We enjoyed a lovely dinner tonight! We ordered the onion blossom appetizer - it was enough for 8 people! Huge! Cajun ranch sauce that came with it was delicious. We also enjoyed the salmon entree and a burger entree. Both were delicious. The highlight of our visit was this wonderful young server named Shamil (sp?). He was AMAZING! Professional, super friendly, very helpful and he really stood out as an amazing server and wonderful human being! We shall definitely return - there were many menu items we'd love to try in the future!

I had the burger and hubby had the special - a New York steak sandwich. We both enjoyed our food. The glasses are a bit small, so we ran out of drinks quickly; I'd rather have a larger glass. Four stars because the restroom stank. Hubby said the men's room had an odor, too. Hopefully, they'll take care of that.

Great place! Food is always delicious, we enjoy the live music. I'm only taking away a star due to the outside being pet friendly, I don't like animals and i want them near me or my food.

Chophouse's service in Murphy, NC concluded in an unexpected classless (cheap) way, when the young girl at the bar presented our $28 bottle of wine in a white plastic grocery bag - in a appalling way. However, the food, drinks, ambiance and service was great, as we have previously experienced from other Chophouse locations. The service from Shamil at Murphy was courteous, attentive and exceptional! Considering Chophouse's reputation and prices as a brand, there should be NO TOLERANCE of white plastic bags for food and especially take-out wine bottles (see picture for details). Chophouse Murphy should invest in wine bags!!

Excellent experience! In town for the weekend to go rafting. Food was 10/10. Started with their bread and olive oil which was very fresh. Ordered wedge salad. Huge with blue cheese crumbles and slabs of bacon. Entree ordered was the chef special Ribeye steak. The Chimi Churi sauce on top could not have been a better touch. Very friendly staff. Our server Shamil was very personable and did not try to over sell us on anything. Very genuine experience from him. Will 100% be back.

Well done. Only the extreme center had any indication of any pinkness. This is not a medium steak.

Prime rib was great. Our server "Kim" was very nice and attentive. Now, our only complaint is kind of a big one. My wife ordered a filet and requested it medium. If we go to a restaurant that doesn't claim to be a chophouse, we order it rare because they tend to overcook them. For such an expensive cut of meat, we were extremely disappointed. It was served well done. It had been a year or so since we last went in there. We'll wait another year or 2 before we risk it again.

May 14, 2023, Mother's Day Lunch for 4 - We arrived with a reservation for Mother's Day made on their website weeks in advance. We travelled from Philadelphia and had actually picked out what we wanted. However we were told that the website was 2 years old and that was NOT the menu etc etc. Was a little weird we got 'schooled' on THEIR mistake? No matter we found some other good things to have. Service was a little quirky and possibly because it was mother's day and older servers were off or the younger crowd was not interested. We had some trouble flagging down our waitress a few times and the place was not packed or that busy. Clean and nicely decorated - a nice location and great environment. My SIL got the waffles that he said were fantastic. The waffle was cooked perfectly and the batter tasty and sweet. a little bacon on the side as well. A real treat. 8/10 My BIL and my wife, got the lobster lunch with a stuffed potato (bacon, cheese etc) and a roasted butternut squash. both enjoyed it, obviously we were not expecting a LI or Maine 3 hour old fresh lobster, and these were very good quality and seemingly well stored and transported inland to Murphy NC near Chattanooga, TN? The butternut squash was nicely cooked and tasty per them both. 8/10 I got the traditional eggs benedict with ham and potatoes (its become my reference standard for breakfast and sadly my CAC score is up to 185 and my cholesterol is up a bit to now 148 total - so we are backing off on this meal in the future) Muffin was pretty toasted and firm, the eggs were a little undercooked and snotty those yokes actually 'cool' - a little attention and a few more seconds.... the hollandaise sauce was congealed and cool as well (possibly sitting a bit before it came out with the rest??) not an exceptional flavor. I the oddest part was there were the two very diminutive slices of ham under the eggs that I don't think were 50% of the muffin's size? Almost a garnish? Equally economical were the ten little cubes of potatoes in the breakfast potatoes with the meal. I don't need a lot of potatoes but this was almost comical to my wife and brother-in-law! 5/10. We had a good time, nothing horrible, just not great. Service needs work, gotta fix their website and reservations and digital presence. Some work in the kitchen with cooking, ingredient, and portions. We will probably go here again to check it out next time in Murphy.

