Ordered two BBQ turkey sandwich which they charged 11.75 with one side. When I got home to open the sandwich no BBQ sauce for either sandwich's the buns were soggy smash down . I called to inform the business talked to manger John which laugh after explaining disappointment spending 25.00 for two sandwiches and was offered a desert for my dissatisfaction. Public beware if you're going to eat at this location do not leave the drive through without checking your order. This isn't first time that something supposedly was forgotten with the order. read more

Though it's an outside seating establishment, they have covered area with clean tables and it was nice to be able to feel the breeze. This was our first time and I was excited to try the smoked turkey plate. most places its basic and needs a lot of sauce but the flavor was phenomenal and has become my favorite smoke turkey plate I've had. I tried my husband's brisket Mac and it was great as well. the service was great. the lady didn't make us feel rushed in our selections and answered all questions. When they brought the food out, they didn't hesitate to come back with anything we asked for in addition. This may be my go to lunch spot in the area. read more

Very friendly folks. If you drive too fast you might miss it. Small little place so all the seating is outside or you are in the drive thru getting it to go Uber flavor in the brisket tacos. Great local BBQ spot. Had the turkey and brisket mac n cheese. Turkey had a nice smoke flavor but was a little dry, sauces definitely helped out. The food and service were awesome! I got the brisket, tater salad, and coleslaw. My friends both got pulled pork. We loved it. We actually went to Murphy's Chophouse first but ended up walking out due to a man trying to cut in front of us for a table and being very rude when his wife called him out for it. We were staying in Blue Ridge and wanted to go to Murphy for the day. Narrowed it down to two places. From what I could tell the other restaurant only served a Tennessee sweet sauce. Big Nick's had a sweet sauce, a vinegar sauce, and a mustard sauce. I figured if we were going to NC I wanted to be able to try a NC sauce. Only downside is the only seating is outdoors. It was a nice day so it wasn't a problem. Girl at the counter was super friendly and interacted with my four year old really well. Now for the whole reason we were there, the food. We got the half rack of ribs, pulled pork sandwich, hamburger, and chicken tenders. Everybody was happy with what they got. Healthy portions for a fair price. If they sold their vinegar sauce I would have left with a couple bottles. If back in Murphy we will stop again. read more

Have been a customers of Nick's for quite a while have tried them at their other locations also. food is a good quality and fresh. The only thing lacking at the Murphy location is usually customer service. The counter help seems to be just ordertakers and not involved in the customer service aspect of taking the order. if you ask a question, they do not take time to explain things to you. make sure you always ask for sauce because they never usually put it in the bag or ask you what kind of sauce you want. read more

Cute Driveup with outdoor seating. Fast friendly service. We ate in our car because it was raining. They brought our lunch to the car! Everything was top notch! Brisket Sandwich was tender and had a bite and a crunch. Pulled pork sandwich was spot on fall apart tender with a beautiful mildly spicy BBQ sauce (and they are not afraid of black pepper which I love). The buns were sized appropriately. Waffle fries seasoned beautifully and crisp. Baked beans delicious! Banana pudding excellent! But that peanut butter pie! I was SO full and swore I would not eat the whole thing (but I did)! The brisket here was my highlight, I couldn't believe how perfectly tender it was. The pulled pork sammie was also very good. Out of all the sauces we tried, the mustard bbq was my favorite. Highly recommended by my Mom, we decided to stop by here for some lunch. Ordering by drive-thru was fast and the cashier was very friendly and patient with us while we browsed the impressive menu. Ordered the pulled pork sandwich with waffle fries. My immediate reaction when biting into a waffle fry was an audible "Wow!" - buttery, just enough salt and super crispy. The pulled pork sandwich came carefully wrapped and inside was a pulled pork patty with a layer of dry rub on top. Included was a cup of BBQ sauce which I kept adding to the sandwich between each bite. The pork was nice and tender and the layering of dry rub is what makes the sandwich easily. A good balance of flavors all together. BBQ sauce was slightly smoky and not too sweet. Price point is similar to a full dine in restaurant but the quality speaks for itself. Food was good, but the girl at the counter made a comment about how I should take my food to the gym. For that reason, I won't be back. The music inside at the counter was loud, but it was country music so it wasn't as bad as it could be. Counter girl ruined my experience, so I'm going to Rib Country next time. read more

They're new, and the food is really good. Nice to do an online order, but wish I could have picked it up in the lobby (closed by COViD) instead of waiting in the drive thru. They left out an item and forgot several sauces (which is a critical part of a BBQ experience, particularly since they give a lot of meat). the meat is really tender, and I wish we would have received the brisket green beans, but c'est la vie. They put bacon in the tater salad (yum) and the dirty fries are awesome. Hope they do well. read more

Have had the food from here a few times at work, and have noticed it was either very good or less than mediocre. Have ordered twice from home (outside of Murphy), and both times part of my order was left out and it wasn't discovered until we got home. The first time it was the side of fries we ordered and paid for. I called and received a huge apology and was offered a free peanut butter pie the next time we were there (never gotten). Tonight they omitted the drink we ordered and paid for even after I asked if my order was complete and explained what happened the last time. When I called tonight I spoke to an employee and then the "manager." There was no apology from either and I was asked by the "manager" what I wanted to do about it. I would have liked you to offer an apology and for management to come up with a better way to ensure their customers get what they ordered and paid for, and for the food to be consistent. read more
