Hello Pink Pig People said this was the best B.B.Q. around Blue Ridge Ga. so we tryed two othe rplaces in Blue Ridge and they were edible that's all. So we waited for family to come in to town so we could eat at the P.P. and no way never again. Fries were cooked in the morning stiff and cold all 5 plates. The pulled pork was like bubble gum in your mouth. The mac and cheese was not as good as velvetta store bought brand. The chicken was as dry as if it was still being dry aged. The bill was not even itemized so we had them fix that. The waitress vanished into we don't know what. If the reviews are good its because of people who have not eaten in cities that have great food. The worst ever!!! read more

I ordered the brisket plate and it was all old burnt ends. The baked beans had no flavor and was right out of the can just heated up. The bread roll was a plain small store bought one not even heated up. The sweet potato fries were tasty but burnt. Service was just so so. One member of our party had to ask twice to get a water re-fill. Will never be back.... read more

Delicious food with great service and decent prices. They are known for their bar-be-que (which is the best in Gilmer County) but their fried chicken or Hamburger Steak is awesome as well. It's family run and the atmosphere is just as you would expect. I recommend it to anyone that's going to be in the area. This place is just plain fantastic! read more

Excellent BBQ at reasonable prices. The staff is very friendly and attentive too. We will be returning.

Great service and nice laid back locals, but the food just wasn't very good. No smoke flavor to the meat whatsoever, and quite dry.

The restaurant is cute but the barbecue was not impressive. The pork was dry and the mac 'n' cheese was bland. The brisket is definitely better than the pork, but nothing to write home about. However, there are some outdoor picnic tables that are nice for diners with dogs. read more

Nope. I will not recommend this place. Tried it once, it was bad. Food poor quality overpriced and building was old and dirty looking. About 3 years later, it was looking like they fixed up the building, so we tried it again. Big mistake!!! It was worse. The only thing they fixed was the outside of the building. read more

Horrible. The BBQ was dry and the Brunswick stew tasted like onions.

Pink Pig is a gem. The food is so good, friendly staff, fun environment, family dining room style, cozy tables. We have tried so much bbq and thought we had tried the best in Dallas at "Hard8 BBQ". That changed after this place!! I am a bbq fan and love smoking my own recipes. The head chef "Alice" came out to say hello after she had heard I am an "at home chef" and took the time to speak to me and give me a kitchen tour!! We walked away with some food for the road and will always remember the staff & food during our experience. You MUST try this place. It's the best bbq in blue ridge! read more

Great Carolina BBQ! The food was excellent, as tender and fall off the bone as BBQ could be and the sauce was very good vinegar based BBQ. The small mountain town feel is great and the service was excellent, my glass of sweet tea was never more than half empty. I will go back on my next vacation to this area. read more

My family enjoyed a wonderful meal at the Pink Pig. The food and service was great and the establishment was clean. They have the best sweet potato fries! read more

My wife and I each had the large brisket sandwich which tasted as if it was overcooked in an oven and was NOT SMOKED and tasteless. The Brunswick stew was slightly vinegary with shoe peg corn. The staff was friendly and attentive, although the hostess did have a toothpick in her mouth. The senior citizen locals seem to love it, but that is not saying much. I make better Brunswick stew at home !!!! read more

Stopped at this little BBQ place after a hike. I am not a big BBQ fan, but my husband is, so we decided to try this place out. The service was great. It is just how you would imagine Southern hospitality. I read all of the great reviews about the garlic salad, so I thought I would try it with pork BBQ on top. The BBQ was quite good. The garlic salad is iceberg lettuce swimming in vinegar which is fine, if you love vinegar. I do not. I wish that any of the reviews about it would have mentioned that. So, here is an FYI, if you don't like vinegar skip the garlic salad (which should really be called vinegar salad). I ate the bbq off of my vinegar salad and left the lettuce swimming happily in the pool of garlic vinegar. The server asked if I wanted a to-go box for the salad. I told her no and she asked if I didn't like it. I told her that nothing was wrong with it, that I just did not realize it was in so much vinegar. She offered to take the salad off of our bill, but I declined the offer since I had eaten and enjoyed the bbq. She insisted and said she would just take off the salad and charge for the BBQ. Great customer service. Definitely a place we would go to again when we are in the area and want BBQ. read more