Once you go up the stairs, you can see this is an upscale establishment. There's a nice bar area, piano playing and well around 10-15 tables. The interior is quite nice, though it's a bit bright inside for fine dining. We sat at the bar and had great service all night. Drinks were well made with quality ingredients. One strange thing... the kitchen is at the end of the bar and avail for all to see. While this is a positive, it's a bit small and I question how it'll scale if the restaurant was full. Of note, the dish cleaning area is next to the kitchen - also in the open and is a bit noisy. Not a huge deal, but worth a mention. To the food - we had 2 pasta dishes, the Carbonara and Pistachio pasta. The Carbonara was good, but the Pistachio dish was amazing. The menu did a poor job of explaining what's in the dish, but the staff was able to fill us in. It was a cream sauce with sautéed onions, prosciutto and crushed Pistachios. The flavor was fantastic. The wine list is pretty basic with few red options. This area needs some work. They should also allow a corkage fee to permit folks to bring higher end wine. The folks next to us had the Bruschetta and Lasagne and said both were great. Nice new addition to Murphy that will only keep getting better as they work out the kinks.

The view of Mt Yonah was stunning, the setup of the place was cool, and the ambiance of their inside/outside area was nice. My two complaints are that it got pretty cold in their glass windowed area- they had a small heater but it wasn't doing much, and they don't give free cups of water here. I'd recommend adding larger heaters and getting a couple of them, considering how cold it can get in North GA in the winter. I'd also recommend giving free water instead of requiring that people buy bottled water. If you were in the Atlanta area, not offering free water would be a code violation. Not sure if that applies here but just to be courteous to your customers you should be doing that. Back to the positives... I ordered a coffee based frappe with the "glamping" flavor (white chocolate and marshmallow) and I thought it was amazing. 10/10. I would definitely order it again. My order came out in a decent amount of time and the employees were friendly. The prices were reasonable and we found parking easily. I would happily come here again! I think there could be a couple improvements (the water issue is why I deducted a star) but if they address those few things then I'd think the place is a 5/5 :) I would come back! (And bring my water bottle with me lol)

I would never come here if I was in a hurry, but if you have 2+ hours to eat and want good food in a storied place with staff who will treat you like friends, you're going to love the Rampant Lion. NOTES: -In rural TN, it should not surprise you, but be aware that they have Trump displays in the restaurant. -The restrooms are single stall and accessed from outdoor. They're indoor restrooms - just the door to access them is on the outside. (No porta potties) They're solidly clean - just make sure to pack clothing that works for the temperature outside because you might be dipping outside a few times. -Parking lot is small and gravel. Relatively easy to get in and out of though. -Amazing gin selection with staff that *clearly* knows their gins. -Adorable photos of the owners on slideshow of their trip to Europe on the wall. It's adorably and clearly a couple who was on a good vacation. We've had a good chunk of their menu at this point. Pretzels: Delicious beer chese AND delicious pretzels. Quite a bit of food with this too. Bread, Oil, & Vinegar: Wasn't super fond of this one. A ton of oil in a bowl made it hard to get the right oil-to-vinegar ratio. Chicken Pie: Deliciously breaded with super-tasty french fries too. Served piping hot, so it took a bit to be able to eat it without burning myself but a wait well-made. Reuben: Partner absolutely loved it and said the bread was the absolute perfect consistency. SO much meat in there too (though he said it could use a bit of extra dressing). Bubbles and Squeak: Delicious. Just delicious. Zero notes, you should eat it. Beanie Weenies: Home-made right in the restaurant! My favorite thing on the menu. Super savory, semi-healthy (beans...at least?), and served super warm. Comfort food at its finest. Menu in-restaurant was different than online one on a few things.
