They are not clean. I came in for a manicure. They had me sit at the station and began sanding my nails. They didn't have me soak them first, they never used alcohol to disinfect and they used cuticle clippers that were visibly dirty. Not once did they open anything new or sanitized. I kept waiting for the massage and lotion part of the manicure but nothing. I ended up overpaying for a gel manicure that consisted of gel and polish applied and that's it. To top it off there are ripples that can be seen in my gel. They were even arguing with the lady next to me when she expressed concern that the nails they did on her were bending and thin. The Service is poor and it is unsanitary. Keep driving, there are a 100 other nail salons on South Hill that are far better.
I went in to get a gel manicure for our daughter's wedding. They talked me into builder gel. My natural nail was a little beyond the end of my finger. I asked for square with a slight round shape. I pointed to the example they provided. The tech cut my nails down and each nail ended up being a different shape. The builder gel was uneven and looked like globs on gum. This experience made me sad, I cannot grow my nails out in two days. I am going to have to pay for them to be removed and hopefully someone else can make them look decent for the wedding. I paid the full price and just left because I didn't want to chance them messing them up even more. My pedicure was ok, but one toe nail was filed at an angle. When I mentioned it to the tech (different person than fingernails) she said it looked good from her angle. Even though you could see the difference with my feet side by side. The place was super dusty and dirty, my massage chair didn't work. Will not be going back. $115 down the drain. I hope they can take the opportunity to do some additional training for their staff.
Honestly so good! They took me as a walk in for a pedi even though it was close to closing time. Kelly took such good care of me regardless and I never felt she was in a rush to get through it or cut corners. To top it off, they even serve wine and cocktails while you get services! How can you really beat that? YOU CANT! I will be back and often!
Will not be coming here again. I will be frank... I actually do my own soak off, full cover nail tips and have all the equipment and polishes. But every now and then, I am just way too lazy and want someone else to do my nails once in a blue moon. My fiancé wanted to treat me to get my nails done so I said okay. My stepdaughter came because she also needed a fill anyhow.. we initially went to Pro Nails in Puyallup but they were completely booked and it was already 5pm (most nail shops close at 7pm), I googled and found this place has great reviews. When we got there, the place was really nice and inviting. We said we wanted 1 full set and 1 fill. We were seated, the guy who was gonna do my nails asked if I had a reference photo, I showed him what I wanted. He didn't ask what shape I want, or if I wanted long, short, medium. He also did not tell me how much it would all cost with the full set and design, so I assumed it's all good. Then the issues started! First, he was having such a hard time laying the acrylic (but he actually used a dip powder to lay on the nail tips, not the regular acrylic powder). And then the woman who was doing another customer's nails on the station next to us, decided to start involving herself in what my nail tech was doing. She walked off and came back holding a sticky note with a bunch of numbers. She said that they didn't have the size rhinestones that's on my reference picture, but they have a smaller one... with the full set, the designs "on all 5 fingers plus the rhinestones is $130", but if I don't put the rhinestones it's $120- mind you, the guy already laid the acrylic/dip powder on my right hand when the woman decided to talk price with me, so I couldn't even say nvm because I know they would most likely charge me $70 for the work already done AND to take it off! So I said just don't do the rhinestones, so it's $120... then she comes back again and says that she made a mistake and said for all 5 fingers design is $130, but if I just have 1 finger with a design it would be $90.. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! I got fed up and said just do a French tip with white gel polish... and it was $89!!!! Not to mention the guy was so rough with my hands and nails, he filed down the acrylic/dip by hand after he finished laying it on my nails and he was so heavy with it that he cut my cuticle!!! He also nearly nicked me when he was filing the sides of my nails, didn't clean up the underside of the nails and he damn near twisted my knuckles while filing! To top it off, the tips of my nails look like I got duck nails because he didn't file the tip at a level, instead he filed them towards him at an angle. I was LIVID!!! The fact that I coulda done the set I WANTED for FREE at home my damn self instead of having to pay for something so damn basic, AND the quality of the most basic FRENCH NAIL DESIGN being poor did not help either. My step daughter asked for a fill and change her polish to a pink cat eye polish, and THEY CHARGED HER $85!!! If I could review without giving any stars, I would... WE WILL NEVER BE BACK HERE AGAIN. I've learned a hard lesson of just fight the laziness and do my own nails instead, FOR FREE!
Literally had the best nail salon experience I've had in years! I've tried at least 3 other nail salons on Meridian, and D&D will definitely be the place I go from now on. Amy did an AMAZINGGG job on my nails, she was nice, patient, took her time, and went out of her way to get the look I wanted!! Thai did my pedicure, she was very sweet and made me feel totally relaxed the entire time! Thank you Amy & Thai

