She disappeared into the kitchen and came back with the menus a while later. We ordered margaritas. We noticed our server making the margaritas. Wow! She is a bartender too? Welp, that was short lived. The margaritas were clear ice. No flavor, nada. Our server had by then disappeared, so we tried to flag down other servers...but they quickly just passed our table. Legends needs to introduce the "team" attitude amongst their servers just like Murphy's chophouse staff, but I digress. Our server finally appeared again at our table, and we told her about the margaritas. She quickly said "I told you they were awful!" Before I could respond she quickly added "Oh no, I told that other table that!". She suggested different drinks, and we agreed. She went to the bar, made them, and delivered them. They were awful. We stuck with water after that. Legends needs to have actual, certified and trained bartenders working. That would also have helped our server SERVE better, as she had to keep diverting to the bar to make drinks for her various tables. We inquired about the Southwestern egg rolls, she said "those come frozen, they aren't made here". So we ordered the chips and queso dip which she said were "made in house". The queso dip was bland. And during our visit, our server kept dropping some vulgar words, which we felt was inappropriate for a server to use while serving patrons in a restaurant. We have loved Perrone's, Poor Parsons, and Murphy's Chophouse. We won't be returning to or recommending Legends.

Last night we ordered 3 cheese steak subs. Each one was ordered to be made differently. Not only was each sub perfecly made but they were delicious! So nice to find folks with such good customer service. I have been looking for a place that makes subs like this, and for us , these are the best in Murphy. Long ago I worked for years at a sub shop in NJ so I know how a sub should be made. I'm glad we found your shop and will definitely be ordering again! Thanks! read more

Husband had the Margharita (sp?) pizza and he said it was very good but the sauce wasn't like crushed fresh tomatoes as he'd hoped, but still good and he would order again but wants to try one of the pizzas with meat the next time. We sat at a table on the railing on the river, around 7:00, after a day at the lake and it was a perfect ending to the day with a blue drink (the Hawaiian cocktail on their menu - I can't remember what the name was), just enjoying the water and the Canada Geese and the ducks... I love that dogs are welcome on the patio. I don't have a dog myself so it is nice that they can be there. I'm not gonna lie, the one negative for us was the price and that's where they lost a star. We had the knots, 1 unlimited salad bar, 1 pizza, 1 iced tea and 1 cocktail and the total was $85 before the tip was added. Will we go back? I'm cautiously optimistic because of the ambiance and the knots!!

Not special needs friendly!!…read more The first time in all my 15.5 years of being a special needs mom. We were turned away at a restaurant. We were denied entry into the Twisted Tomato in downtown Blue Ridge, GA. I was giving my son with low vision human guide while he was using his white cane. My husband was holding our other son's hand as was skipping and stemming. As we approached the young hostess, she immediately said that they were short staffed and had a 90 minute wait. We looked around, there were empty seats, all patrons seemingly happily eating, other families with small children dining and everyone dressed casually. There wasn't a line or people sitting and waiting. She told us there were other family friendly restaurants that would be more accommodating and not too far of a walk away. Then smiled and said "Sorry". I am quite certain we were turned away for having special needs kids. I'm outraged, appalled and stunned. I have words, but they will be for the manager and better business bureau. I didn't cause a scene, as my kids deserve dignity.