My husband and I just moved to Jasper and we were out exploring all the BBQ places near the area and Pink pig was definitely our least favorite. Food was bad. The brisket and pulled pork seemed to be reheated. It was chewy and dry. Burnswick stew tasted like water and the Mac and cheese was very very blend. Super disappointed!! read more

Very disappointing experience. We read many great reviews of this place and we were excited to try it because we wanted some good Barbeque and we figured north Georgia would have some great places. Most places were closed on Thursday's so we were excited that the pink pig wasn't. The restaurant itself was quaint and had cute decorations. However, the experience we had was less than thrilling. The service was not the best as we waited a while for someone to take our order or even greet us, and we waited a long time for the check when we were finished eating. However I will note that our server was very nice, as were all the staff we encountered. The food however was the biggest disappointment. I got pulled pork and brisket and both were very dry and tough to eat. My mom got the chicken and dumplings and was extremely disappointed as it had only a few strands of chicken and the "broth" looked like water. My dad also noted that his ribs were bland and only had flavor when drenched with sauce(the sauces were good though). The only person who thoroughly enjoyed their meal was my sister who got a pulled pork sandwich, so I guess the bun made the pork less dry. The sides were alright; the fries were undercooked, the baked beans were not good, and the Mac n cheese was just okay. Overall the experience wasn't the best but maybe we just visited on a bad night. read more

for the north georgia mountains, this is great. for anywhere else, its just ok. this bbq joint lacks my favorite element of a great bbq place- that smoky meat smell. makes you wonder how the bbq is cooked... but not too bad if you are looking for a local place. read more

Horrible. Had the brisket that was dried out and tough. Would never go back. If you're in that area go to Jim's smoking que outside of Blairsville for great bbq. read more

We went here mainly to try the garlic salad. I was slightly disappointed. The flavor of the salad was good but the dressing was watery and left the salad wilted and soggy. We got it to go so maybe is we had eaten there it would have been different. With that being said the barbeque was good. I had combo pork and brisket. Bothe were really good. Mac and cheese side was mediocre, kind of bland. Sweet potatoes fries were good. read more

Solid as always. Friendly staff, good service. Food is good, meat is not overly smokey. Decent variety but the overwhelming draw is the pork. Garlic salad is great, but definitely not for everyone. Restaurant is always clean and service is typically fast. read more

I have to agree with Chris H here. I am from Charleston, SC and we have some great bbq here. This place was complete garbage. There so called home made sauce came straight from a big plastic Cattlemans bottle. The green beans were straight out of a can and bland. The mac and cheese was inedible and had a strong taste of mold, not blue cheese taste but like it was weeks old. As for the bbq it was so dry our table of 6 used the entire bottle of bad bbq sauce. The sweet potato fries came from a bag of Ore Ida frozen sp fries. I wouldnt typically go out of my way to write a bad review but this may of been one of the worst meals I can remember. Dont be fooled by the cute name that may suggest a good local bbq spot. You may be better off in Blue Ridge by trying one of the many restaurants that are simply named RESTAURANT. Im willing to bet it would be better than this garbage. read more

Charming little joint off the beaten path between Ellijay and Blue Ridge, GA, with good service. The pork was delicious and had that nice smoked flavor. Personally, I judge BBQ by the taste without the sauce. I did not need sauce, although I had a taste of their sweet sauce and vinegar sauce. I'm more of a fan of BBQ pork without sauce. The baked sweet potato came with a side of butter and a side of cinnamon sugar. It was the best, most tender sweet potato I've ever tasted (even the skin was very tender). I didn't use much cinnamon sugar, because the sweet potato was so very tasty without it. The "World Famous" garlic salad was a bowl of iceberg lettuce with microscopic bits of carrots that were soaked in a mild garlic vinegar dressing. It tasted like Italian dressing without the tang. I tried the small garlic salad because it was "World Famous". I won't be trying it again. It was nothing to write home about and I'm not sure what's all the rave. The peanut butter pie was store bought. Don't order it. I did not try the cobbler or banana pudding, because I'm not a cobbler or banana pudding fan. Would I go back? Well, maybe. read more

WOW! keep all you Atlanta/Chattanooga hipster doofus BBQ joints...this is the real deal! Great food and the young staff have been properly trained in their craft. This is a DESTINATION restaurant, not a just happen to be there place. The chopped brisket was almost all burnt ends (The best part) and perfect. Get there early, cause it fills up fast. If you fancy yourself a foodie then get in your car, and drive fast to the Pink Pig!! read more

