Rude staff and poor service. Gel polish never lasted. I really wanted to support a local business, but after my experience here, I just can't recommend this nail salon. The customer service was shockingly poor, and I left feeling completely unvalued as a customer. The biggest issue was the owner, who was not only unhelpful but outright rude. I couldn't believe the dismissive attitude and lack of professionalism--it's hard to understand how a business can run this way and expect customers to return. Bad experience; I won't be back!! Thought I'd try them out and, read that it's new management. Andy was the guy who worked on my nails and, quite honestly, he was rude, unprofessional and impatient! Also, there seems to be a major language barrier with him. I had to keep repeating my sentences over more than once on several occasions bcz he just didn't understand. It's not a warm, welcoming place, imo. There are several men that work there as nail techs, plus the manager, and, the vibe I got from them is enough to make me never come back! They have A LOT to learn when it comes to running a successful nail salon and draw in more customers than they do. Constantly talking and even shouting loudly (in Vietnamese) at their coworkers while doing my nails. He nearly cut my finger with the nail clippers as he kept looking around as he was supposed to be doing my nails and had the clippers and, went to cut my old nails down and, wasn't focusing where he should be! Just very very rude! What others have said about the manager who runs the place is also VERY true! He is RUDE!! He even tried to guilt trip me after the guy Andy finished doing my nails ..trying to make me feel bad that Andy "wasn't happy" after doing my nails! He went on and on and, I wasn't gonna fall for her guilt trip. Never had this kind of experience before like this in a nail salon ever and I've been getting my nails done for decades now! This is my second time here. The first time I walked out THRILLED. Today I went in for a fill and to have the nail I broke filled. I asked 3 times just for a dip powder fill only to be corrected all 3 times that "no, you want a gel fill" and does the one broken nail with pure acrylic. I definitely did not want acrylic or a regular fill. I corrected them AGAIN when they brought out the gel polish. I ended up just dealing with it thinking it'll basically look the same and it's not worth the fight. Mind you, at this point my fingers are BURNING from whatever chemical she used for the acrylic... The acrylic I didn't want for this reason. End of the day I was okay if they looked good. Then.... this... this is how they look and that's what she did to the nail she "fixed" We will never be back. read more

I appreciated the fact that I was able to be seen during the same day. Though, I felt that I didn't get the same treatment as the other customers that had the same service done as me. I don't want to say who had me as the purpose of this review is more so to give advice. But, I had a regular mani/pedi done and the person I had didn't give time for my polish to dry and placed the top coat basically seconds after placing the polish on both my mani and pedi. What bothered me even more was that a customer who had the same service was given a fan to allow her regular polish to dry prior to putting on the top coat. So word of advice, if you opt to do regular polish maybe ask for the fan prior to allowing them to put the top coat on. Maybe it was because I was a last minute walk in? So maybe make an appointment as well so you would avoid going through what I did. read more

While in the chair getting my pedi, relaxed with my eyes closed, I over heard one of the nail technicians say "no black me come in here". Terribly disappointing experience. Went to get a pedicure with my mother. My mother had a great experience (her tech was male, sorry I don't know any names). Mine on the other hand was horrible and rude. She rushed through the entire pedicure and was very rough. So rough I asked that she not pull on my nails when cutting them. She told me, I had an ingrown nail. I informed her, it was only cracked from stubbing my toe on a rock. Yet she didn't listen and continued by yanking the nail out!! Now I really do have a problem because it's red, swollen, and painful to touch. Besides causing actual harm, she also went so fast and rushed she finished my pedicure 15 minutes before my mother was done and we started at the same time! In the time it took for my mother to get a pedicure, the female tech I had finished mine and was almost finished with another customer next to me. Beautiful location and store. Pro's: location Cons: unsanitary, poor customer service, terrible value I've been here over 4-5 times and have not had a bad experience until recently. I had a terrible manicure - wrong color was chosen by accident by the nail tech, I did not receive a proper cleaning (under nails, cuticle, hand wash, or hand lotion), and it was unsanitary. By unsanitary, I mean: the nail tech was clipping my nails, then decided to clip her hang nail, used her finger to get the dirt out underneath the rest of her nails, then proceeded to clip my nails (without washing her hands or switching utensils). I emailed the establishment about my experience and how I was unhappy with my manicure. They denied seeing me in the salon that day and didn't remember anyone with my name (which is wild because I was the ONLY one in there!). They agreed to fix my nails upon return of my trip since I was leaving in 6 hours and didn't have time to fix them on the spot. I went back into the salon to get my manicure fixed, and they told me I had to pay another $50. Really?!! Terrible customer service & I can assure you I will not be back. It's a shame, too since I prefer to support small businesses when I can. Oh also... make note of what's NOT included in a dip manicure: nail cleaning, cuticle cleaning, hand wash/lotion. Hi recently had my nails done at pink polish. I it is in a beautiful location by the water in Tacoma. Unfortunately, they seem to have inexperienced help. I had an acrylic fill, which the Phil part turned out fine the nail shape was OK a little thick but OK. But when she applied my gel polish, she didn't give it time to cure under the light and I only noticed a small spot that day peeling on the side of one nail but by the next day half of the nails were peeling already for no reason other than that it was having a reaction from not being chemically cured properly. read more

Not sure how hygienic this place was. The nail file had obviously been used on other clients without a good cleaning and the nail clippers looked really dirty. I got a SNS dipping powder mani which the guy dunked my entire fingernail into the shared container for each nail versus pouring the powder directly on the nail as many other salons do for a more hygienic experience. He also tapped the extra powder right back into the communal jar. As much as I want to support the businesses in Point Ruston, I won't be coming back. read more

I've been here before and it wasn't so bad but TODAY it was terrible. I came in for a fill and to fix 1 broken pinky nail. My nails were very long, I asked her to trim them a little bit and to keep them coffin shaped . She trimmed them WAY too short and they are no longer coffin at all, more like rectangle and make my fingers look stubby. The pinky nail she did is SO messed up and looks nothing like my other nails at all (pic below). I told her to please make my nails straight (like they were) and not curved at all and she made each one more curved and I hate it. It costs $25 and I will not be coming here ever again which sucks because I actually liked my first visit with the owner. I will be going to a different nail salon tomorrow to have them give me a whole new set so really just wasted my money overall. read more
