Went with my cousin and her husband over the weekend and the sandwiches we got were pretty tasty! I got the Italian, and it was massive, definitely big enough to share or take home for dinner. My cousin got the same and her husband got The Rachel I think, he said it was good but he's man of very few words, but he had it eaten before I had even eaten a few bites of mine so I assume that meant he really enjoyed it. The drinks were a really good fountain drinks which has been harder and harder to find. The only thing I wasn't blown away by was the sides, we had pasta salad, and Cole slaw and they were fine, nothing bad just wasn't really worth the extra calories. We had to change our order to a to go order because it was taking ridiculously long. Service is not good and the staff were not very helpful and said sorry we only have one chef. I picked Red Brick when we traveled to Murphy because a review stated they had gluten-free wraps. Nope! That was the previous owner. Since I am gluten intolerant, options were slim. I chose the Chef Salad, no tomatoes. As you can see by the picture, this salad really needs the color of tomatoes, and is very bland without them. Also, in a deli, I was expecting sliced, rather than shaved, meats. I personally find shaved meats very unappetizing. But because I was hungry, and had ordered it, I ate the salad. I had a side of potato salad, too, which I found more to my liking. Hubby had the Cuban. The waitress said the bread is made locally. He found the sandwich to be adequate. If you're going to order to go give them at least 40-45 minutes. They told me 20-25 minutes and I waited for 43 minutes. Two sandwiches with chips and pickles was also 35 dollars. Forgot our extra dressings as well. The food tasted great. read more

A little pricey as our lunch was just over $40 for two Monte Christo sandwiches , coffee and $2 small portion of potato salad. I was able to save half the sand which for later for a tasty treat. I would have loved to be able to comment on the food, but after 15 minutes we didn't have menus and after another 15 minutes 2 other tables that arrived well after us had been waited on. The self-righteous, take it or leave it slogan on the menu sums up the level of effort they intend to put into serving customers who keep the lights on; "good food, not fast food". We came here based on the recommendation of everyone we ran into. And they led us right where we needed to be. I had the Reuben on rye with potato salad. My daughter had the same thing on a gluten free wrap. My bestie ordered the hot ham and cheese sandwich. We all had the potato salad based on recommendations. All of us raved about our sandwiches. And the potato salad was amazing. We all took half of our sandwiches back to our cabin with us. The service was very friendly. Our server, Sam, came and checked on us several times and refilled our drinks. Our only regret was that we didn't have room for dessert. We were told the apple pie is incredible. Had lunch today Fri with wife and mil. They split a hot ham sandwich that came with a side. They choose potato chips which were fresh and plentiful. They both said the sandwich was good and had plenty of meat and provolone. I had the lamb gyro. Pita was fresh, lamb was tough and lacked any flavor same for the tsatziki sauce. Ventured to Murphy today and while window shopping we decided to grab a bite to eat (more than a bite). Red Brick Deli looked interesting. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a bubbly young lady (Bria). So welcoming and told us to have a seat anywhere. She took our drink order and informed us of the special which was The Bulldog in which we both ordered. The Bull dog was hot corned beef and pastrami of rye with sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and homemade Russian dressing. Since it was the special it comes with a drink, 1 side and a cookie or brownie. What a deal! We both had it with the pasta salad (good) as our side and iced tea. When the sandwiches arrived we were impressed. They really were piled with the meat and sauerkraut. The side was small but we really didn't need it. The sandwich really made us almost overly full. Bria dropped by and asked us what we wanted for dessert. I thought it just came with the cookie or brownie but I was wrong. She listed quite a few desserts. I don't remember them all. My spouse had the brownie and I took the key lime pie. Both delicious. I really recommend this place. BTW they had a big list of soups available on a chalk board. I'd say at least 8 but I believe more. We left stuffed. We've ordered takeout 3 times from red brick this week. My favorite remains the pastrami Reuben--goodness me. A huge sandwich..enough for lunch the next day. Today we ordered to take a sandwich for a break while hiking. The piled high sandwich does not exaggerate. You have to request the pickle on the side. Our first day, we also ordered the brownie...wow. It had littl chocolate chunks in there. Wow again. One the second day, I ordered the club and it was really good and fresh as well. Traditional decorated interior with original hardwood floors, collectibles and even an original pay phone. Even the clean bathrooms were nicely decorated. The Rueben came hot with deli fresh corned beef sliced thin and piled high, sauerkraut, Swiss and homemade Russian dressing. The rye toasted to perfection and the side of potato salad was creamy with plenty of flavor. Staff were friendly and very apologetic, as they were short staffed and the loss of my order resulted in over a hour wait. They were so overwhelmed they closed early. This was our 2nd time eating at the Red Brick Deli, and it was AMAZING. Although at this time we could not dine in, we did enjoy the beautiful seating outside and the view of Downtown Murphy. We were so excited to finally try this place. I don't think these people have ever been to a deli. We had 2 sandwiches on texas toast, it was really just frozen white bread. Every eat frozen thawed bread? It just falls apart besides tasting like stale crap. The meat is a in little ziplock baggies they precut who knows how long ago. Cole slaw was awful we couldn't even eat it, it tasted like they rinsed it in old mop water. We had the pleasure of paying $36 for this mess. I think they use cream cheese in their potato salad and it is awesome! While there isn't a Jimmy John's or Jersey Mike's anywhere around, both are a much better choice for price, value and quality of sandwiches compared to RBD. If a Jimmy John's or Jersey Mike's opened in or around Murphy it was cause some serious (and much needed, imho) competition for RBD and other Murphy sandwich shops. read more

The food itself was so so; we ordered the Rachel with pasta salad and the Cuban with potato salad. Pasta salad needed more flavor, but potato salad was good. I was expecting the Rachel to be "over stuffed" as boasted in the slogan, but it wasn't. The flavor of both sandwiches was good however.