Not sure what happen with the family from N.C. I took my family of six we were all well please. I had ribs they were very good. I was taken by the fried green tomatoe's. They were the best I 've ever had. Lakeland Fl. read more

I live in Cherry Log and have been to many restaurants in the Blue Ridge/Ellijay and Jasper area. To be honest, most of them have just passing food (or not even passing). The barbeque here is really awesome, the best I have ever had (and I'm from Texas where BBQ is a staple). I would highly recommend it. The atmosphere is rustic and quaint, a very cute place to visit with the added benefit of phenomenal BBQ. read more

Love the Pink Pig! My wife and I have been visiting every time we are in Blue Ridge. Service is great and prompt! Food is classic southern BBQ. I highly recommend the beef brisket, garlic salad and peanut butter pie! Only downfall is they don't serve beer. read more

We were hoping this would be great BBQ as advertised but were extremely disappointed. Ribs were tender but because they were boiled to death, and all other meats we ordered were tough and bland. Brunswick stew was also not good. On a positive note, the restrooms were very clean. Won't be revisiting this establishment. read more

Honestly I can't rate this place b/c quite frankly it was terrible, the BBQ was dry, the sauce, don't get me started, the Mac n cheese was so bad I could only eat one bite. Arriving it seemed this place was going to be good, you walk in to a cozy little place, they take your drink order, sweet tea is what our group went with, it was good, then came the food. The only reason we ate it was because we hadn't eatin all day. We used all the sauce, which also was horrible b/c the pork was extremely dry. I don't recommend this place!!!! read more

We visited the PP on Sunday night over Labor Day weekend. We were very happy to find some good local food options while on our trip to the Elijay area. We called ahead since we were a party of 7 and had three kids. They had a table waiting for us despite the fact that the place was completely full. The place is cozy and comfortable in the dining room even if the entry area may be a little overly filled with PP merchandise. Everyone enjoyed their meals and were very complimentary. The ribs were smokey and tender. I barely used any sauce because the flavor was so good. I tried both the vinegar and sweet varieties of their sauce. Both were good. The sweet is almost too sweet for my taste, almost, but was still good. Others at the table had the brisket, the pork, and the chicken. And it all got good reviews. The green beans were excellent, the Brunswick stew was great, the fries were good, the Mac and cheese was just average. The staff was courteous and our server was very friendly and attentive to our table throughout the meal, which is saying something when you have three kids under 5. We look forward to going back next time we get back up there. BTW, the peanut butter pie is great too read more

RIP OFF - they charge for water!!!! I have travelled all over the county/world, and this hole in the wall has the nerve to charge for a glass of water, yes it was listed on the menu, but when we ordered immediately after sitting down, we were not advised. The total on our bill was $.77 higher than we expected, & when questioned amount we were advised "oh that was for the water" EXTREMELY POOR BUSINESS! WILL NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN AND WILL POST ANYWHERE WE CAN!!! When you travel on a limited budget even an extra dollar is not cool. read more

My husband and I took a vacation this past weekend in Cherry Log and this place was recommended so we tried it. Food was served cold, meat was very dry, macaroni and cheese was gritty. Very disappointed read more

Tried twice. First time it was average to above second was bad. Though it was late in the dinner rush the BBQ chicken was very very dry. Several orders could not be eaten. Ribs too dry the first time so I am thinking it is a chef thing. Very friendly people but nothing stands out about the food that is amazing. With as many BBQ places in the mountains they need to step up the game! Convenient to CherryLog but I would drive a long ways for excellent BBQ. This is not it. read more

We drive by their sign on the interstate at least once a month on our way to our cabin and we finally decided to try it. We ordered a variety of meats - ribs, brisket, and chicken - and four different side dishes - bbq beans, fries, mac n' cheese, and green beans. The brisket and chicken are chopped, not my favorite but it is what it is. The brisket was a disappointment, did not taste smoked, and it was just barely ok. The chicken on the other hand was smoked! And the ribs were my favorite. The fries were excellent, the bbq beans had the same sauce that they offered on the table (only one sweet sauce and another on is a vinegar based sauce),and last but not least, my favorite side, mac n' cheese should be a must. Did not try the desserts because we were too full. Will I come back? Yes. But my favorite BBQ joint in that area is Bigun's for their ribs and chicken (again Biguns' brisket is ok sometimes). read more
