    Delicious brisket plate.

Delicious brisket plate! I enjoy going to Stateline as often as I can. You will not be disappointed. The fried okra is the best I've ever had.

Great bbq place right next to the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway in McCaysville, GA. My husband ordered the brisket plate, with tater tots, & mac & cheese & I got the daily special, which was the Brunswick Stew & a grilled cheese. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his brisket, as did I with the stew, which came with a lot of meat in it! Service was fast & very friendly. Good choice if you're in the area!

Mediocre at best. Food was served barely room temp. I asked for pickles 2 times and never received. Waste of money

Taking the train from Blue Ridge to McCaysville,Ga /Copperhill, TN? You've got to try lunch at Stateline BBQ!! So delicious, with every touch of southern hospitality. Matt! You sure know bbq. My husband had the brisket plate with baked beans and coleslaw. The toast was delicious. And yes, I almost stole it all from his plate. I had the Brunswick Stew. It was deliciously layered with the perfect flavors and delivered warmth this cool cloudy day. I was impressed with the service and cleanliness. You've got a great establishment. We will definitely be back to stateline BBQ for sure!!! Thank you for providing great food and great fun. We all need a dose of that these days. Thank you! Keep up the good work!!

Food is consistently good here that this huge unique bread. I think I've tried all the different meats at different types. I've been here. I don't have any complaints about any of it. My past reviews include, Joes from Kansas City, The Shed from Mississippi, Big Bob Gibson's in Alabama along with another place that won awards, Blacks in Texas where BBQ began, other Texas places that said they were the best, 4 Rivers Smokehouse from the original location that was ranked 4th in the nation in Florida, bbq in Chattanooga and tons of other places which were ranked nationally and locally. Please read my other reviews. So we came here after helping someone that was stuck at long creek hike. So I found this place and asked my wife to go here. To my surprise, Jim's Smokin Que has won numerous awards. So we pulled up and the place was already humming. Cool shows the place is good in the middle of nowhere. We walked in and met Jolie. Very nice girl. Bubbly personality. She talked us into the chicken sausage which is her favorite. We also got 3 other meats of ribs, pulled pork and brisket. Jolie said the ribs are award winning and the pork and brisket are people's favorites. She also said the macaroni salad is also award winning and is different from a classic macaroni salad. Beans were very good as well as the collard greens. She then offered to give us samples of whatever we want. She gave us a sample of the collard greens which won my wife over. We then ordered the 4 meats with 2 sides. We got the ribs, brisket, pork and chicken sausage and got beans, collard greens and macaroni salad which we paid extra for. We then got our food. So here is where once you say you're award winning or something is the best where the feet hit the pavement. If this was a normal place and didn't have numerous articles about award winning I would give this place an overall 5 star but a 4.5 overall. However, due to it needing to be judged by their awards I have to be fair. The ribs were very good. Thick, 3 ribs, tasty and sweet. The pork was good, tasty but ran a little dry. The brisket was good however, again a little dry. The chicken sausage was good. Reminded me of like a Chicago sausage with the peppers and onions. The pork and brisket weren't dry where I needed water to drink after but wasn't moist as it should have been. The beans were really good. Sweet with pork and delicious. The collard greens were good. My wife loved them. The macaroni was my wife's favorite thing. The bbq sauces are homemade and thick. Very good. We then got to go another order of macaroni and the peanut butter chocolate pie. The chocolate pie was good. Very sweet. Not really a pie. More of a pudding. Overall, for it being an award winner, I think the pork and brisket lost points. Still very good overall. 4.25 I'd give it.

We were just past the lunch crowd at 1:11 arrival on a Thursday, but there was still a decent crowd in the restaurant. Booths are big, room for eight regular sized folk. We were only two. Collard greens were on the menu today as was potato skin fingers and Brunswick stew. I chose the brisket plate, wet, with collards and baked beans. My wife got the same with collards and potato skins. Each of those was a premium side for an extra $2.50, but well worth it. Every single thing we ate was a 10 out of 10. We loved the collards,, tender, served with hot pepper vinegar, as the Good Lord intended and not sweet, like the heretics that put brown sugar in their collards. The brisket was Smokey and tender and perfectly seasoned, add a bit of hot bbq sauce. Baked beans were sweet, as they should be, and had some meat chunks in there, again, as they ought. A slice of Texas Toast accompanied. We were initially overlooked as our server, Robin, didn't know that we had been seated. She was apologetic about our three minute wait - which tells you, Robin is a great server! I mean, it was only three minutes, but she took our drink order and our food order at the same time, immediately served drinks and 15 minutes later served our food. The space will fit a lot of folks. This was an excellent lunch choice, good for crowds, good for single diners too. It was so good, we figured it's only 87 miles from our home in Greenville, SC and could be an occasional day trip destination for lunch. Or, we need to convince the family to open up a Greenville location. There's an idea. Don't hesitate to dine here, and consider bringing a cooler for some "to go" orders for later. You won't regret it.

Lots of outdoor seating and they also have a drive through window. Just follow their entrance signs then the enter here sign but somehow missed the order here sign once inside. Thanks to the cashier for waving at us we then got back on track. Cashier was wonderful super nice and friendly. We ordered a couple of the 4 meat platter ($24) with choices of brisket, pulled pork, bbq ribs, turkey and pork sausage. For the sides mashed potatoes, geen beans, mac and cheese and potato salad. All the sides were really good but the meats not so much. The pulled pork was flavorless, brisket was on the dry side, ribs fell of the bone but were also flavorless and could not taste the smoke flavor. Turkey and pork sausage were the best. You get your choices of sauces . I stuck with original sweet bbq. My biggest disappointment was the corn bread. It was actually more of a corn meal muffin. No corn flavor and it was dry. You get two with your platter. I regret not ordering the Texas toast. Overall the place was clean, spacious with plenty of parking, great staff, signs everywhere but not the best bbq food I ever had.
