    BlackBerry Cider

Fun concept!! We were there on Halloween night and it was very busy. My friend and I grabbed some snacks and drinks. The blackberry cider was delicious. My nachos were just like I make mine at home for what I like to call "Girl Dinner." We didn't play any games but will the next time we visit. If you are visiting from somewhere else there is a fabulous parking garage attached to this building which makes it super convenient to get too!

Just fun, why not try it. Beer and pinball, love it. Good location, in the middle of downtown Blue Ridge.

We turned a day trip into Blue Ridge to get some firewood into an overnight trip. We asked a server at the rooftop bar in our hotel where a good place to go was. She recommended the Blue Coyote. On our way over, we looked up, and to our delight, this place was in a space just above the bar we had intended to go to. I read a previous review where the person said it isn't family friendly. I think that it's very much supposed to be a bar with pinball (no one is trying to redeem tickets for cheap plastic toys at this place). Not really geared towards kids, and just expect to be the person with a "baby at the bar" if you bring them in. With that being said, I would totally bring my 9 year old son in, but he darn well better treat the equipment with respect! The beer selection was fun, the great mix of old and new machines was nostalgia itself, and the staff were welcoming and warm. I encourage all of the kids at heart to make a trip up to this area and visit!

This place is really cool. They cater to all ages and the staff is super friendly. They have a good range of craft beers and I told the bartender what I normally drink and she was spot on with her recommendation. They have open play and some great older pinball machines. I didn't try the food but the menu looked very well selected for the environment.

Great spot for a quick stop while in downtown Blue Ridge. They have plenty of arcade pinball games to play. You can pay $12 per hour or $20 per day to play. They also have beer/wine and food for those who don't want to play.

A must on my list of places to go to when we are in Blue Ridge. Great smash burgers, great beer and great games, don't miss it!

So much fun! We came back twice. Small menu but food is pretty good. $12 to play for an hour but they give you a little extra.

Fun place! Brings back lots of memories. Menu is limited but creative and really good. Set the high score on Galaga so that made my night.

We started with the shrimp and scallop fondue, which sounded so much better than it tasted, and the toasted bread it's served with was heavily salted and not enjoyable. My friends had the ribeye and said it was mediocre. I had the shrimp biscuit and only ate a few bites. The BBQ sauce was heavily salted and not pleasant, and the cheddar cheese just seemed like it didn't belong. As a cheese lover, this is the first time in over 60 decades that I've actually removed the cheese from a dish. I took the leftovers with me since I hate wasting food and ate the biscuit with some butter and the shrimp by themselves the next day. It still wasn't very good, but at least I didn't waste it. On the plus side, the cinnamon rolls were absolute delicious and were a bargain at $8 for six! They were the highlight of our meal. We also enjoyed the creme brûlée very much. Since the restaurant is pricey and so many of the dishes were a disappointment, we all agreed that we probably won't return to give it another try. We don't want to risk spending that much money again on a not-so-great meal.

Waitress was friendly and made it very clear not to touch her. She explained that she has an allergy to Mango Habanero sauce. Mango Habanero is one of the chicken wing sauces. We ended up having a conversation about allergies with the waitress. Their chicken wings are juicy and you get many sauces to choose from but my favorite meal was the Mahi Reuben Sandwich which was fantastic. Sweet, tangy and creamy so much better than corned beef. It did not taste fishy at all and the rye bread had the best buttery crisp edges. River Street Tavern is cozy, casual and it has a compact lay out. You get to relax and can have a conversation over a few beers and good food. Place gets busy but is not loud. Whether you're one of the locals or just passing by, leave your mark by pinning a dollar bill to the ceiling.

Love the dollar bill theme stapled on the ceiling and around every nook and cranny of the tavern. Love the support of local artists where masterpieces are displayed for sale. Our waitress was friendly but service was a little slow. Apparently she was allergic to the mango habanero wing flavors we ordered so only really saw her in the beginning and at the end of service. Food was good and the mahi Reuben is a must try as the unique combination actually works very well. Chicken and waffle was also good as the chicken was super crispy and tender and the bacon maple syrup hit the spot! Wings were crispy even when heavily sauced. Definitely will return for the Mahi Reuben!
