I've also gone in before for a pedicure and had a great experience. Unfortunately, within three days one nail chipped and three others had minor chipping that I had to fix myself. I bought a $75 gift card in November. I live in Seattle but my best friend lives in Tacoma so I have gotten my nails done here when visiting her. In January I made an appointment for my best friend's birthday to get both of our nails done. On the day of she was unable to get childcare so I had to cancel our appointments. I was told my gift card was on file on my account. Because of this I had not kept the gift card in my email. I got my nails done today. When I went to pay, I told them I had a gift card on file. The person checking me out told me that the gift card was used the day I cancelled my appointment. I told him I had cancelled the appointment and did not get my nails done that day. He basically told me too bad. I told him to look up my account which would show I never checked in for that appointment and could not have used my gift card that day. He refused to do so. He said my email and phone call would have had to have been used that day. They would have been the only person that day to have my information since I had not physically been there. Asked for a certain color to see if they could do it, was not what I asked for. Paid $95 for a full set of acrylic, nothing special just color and acrylic nail. Hated the color so I went to their other location out in proctor in which they charged me an additional $40 to get them repainted. They also missed a part of my nail from the acrylic and all of the nails are tilted up. Let's talk about La Bella. La Bella is great at what they do. They are on a higher price end for Tacoma but it is worth it. They take care of your cuticles and your nail beds. Also are kind in an environment where you can feel weird especially if you dislike the way your feet or nails look in general. They make you feel welcomed and don't make it feel uncomfortable if you have disfigured toe or finger or whatever. Also if you communicate nicely and respectful with them they are happy to help adjust to what you need done. I enjoy coming here and giving my money to this establishment. They offer a variety of manicures and pedicures that can fit your budget. Try them out and write a review for yourselves. Remember everyone be consistent with your selfcare it's needed man or woman. I went during the week at 9am and it wasn't busy at all so I got in right away and overall was only there for about 30 minutes. The place is very clean and newer feeling. It was a great experience overall and everyone was really nice. I will say they have transparent pricing and an ipad where they have you put your service with the pricing, however, I showed an inspo picture of french tips knowing it would be a little more and they just selected just the manicure option even though there are add ons they could have added. It only ended up being $10 more for the french tips (total $50) so not bad I just wish nail salons in particular were a little more upfront especially when I go out of my way to show an inspo photo before I even get someone selected to do my nails. I did come in with bare nails and had grown them out kinda longer/filed them at home a tad as well so didn't get acrylics. The girl I had was great though and had a steady hand I would consider possibly going back and trusting her with a harder design too, unfortunately I didn't get her name. She also put the color on one finger then had me check it if I liked it before doing the rest, same with the sizing of the tips too. I have come to this salon many times for nail services. They did an excellent job until they came under new ownership and changed their name to Coco nail salon. The first time I came to them after they changed their name, I had made an appointment, and they didn't even start working on me until 45 minutes after my appointment start time. I told them that at that point, I was in a bit of a hurry since I had a reservation I needed to get to. They did not do the full acrylic set I wanted, and instead did a fill, which did not look good. But they charged me for a full set anyway. I decided to give them a second chance since I had liked the services I had received previously. I made an appointment for waxing services and nail services. When I arrived for my waxing appointment, I was told that the waxing lady did not work that day. I asked why I was able to make an appointment online, and I had been sent a text to confirm the appointment. Why had they not called me to reschedule? They said "maybe the receptionist was confused." I reiterated that I had made the appointment on their website. I then asked if I could begin my nail appointment early, since I had booked an 80 minute waxing appointment prior to my nail appointment. Then, the husband or boyfriend of one of the workers, who was in the lobby, began yelling at me, saying that the ladies didn't need to apologize to me so many times for a simple mistake. I told him I was confused, because I had not raised my voice at them at all, and had simply tried to clarify why the website had allowed me to make this appointment and why they had sent me a text confirming it, when the waxing lady was not working. He then told me that I was being "a bitch." Again, this was someone who was involved with one of the women working in the salon. I of course, immediately left, because I did not feel safe. I never raised my voice, demanded free services, or anything like that. I just said I was confused. In conclusion, I will never be going back. The treatment I received was absolutely terrible. They do nice work, but apparently their scheduling and website is all messed up, and they have aggressive boyfriends in the lobby who will yell at you for no reason. read more

