For the first time in our lives we tried to Croatian red which is absolutely delicious!!! The chef made a charcuterie board (yummies from all local areas and farms) and the fact that it pleased my husband speaks volumes. (He is not a charcuterie man.) After only one visit, I can say this may be my favorite vineyard in the Georgia mountains. Unpretentious, yet still classy, it delivers exactly what you want in a winery, great wine, great views, great service. As a bonus it also has a great menu of casual food at very reasonable prices. They have flights available, but what I really appreciated is they let you sample before you buy. We chose the Viogneir, a grape I think really does well in Georgia, and it was delish. We also had their hummus and olive plate and a flatbread pizza, both were presented well and perfect. They have great outdoor seating very close to the vineyard, with a fantastic mountain backdrop. Service was fast and friendly and staff was very attentive to us our entire visit. Looking forward to returning soon!

Ordered a charcuterie board and was definitely disappointed. I've honestly never seen ritz crackers on a charcuterie board before. It did have some other type of crackers as well but not many. The cheeses were horrible. There was some sort of delicious pepper jam but nothing to dip/mix it with like goat cheese or even a brie. Fruit was quite old. Service was just dreadfully slow and inattentive. Plenty of servers working, not many customers, yet impossible to order something. Eventually we gave up, paid and left. Had to find somewhere else to eat. This might be a "locals only" place- perhaps the regulars get better service? We're new here but we will continue to explore other places.

Although the setting is admittedly spectacular, acres of hilly vineyards with views of the mountain behind, and the patio was certainly fancy, the tables each with fire pits in the center providing cheery warmth, the tasting experience itself was sub-par and overpriced. It lacked the authentic feel I've seen in other wineries and seems more of a tourist destination. First thing I noticed is the shockingly high tasting fee of $35 for a flight of 4 2-ounce pours of their choice. No substitutions allowed! Either these are some spectacularly great wines or this is a major rip-off. I passed. But since I was here I decided to have a glass. I got one of their estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon. It was around $16 but since I was here. It was good, but certainly not worth the $48 they charge for a bottle. For the $35 do you get individual attention, descriptions from the bartender about the wines and about their winery? No. You get 4 labeled glasses to take back to your table. Not worth it. Find another place less touristy, more authentic. That shouldn't be hard. There are like 65 wineries in the area!

Once you go up the stairs, you can see this is an upscale establishment. There's a nice bar area, piano playing and well around 10-15 tables. The interior is quite nice, though it's a bit bright inside for fine dining. We sat at the bar and had great service all night. Drinks were well made with quality ingredients. One strange thing... the kitchen is at the end of the bar and avail for all to see. While this is a positive, it's a bit small and I question how it'll scale if the restaurant was full. Of note, the dish cleaning area is next to the kitchen - also in the open and is a bit noisy. Not a huge deal, but worth a mention. To the food - we had 2 pasta dishes, the Carbonara and Pistachio pasta. The Carbonara was good, but the Pistachio dish was amazing. The menu did a poor job of explaining what's in the dish, but the staff was able to fill us in. It was a cream sauce with sautéed onions, prosciutto and crushed Pistachios. The flavor was fantastic. The wine list is pretty basic with few red options. This area needs some work. They should also allow a corkage fee to permit folks to bring higher end wine. The folks next to us had the Bruschetta and Lasagne and said both were great. Nice new addition to Murphy that will only keep getting better as they work out the kinks.
