They were setting up for what looked like a wedding party in their banquet area...Our server was very attentive and even noticed they had put mushrooms on my pasta when I had asked for my dish without them. I had the penne with sausage and peppers. My husband had the chicken parmigiana.. both were yummy. The sauce was a little on the sweeter side if you like it that way. The dinner comes with soup or salad and garlic bread.. prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get. read more

Visited on 9/7/25. Quaint restaurant which also has two attached banquet rooms. Parking is a bit of a challenge with a small adjacent parking lot which backs to a residence. Additional parking available and a lot across the street I believe. Now let's talk about the food. We ordered mozzarella sticks to start and calamari. Mozzarella sticks arrived with balsamic vinegar and were delish!! I don't think I'll ever want to eat them any other way going forward. Both were great. The garlic bread was tasty as well. One order had cheese and the other plain. For the main dishes, we ordered a spinach ravioli, lasagna, chicken parmigiana, chicken Alfredo and Cesar salads. Everything was delicious and savory. The salad had a little bit more dressing than we cared for, but overall was good. The kids spaghetti was good according to my grandson. Nice portion sizes. If I had to rank the food from one to four being the best, I would say the spinach, ravioli, lasagna, chicken Parmigiana and then the Alfredo. Overall service was great. They also had a bar which looked to be full of a variety of spirits. Overall, we will be back forever in Pasadena again. read more

This review was for service and food on 4/3/26. We had shrimp Alfredo and carbonara. I'm not sure why but the carbonara tasted like freezer burn it was awful. When we finished our appetizer they accidentally took our fork. We waited 10 minutes for someone to come check on us and when we asked for a form, the waitress asked "what?!" And my boyfriend repeated "a fork" it was pretty awkward all around waitress could have said something more polite such as "excuse me" or "I'm sorry could you repeat yourself?" Ambiance was fine but the lamps overhead our table were so dusty it was flying into our faces before we got our not so good food. Not coming back unfortunately. The chicken Marsala was so delicious and the minestrone soup was excellent taste I was so happy with the service too thank you

Such a nice and cozy family-style place! We really enjoyed everything we ordered. The tomato bruschetta was fresh and delicious, and the fried calamari was amazing -- soft, tender, not overcooked at all, with a perfectly crispy coating. We also really loved the chicken pesto pizza. It was big, delicious, and such a great price. We even took some home and enjoyed it for dinner later The prices were a very pleasant surprise -- the portions are generous and everything is really affordable. I had high hopes for this place after seeing the ratings, but I found the food to be pretty disappointing. We got the bruschetta, margherita pizza, pizza bianca and shrimp and mushroom linguini pasta, and overall the ingredients were not good quality. The tomatoes in the bruschetta and margarita pizza had no flavor. The bruschetta was overwhelmingly sour from the vinegar that it was hard to detect any other flavor from the other ingredients, and the toasted bread wasn't crunchy. The mushrooms in the pizza bianca and the pasta had no flavor, but the sun dried tomatoes in the pasta had a good amount. I think that was the best tasting part of the dish. The pasta came with salad and garlic bread. The salad was probably the best tasting dish of the night, mainly because of the vinaigrette sauce, which is kind of odd because this is supposed to be a side dish. The garlic bread wasn't crunchy and taste wise, the frozen one from Costco is better. The pizzas were all very bland across the tomatoes, mushrooms, basil and cheese. Crust is not crunchy at all, and the pizza bianca felt overwhelmingly greasy. Because it was thin slice, the amount of grease made the slices so soggy. Despite not being a fan of the flavors, the portions are pretty good for the price, especially the pasta which had a good amount of shrimp. However, we came on a Friday night and about 3 of their beer on taps were out, and their beer selection isn't very large to begin with. read more

2nd time coming here and idk what changed, maybe how busy it was because my 1st experience wasn't bad but the again, I've been to way busier restaurants with more demanding customers than this and received better service and food. We honestly felt rushed. One thing I don't like is when servers do not follow up on their customers if refills are needed. Every time I tried to get a server's attention, they walk past me so we ended up having to borrow each other's napkins cause we there was no extras. The vibe was just off and the pizza took long enough and when it came out the crust was too burnt we didn't finish it. Safe to say won't be there for the 3rd time. 2 stars as opposed to 1 because I find the prices decent compared to others. read more

Calamari - very good Margarita Pizza - okay Seafood Alfredo - okay Shrimp Mushroom Linguini - disappointing Service was really slow and the servers seemed annoyed or overwhelmed.
