Visited after a recommendation from the Conductors at Tri-State Model Train down the road. Great BBQ and sides. I had the half rack and took three home for lunch. My wife enjoyed the pulled pork. I ordered for takeout and the person over the phone was so helpful and upbeat. I had the pulled pork sandwich, which was good along with the chili (which was my favorite of the two). The parking was a bit difficult as there are limited spaces and I had to drive around a bit to find somewhere down the road. It bbq sauce was good and complimented the brisket. The mac and cheese was rather lackluster and reminded me of the stuff that comes out of a box where you heat it up on a stove. I hate leaving unstellar reviews, but we were really disappointed. The food is really underwhelming. My in-laws, husband and myself went, we have had BBQ all over the US. And this just wasn't much of anything, a lot of tasted like it was straight from the grocery deli. It's not a clean space and really we were surprised it has past board of health standards, my in-laws got sick after eating here too and couldn't stay out of the bathroom once we got them back to their home. Cute little restaurant on the side of the main road. Mike's BBQ tastes as fresh as it looks. The atmosphere was comforting and had both an indoor and outdoor seating area. The menu was limited, with few sections with Sandwiches, Plates and Ribs. They also had a variety of sides including chips, potato salad, greens and Mountain Dew Apples. I ended up going with the dinner plate of pulled pork. My plate also came with 2 sides, I chose green beans and the Mountain Dew apples. The Mountain Dew apples were delicious and warm. As for the pork, it was soft and melted in my mouth. The Smokey undertones were complemented by the sweet barbecue sauce. It also came with a side of Texas garlic butter toast! The ribs literally fell right off the bones as you picked them up. They were flavorful and very meaty. The Mac and cheese is a good choice for a flavorful side. Nice and creamy. Would go with this one or the apples. Pro Tip: Come early they have no closing time because they sell out quick on weekends! read more

Mike's Trackside BBQ is full of locals and that's on my book a good sign. They didn't disappoint anyone in my group. You were lucky that we visited this gem on a Thursday. They have a special for $5 pull por sandwich that is a must have. I highly recommend it with a side of either chili or Brunswick Stew. I chose the Chilli but be careful, it has a kick of his own. Parking: Outside and plenty. The place is on a corner and very easy to find. I'm sure is known by everyone in Blue Ridge GA. Food: Excellent. We almost tried everything on the menu. The chicken was a bit dry but everything else made up for it. I know that the term ribs right off the bone is overused, but it fits the mold here. The pull pork was probably my best ever. I can say the best 5 bucks ever spent. They keep their sauces warm in a crop pot and they are both AWESOME. The sweet was great for kids, but the spicy was the perfect mix of flavor and spiciness. You can safely enjoy it with your items. It became a bit addictive to me. If they would sell it, I would have taken some. Staff: Recommended different options, including what would be great for sharing and what not to. She was on top of everyone's drinks and needs. She is definitely getting her 10K steps each day lol. Drinks: No alcohol here. They keep their drinks simple. Tea, Pepsi products and lemonade. Decor was cool with antiques and very cozy. This was definitely a great place for lunch. After a long road-trip with extended family, we dropped in for a bite. And I have to say, their food is great. First off, this place is old. It looks like a trailer house from the 60s, but once you go inside, it is quite lively. The dining areas are really small, so don't expect to have room for a dozen friends. The walls were decorated with old truck license plates, and old toys, and other odds and ends. The menu didn't have a large selection, so it was difficult to decide on what we wanted. I ordered a Pulled BBQ Sandwich (The Tumbleweed is what it was called, I believe.) It was magnificent. It was HUGE and covered the entire bottom bun, and covered most of the plate. The barbecue sauce was spicy, but I enjoyed it. (if you have a thing for sauce being too spicy, you might not like it.) The prices were decent: Not to high, not to low. Just about right. And the waitress was very polite, and always happy to help. If I was hanging out with friends, I'd definitely stop by here again. Good stuff. read more

By far the worst BBQ I have ever had. I spent a total of $24 for two chicken buns with sides and my god. It was absolutely disgusting. Nothing but chicken that tasted boiled and rubbery and a bun. I called to give feedback because i feel as though it is important especially for the high star rating it has... IN BLUE RIDGE. Will never come back to this location. Maybe the pork is good?? I wouldn't know but I asked the manager how they cook their chicken and she said it's a secret. Then she told me it's smoked? And then grilled, and then she said not grilled??? So do you not know how your chicken is prepared? God knows what is going on in that kitchen. Do not get chicken bun. read more

Room for improvement: Pulled pork, chicken, every side item, toast, and the bbq sauces were all pretty bland. We had a group of 6 so we got to try quite a few things. Only the ribs stood out. They were out of wings so we didn't get to try those. There was an alarming "decoration" in the bathroom. There was a plunger shaped like a gun that said "if it's brown, it's down". I want to give them the benefit of the doubt in regards to what it meant, but I had a couple of friends of color with me that did not feel comfortable here after seeing it. read more

This is probably sone of the best ribs I've ever eaten in my life. I typically don't get ribs because when ribs aren't cooked right, they're just bad. I got the 1/2 rack on a whim. Wow! They fell right off the bone and were juicy and flavorful. For $18, you get a 1/2 rack, two sides and bread. It's a steal. I ordered the pinto beans (which I never see at a bbq place) with onions and potato salad (no egg). Everything was delicious. I couldn't finish my meal and it's easily a shareable meal. BBQ is one of my favorite types of food and this place did not disappoint. We passed at least 2 more bbq places on our way there, but I'm glad this is where we stopped. read more
