I'm not someone that goes bar hopping (anymore? maybe?) but when you are sitting in a town where everything closes at 5 or 7, sometimes you end up at a bar, especially if it is Karaoke night. There was a small crowd waiting for Karaoke, most people were locals. We got chatted up, got compliments, and free drinks. The DJ was pretty good, everyone was having fun. We ordered a Rueben, side salad, chili and chicken wings. All of these items exceeded my expectations. The side salad was larger than expected and the lettuce tasted fresh, not like a bagged lettuce. My husband and I shared the Rueben and the meat was amazingly tender. The sand which was so good! I ordered chili which was made in house and had a very rich flavor. I loved it! All the food served to us was so good and did not seem like the typical bar food. Our server, Kyley, was so sweet and helpful with the menu. There was a small misunderstanding with my order and she got it straightened out for me immediately. She was very efficient and a pleasure to interact with. Very sincere and helpful. I originally picked this place for my family and I to have a beautiful lunch. We were greeted with employees smoking outside untill opening time at 12. We should've turned around upon entrance as the first thing we smelled was old vomit and urine. This restaurant is definitely more of a bar than a restaurant for a nice lunch. We rolled in kind of late (8:15pm) into Blue Ridge and the restaurants that were open were not seating any more guests. The nice waitress at Masseria told us to try The Blue Coyote. We went and they were opened late and sat us right away. Our waitress was very nice and got our order right away. We got Wings and a Turkey Club sandwich and split them. The food was good and we would visit again next time we are in the Blue Ridge area. The prices were reasonable. read more

The place is dated and feels nasty. Can't comment on the food because it never came after 1 hour of sitting. My party decided to leave when we were told it would take another 15-20 minutes for our burgers. GM said "unfortunately these things happen sometimes" which tells me that this was not the first time which makes it even worse. I'm giving it 1 star because I'm required to do so. 3.5 stars Ok. So been here several times over the years, but gave up on them after a few not so great meals. Fast forward to today.......we came to Blue Ridge to get lunch. The restaurant we wanted to go to was closed and we wanted a lunch cocktail. We somewhat reluctantly chose Blue Coyote. The lady ordered a Cosmo and I ordered a Double Jack OTR. The lady was not impressed with her cosmo as it clearly lacked a decent pour of alcohol. My double came out as a single and I asked if it was a double. She came back with a second one apologizing for the mistake. Nice recovery on their part, but that didn't fix the poor pour on the cosmo. At $9.50 for the cosmo, they could afford to add another 1/2 shot of booze. A good pour would have lead to a second cocktail for the lady. The lady ordered the pot stickers and I ordered the Coyote burger. Both were very good and my burger was cooked perfectly to medium rare......tasty and juicy. The burger came with fries which were also very good. Service was very good and the food arrived within a short time of ordering. In short, we won't be reluctant to return, but I just might have to say something about a proper pour for the cosmo. read more