I did a trial of my wedding nails with a different tech over a month ago. I absolutely loved them and was so excited to go back for my wedding nails. However, when I went back for my wedding nails, the original tech was on vacation, so I had to go with another tech. I scheduled almost a week ahead. I showed them a picture of what I wanted--an ombré white nail, and they gave me a solid white nail. The nail tech was not as precise as the original nail tech. My nails were bumpy and different lengths. I wore gloves for some of my wedding pictures. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to change my nails before my wedding. I won't be back. Techs are not consistent, and she rushed. I tried to make light conversation with her, and she was not friendly. Responded only with "yeah" several times. When you go in to get your nails done for your wedding, you want to feel pretty and pampered. Sadly, this wasn't the case for me. read more

I went in right when they opened at 9:30 had a gel manicure done took 45 minutes the lady did a great job. It's been three weeks went in today for a gel manicure from same lady her name is tan she did a great job again. Extremely happy read more

I usually get my nails done by Kate, but today I got my nails done by Henry. What I love most other than good customer service is how particular they are when doing nails. It has to be done a certain way before the customer leaves. If it doesn't look perfect they redo it, reshape it until it's just right. Today they killed it AGAIN! I usually just want plain black or black & white nails. But because Valentine's Day is coming up I went for a very simple design & I like it! Yes it's still black, but a bit of love! read more

To be clear, I always take the path of least resistance and don't like causing ruckus. I came in for a manicure. The lady I got was not in a great mood, very obvious. She rushed everything and was very rough with me.... I have had a lot of bad paint jobs but this is the worst. I get we all have our bad days and all, but I am paying for the service. It does not make sense to have disgruntled employees giving service. This is a week out because I wanted to show what the lack of paint and top coat did. It was bad all the way through but should of lasted me another week. The only reason my middle finger on the right hand was decent was because I asked her to repaint it. Again we all have our bad days and salons get busy but it's not worth it to keep upset employees there to create this for a paying customer. read more

I have been in a few times and they've done a wonderful job at making sure I get what I come in for. The pedicures are thorough and the design skills are by far some of the best I've seen in our area. It's very hard to find salons that can replicate a picture you found on Pinterest but they're great! Also very welcoming and personable, which is nice. Really makes you feel like a valued customer! read more

D&D is the place to be! I have been going to this location for a few months now & they blow me away every time. They pay so much attention to detail & truly want to make sure that their customers are happy. Henry always does my nails & is always down for my latest design ideas! He kills my nails every time & I always leave very satisfied, he truly cares about his work. Kelly always does my pedicures & wow she does amazing work! Best massage & again true attention to detail. I started coming here a couple years ago because it was closest to home but now I live up north. I will forever go out of my way to come down here. The service and cleanliness is outstanding. I've never had better looking nails. I'm terrible about taking pictures every time but they do amazing designs! I highly recommend trying them out! read more

I wanted to get my nails done for a gift for myself and was insanely grateful that they could squeeze me in ASAP however when I arrived they started my nails and then I was left for an hour... ok that's fine I did squeeze in but then getting prep done she started with the drill and kept cutting me. I flinch and flinch and she keeps apologizing, then afterwards it seems like she didn't care anymore and kept cutting me. It all hurt sooo bad and this never happens anywhere else, as my nails are pretty big and I manage them well. They also left strings of fake nails on the insides. It was terrible and continued hurting afterwards wouldn't recommend :((( read more

I had an amazing first time here today! I called for availability and was in right away! I brought in a reference photo and Kathy manage to make it look better than the photo I showed her! Everything from shape, length, to design is exactly what I asked for and perfectly done. The inside of the salon is beautiful and definitely well kept up with. They even serve wine which I thought was pretty cool compared to most salons. I definitely will be back from now once! read more

I went to D&D nails for the first time & saw Kathy. She was amazing. She took the photo I provided & did EXACTLY what I wanted. The length, the shape, the color, everything is what I wanted!! Totally worth it. They have drinks, WINE & coffee. It's a busy place and there might be a wait but worth it! Thank you Kathy! See you again soon read more