I'm super disappointed in this business. I am voting with my poorly manicured hands and feet from here on out and just never going to come back, but not without saying my piece here first in an effort to spare anyone else the aggravation I have already endured. I do my own nails a lot of the time; I respect what professionals can do that I cannot. Small mistakes or imperfections here or there really don't bother me. However, this business is egregiously inconsistent. The level of the mistakes being made don't feel accidental so much as lazy, uncaring, and/or lacking in standard. I've had different staff work on me each time, so it's not an isolated issue. In fact, one tech I actually had more than once wasn't even consistent in quality from one manicure to the next. My cuticles were cut the first time, but not the second, my lengths were uneven the first time, but not the second, etc. With a recently gifted gift card, I decided to give the Stadium location a try today. All my other visits were at Proctor and I hoped maybe my issues with this business were specific to that location and my mind would be changed. My cousin and I were sat down and asked to both have the Winter Pedicure with gel polish. They inform us it will be a $20 charge for gel polish. That is not standard practice at other salons (+$10) and in fact I know I've spent $60 on the exact same service at the Proctor location. Anyway, I'm not gonna argue pricing and I didn't feel comfortable spending $70 on the pedicure, knowing I had budgeted for a manicure too (and tip), so we switched to regular polish for the pedicure. Neither of us got the hot stones or massage that are included in the price of the winter service, AND THEY DIDN'T EVEN APPLY TOP COAT to EITHER of our pedicures! Or if what they put on us they're going to claim was top coat, someone mislabeled or misread because my toes were dull with no shine whatsoever. I had to legitimately go home and put top coat on my pedicure afterwards. My cousin got a Classic Manicure but opted out of getting color because she could still see dirt left under her nails they'd just apparently "cleaned" and decided to just cut her losses then (while already out $95). I, having a gift card to use and obviously not planning to come back for another terrible experience, continued on. I got extensions with dip powder. As soon as she finished and I looked them over, I could very obviously see the mistakes made. The color had been drilled off in spots on the sidewalls, there are scuffs, one has a bubble, is noticeably crooked and is shaped incorrectly. It was just all around bad bad bad. I was incredibly frustrated, but it was just the final nail (ha) in the coffin, so I saw no point in making fuss or asking them to fix them. And honestly, it's hard to imagine they could've done anything else but make them worse. At this rate, I should've gone to the Proctor location just for a comparatively less bad (but still, very bad) experience. I can speculate on whether the source of these issues is management or staff, but I imagine it's a little of both. I have a hard time believing that a nail tech with a big bright light shining in front of my nails doesn't see the same mistakes I can see in much poorer lighting, so it's either they see the mistakes and they don't care, or they don't see the mistakes to begin with. Both are bad, but I think the first is worse. My toes and feet look like I spent $40 instead of $110. And ironically enough, I've gotten astronomically better mani-pedis for $40. TL;DR DO NOT COME HERE. They have serious issues they need to fix and are making no efforts to. Your money would be better spent elsewhere. read more

She did great with my nails, they're the right length and shape, and there's no bumps or cuts on my nails either. I went to get my nails done thanksgiving week, I got gelx everyone was super kind and all no problem during the service it was afterwards. My nails were gorgeous and all but 2 days later my gelx popped off perfectly off one finger and then the following days they all begin to fall off. It wasn't like they were broken, but the only reason they would perfectly pop off if it was not placed on correctly and there were air bubbles. I call the salon on Monday and tell them what's going on, the receptionist said she would tell her manager. I waited till Friday to get a response and nothing so I called again this time a male receptionist and he said he will get me an answer by end of day. Next Monday comes along and I get no response I call again and I'm told the same thing.
