Well I've been here 3 times. I usually get a pedicure and have a great experience for the most part. But this place seems hit or miss as far as service goes. The first time was awesome. I got wine, I got a pedi, massage, scrub etc .Left happy& felt pampered. The second time I got a pedicure and wasn't offered a drink, that time was okay as well and the male was the one who did my pedicure. Today I got a gel manicure . I walked in with a $10 off coupon, but was shown in tiny lettering that it was for a pedicure ... Monday- Wednesday..I felt rushed and there was no description anywhere or what a gel mani included. I definitely wanted to relax. But they pulled me in quickly and got me seated and just started. She started getting my nails cleaned up, I noticed there was zero pampering of what I think of when I think mani. Other places I've gone offer an arm scrub, massage of hands with lotion, hot towel treatment, drinks etc. While my nails look great I was SO disappointed at the lack of pampering . I kept waiting for something to get better or to feel like I was at a spa. Nope. At the end she gave me a quick lack luster "massage" with lotion on my arms with her glove still on, which lasted less then one minute. And she had a hot towel thrown on for 30 seconds, not even covering my entire arm. I wanted to cry. I went to get pampered. I work hard and on a rare occasion want to treat myself, and spending $40 to get my nails trimmed and painted wasn't worth it. I just suggest they become more present. They could show their guest a menu, they could offer a drink. It's like they want to do the bare minimum and get you out of there and btw there was only one other person there. For a gel mani why was their not an arm scrub, arm massage and lotion??? Ugh. Next time I will try a new place which is disappointing because I thought I found my place. Oh well .. My nails look good, although she left one nail crooked. But I didn't leave with that relaxed feeling. :( and I felt very disappointed in the service. read more

Do not get waxed here! I had to show up two days in a row to get my wax which never got done. When I had a schedule leg and bikini wax two days in a row, the lady was 15 minutes late which is fine but then she was so rude. Then two ladies entered the room and wanted me to take my clothes off in front of them, they would not leave so that I could take my clothes off. Very bizarre. Please don't waste your money or Groupon, on this place! What a disappointment. I called to get an appointment and they wanted me to wait an hour before coming in, but I arrived early only to find all the employees in the front window socializing, and not wearing masks; the place was empty. Only one person came in while I was there. Not all the employees wore a mask while I was in there, which I found uncomfortable. I didn't get a French manicure, because they said my toe nails where not long enough, she didn't buff out the scraps across my nail until I pointed it out, and almost forgot the top coat on my toes, but when I moved over to the manicure table she awkwardly got under the table to finish the top coat. My manicure was terrible. The cuticles were not cut or pushed back and I had a few hangnails, that I had to take care of at home. The gel polish manicure, didn't last a week, and looked terrible for my trip. I went to another salon to see if they could do a French pedicure, because my nails were at there shortest, and it turned out beautiful. I have such long nail beds, that I don't need to grow them out. After reading this, I'm sure the owners will understand why their business is failing. I called and made an appointment for two pedicures. My appointment was for 5:30, but I called at 4:45 and said we would be about 20 minutes late. Now, I did not realize that the salon closes at 6 pm on Saturday, it's usually open until 7, had I known I probably wouldn't have made an appointment for that late or even tried to come later when I knew we'd be late but they assured me over the phone it was completely fine so I thought nothing of it. When we got there they didn't even give us an option for which pedicure we'd like and we got literally a 15 minute pedicure, no foot massage or anything with it for $36 dollars plus tip. They painted our toes and put the cheap sandals on us and then grabbed their stuff and started leaving for the night. My toes weren't even a little bit dry but they ushered us out so fast. I guess they were in a hurry to get home. We weren't even there for 20 minutes. If they didn't have enough time to take care of us they should have been upfront about the fact that I wouldn't have an option for the type of pedicure I wanted and that it would be rushed because they close at 6 pm, which I was unaware of. Not even 24 hours later and the polish on my toes is chipped. So disappointing. read more

I hate to leave a negative review since the Ballard Pink Polish was so great, but I was pretty disappointed with the Tacoma location. I went here with a family member -- we had Groupons for SNS manicures. Immediately we were told it'd be an extra $10, as the Groupon was only for the dipping powder and not for the actual manicure. I think that should be stated on the Groupon as that's not clear at all. I wanted white nails and picked out color 115 which appeared white based on the samples they provided. The technician who applied my color did a very nice job and I really appreciated his thorough work. But the color was actually a very light nude/pink. I contacted this business on Facebook and by phone the next day to hopefully get it changed and never got a response. To make matters worse, the color started cracking after about 1.5 weeks. SNS manicures are supposed to last at least a few weeks. I may as well have gotten a regular manicure. Other little things -- the lady who checked us in was quite rude. I don't know if that's because we had Groupons but she was snippy and we didn't feel very welcome. Also, they did not provide us the color options prior to the manicures, so we had to flip through the colors awkwardly while our hands were sitting in the hot water. It was the opposite experience I had at the Pink Polish in Ballard where I got a gel manicure and the technician was awesome and it lasted 4+ weeks. I won't be back to the Tacoma location but the Ballard is awesome! read more

