We have been travelling to the Blue Ridge area for years for Thanksgiving and we always had a BBQ day at another joint. This time we decided to try The Pink Pig and we didn't regret it. The service staff was very helpful since we have a dog and we have to be seated outside. Although they don't wait tables outside during winter, they were very helpful and brought our food outside. My wife had the pork and I had the beef. Both were delicious. The coleslaw is highly recommended. Although my wife is not a big fan of Southern style baked beans (sugary), she had a got at them and found them much better than the ones she had tried before. We had a lovely afternoon, with good weather and good views from the uphill seating area and we look forward to come back next year. And the price was good value for our money and service. read more

The customer service was good the decor was rustic and what you expect of a BBQ place. They used a sauce for the ribs and I prefer a dry rub, the ribs could have could a little longer. The banana pudding was good. read more

Wonderful food Great Taste and the decor reminds me of the old school restaurants. We had the pulled pork and pulled chicken with green beans Mac and cheese and home made fries. I could have had each one by themselves. Will recommend this place to everyone I know. read more

BBQ was excellent, some of the best we've had. Meat was tender with no tough bark. We are from out of town and have eaten at a lot of different bbq places and this is definitely one of the better ones. Sides were good (potato salad, beans, fries). If back in the area will definitely make a point to go back. We didn't order one but the blooming onion ordered a table over looked delicious. read more

Friendly service, good brisket & pulled pork sandwiches. The pulled pork was a bit dry but there were several sauces on the table to improve the flavor and add moisture for the meat. It's a busy place and service is prompt. Glad we stopped here for lunch. read more

This is a very well know and popular BBQ place, but the food is not outstanding. Sometimes it is very good, and sometimes it is just so-so. But we do really like the garlic salad. As local people, we have eaten there many times. Interesting to visit just to see all the paraphernalia on the walls. read more

This restaurant was recommend by some locals in Blue Ridge. We stopped in for lunch and the food wasn't good at all.. The brisket was flavorless and the pork ribs tasted as if they had been boiled then cooked in a oven. No rub or smoke could be tasted. Like many of the barbecue restaurants in this part of the country they think just cover it with sauce and all good. If that's the case then I can save a lot of my hard earned money and just buy some cattle mans BBQ sauce and put it on bread. Save your money and eat anywhere else. read more

We just returned from our second Christmastime road trip to the Blue Ridge area and the Pink Pig was the only place we made a point to visit again. Maybe it's doesn't rank with the best barbecue places around the South but we think it's pretty tasty and very friendly. Brother-in-law got fried chicken livers and the rest of us got BBQ of some sort, with a variety of sides and desserts. I do think the sweet potato waffle fries are better than the made-in-house fries. Next time I will remember to ask for the spicy sauce because even this wimp wants something a little zingier than sweet sauce (other than vinegar). read more

Well, the pork was average, but the brisket was not what I had hoped for and the chicken was extremely dry. Also, the Mac n' cheese didn't have much flavor to it and the French fries came out cold. The Brunswick stew was average, but I would only recommend it if you like your stew tomatoey. The service wasn't that great either, my entire table didn't have water for at least 30 minutes. Finally, I wouldn't recommend this for large parties because the space is really small. Personally, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant, maybe they were just having a bad day. read more

Delicious BBQ with rustic charm. This place was recommended to us by a friendly sales person in Ellijay. My husband and I and our two kids thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Ate here with the family on a busy 4th of July weekend. the place is cute, but not small or cozy. Everything was edible, but not extraordinary. Chopped pork sliders were free of gristle, but not very flavorful - almost dry. My son enjoyed the ribs, but his hand-cut fries were greasy and less appetizing. The only reason that the Pink Pig received 3 stars on my review is the high quality of their side dishes & service. I tried both the BBQ pork, and the beef brisket. Both were DRY - not juicy at all. This is something that keeps popping up in reviews of this place, so I hope the owners of the Pink Pig eventually listen to the reviews. Their side salad was very nice. Sweet potato fries were great - nice & crisp, with a tender sweet potato center (almost like a baked sweet potato). The green beans and cole slaw were great (according to my son). There was very little smoke flavor to the BBQ, and it was dry. Have I mentioned that Pink Pig's BBQ pork & beef are both dry? The owners seem to depend on the BBQ sauce to add moisture to their smoked meats, which is not what I expect in quality BBQ. read more

I ordered the brisket plate and it was all old burnt ends. The baked beans had no flavor and was right out of the can just heated up. The bread roll was a plain small store bought one not even heated up. The sweet potato fries were tasty but burnt. Service was just so so. Hello Pink Pig People said this was the best B.B.Q. around Blue Ridge Ga. so we tryed two othe rplaces in Blue Ridge and they were edible that's all. So we waited for family to come in to town so we could eat at the P.P. and no way never again. Fries were cooked in the morning stiff and cold all 5 plates. The pulled pork was like bubble gum in your mouth. The mac and cheese was not as good as velvetta store bought brand. The chicken was as dry as if it was still being dry aged. The bill was not even itemized so we had them fix that. The waitress vanished into we don't know what. If the reviews are good its because of people who have not eaten in cities that have great food. We had hoped to experience some local flavor by going here. It was rated highly by the company that we rented the cabin from. However, we were sorely dissapointed. My wife and I had the pork plate, and the pork was chopped pork, and was dry and cold. I had the macaroni and cheese as a side and it was very bland and I am not sure it was "home-made". We also tried the brunswick stew and it was nothing to be impressed with either. My daughter had chicken tenders that were just ok, and my son had the half chicken which was also dry. Everything was just kinda meh.... However, my wife did have the baked potato as a side, and said that was the best part of the meal. The classic roadside BBQ joint. Pork is lean with just the right amount of smoke, and the ribs are fall off the bone tender and tasty. The sides are excellent and save room for the blackberry cobbler or the homemade bananna pudding. You even get your choice of sauces. Not a BBQ fan? Delicious food with great service and decent prices. They are known for their bar-be-que (which is the best in Gilmer County) but their fried chicken or Hamburger Steak is awesome as well.