The salon has a very soothing ambiance and the staff is very professional and polite. I got a full set of acrylics which came out to about $50 which was a little pricy but I knew I was also paying for it's killer location at Point Ruston. Overall I thought they did a nice job but upon closed inspection I noticed some flecks of dust that got trapped in the polish which was a little disappointing. I'm glad I came here once to spoil myself but I don't know if I'd make it my normal salon due to the prices, but it was a nice treat. read more

After having the callus removal (included in my pedicure) the 1st time I was so impressed with how soft my feet were.... I went back for just the callus removal service. However, 2nd time around I was not so impressed after. Perhaps she overdid it on the callus removal gel? For almost 2 weeks after my feet were UNCONTROLLABLY peeling. It was gross. Like sheets and sheets of skin sloughing off the bottom of my feet. Thank god it wasn't sandal weather yet... I would have been really embarrassed. When i would try and peel some of the skin that was starting to come off... it would just rip far and deep... just a bad situation all around. It reminded me of what happened when I tried that BabyFeet product but much worse :( read more

I highly recommend Pink Polish Spa. Their salon is beautiful, peaceful, and clean. After my salon in Browns Point closed I was looking for a replacement. Much to my delight, I found the perfect salon worth the drive from Browns Pt. Everyone is very friendly, helpful, and professional. Clean as a whistle too. I was so excited to see Annie, (who I last saw about 15 years ago at another salon). She is an expert and nearly 3 weeks later, my nails look great. I don't remember the name of the gentleman who gave me my pedicure but he was wonderful too. Pamper yourself here, you are worth it! read more

Went into pink polish, very nice interior and customer service however, the quality of the nails do not match. I asked for a powder dip manicure and got no manicure at all and by the time the dip was done it was coming off of my nail and not even done correctly. My expectations were much higher. Hopefully this place will put some more training into there employees so they can stick around. Overall horrible experience read more

This post Monday and friend and I decided that we would make a trip over to Ruston Way after I called Pink Polish inquiring about their Monday specials. I called at 4:07pm and was advised that pedicure was $25 or 20% off of other service. I advised I was an hour or so out and was instructed that was OK as they close at 7. Based on this information we drove over. We arrived at Pink Polish shortly after 6 only to be instructed that the special ends at 3pm. I was suprised as my phone call was not until 4. They took no accountability or responsibility and just pointed towards the sign out front. Since we went all that way we decided to stay. Pedicure was fair but extremely overpriced. We will stay close to home where we can pay a lot less and get a far superior pedicure. Will never waste my money here again. read more

My daughter, sister, and I came here for classic manicures and SNS dipping for my sister. Inside of the spa is beautiful and the set-up is great as we were all able to sit right next to each other while my 6 y/o got her nails done for the first time. I gave 2 stars because the customer service I received was odd, if not offending. I don't get my nails done often in a salon and prefer to save money. At one point during my manicure, the technician asked me which tool she should use to even out my nails. She then asked me if my nails were even and said she wouldn't change it if I later thought it was uneven. If felt very condescending the way she asked me and my sister took noticed too. Later on she asked me about my preferences in lighting and went to say that some people prefer white lighting versus yellow lighting and felt like there was more to her question but I chose to keep my answer simple. She then went on to tell me that she sometimes falls asleep in the spa but not today. I tried to make cordial conversation being the social worker that I am and also attempted redirecting but it was an odd experience. My daughter's manicure was quick and my sister said her nails turned out fine. Two days later and the paint on my nails have chipped away. read more

I came in today to redeem a pedicure gift certificate and possibly get a manicure as well if the schedule permitted as I was a walk in client. I presented my gift certificate at the beginning of my pedicure and was told to hang onto it. About halfway through Julie asked for my gift certificate and gave it to Jasmine. Jasmine then came and told me they would not honor the gift certificate because it was 30 days only expiration. I pointed out that the gift certificate doesn't specify an expiration. She told me that was not their problem and she'd do me a favor and only charge me 50%. I am very disappointed by this situation. I came in to relax and was being given great service by Julie, but it is really ridiculous that they didn't honor their own gift certificate. I took pictures of the gift certificate front and back to post but I don't seem to be able to... wish I could. This is my favorite place to go for eyelash extensions, manicures and pedicures. They're in a perfect location. The staff is awesome. Their rates are great! The salon is clean and open and airy. I was so excited to have such a beautiful salon within walking distance of my home. I went twice. The first time, my fill was great but the pedicure technician was really rough. The second time, I made an appointment with the same woman who had done my nails the first time. I waited 25 minutes past my appointment time and then they gave me a different technician than who I had made my appointment with. The place is beautiful but the service is sorely lacking. read more

I came in asking for a pedicure and the woman doing my nails did not do a good job. I picked a dark red color and after two coats you can still see my nail through the color which shows how thin the layers were that she applied. On top of that she did not go to the edges of my nails so I can still see parts of my nails on each toe! The biggest thing that made me upset was the price. I was shocked when they told me it was 50! I've never paid that much for a pedi but I thought maybe they are just more expensive since it's Ruston but then I googled them and their menu shows the cheapest pedi is 35 dollars! So they pretty much just took advantage of the fact that I said "can I get a pedi" and decided it would be appropriate to charge me more since I never specified which one. In my experience with other salons, they ask you what pedi you want by showing you the options and prices. Since this salon didn't do that I assumed the default would be the most basic pedi. I definitely think they did it on purpose and will not come back! read more
