Chilly Willy Dog
Craig G.

I visited on a sunny Tuesday evening just after 5PM and was immediately seated. The dining room is considerably larger than their Ringgold location and they have both tables and booths. A waitress was quick to greet me and took both my drink and food order. Both arrived in a timely manner. I had the Downtown BLT (and they accommodated my request to substitute the Kaiser bun with the croissant) with a side of fries. The sandwich ingredients were quality, but (and this is just my personal taste), they didn't synergize the way I expected. The fried green tomatoes had an excellent coating and perfectly cooked and the bacon was nice and crispy, I liked the sauce on they used, and the croissant was nice and soft. The fries were a bit under cooked and limp and dense instead of light and crispy. I also had the Chilly Willy Dog and the footlong was tasty except for the bun which was dry.

We stopped in for lunch and had a great experience. There are both tables and booths, and the atmosphere was comfortable. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. We split the platter, which was a generous portion -- plenty of food with leftovers to take home! Everything tasted good, though I wasn't a big fan of the cheesecake since it had a bit of a frozen taste. There's plenty of parking, and the location is convenient, just near downtown Calhoun.

The food and service is 100 plus stars got to check them out Calhoun or Ringgold ga

The other half of my sandwich. 1 side filled me up and the rest I took home with me. Those fried green tomatoes were the bomb.

As always the food was outstanding. The Brunswick stew was watered down and didn't have a lot of flavor. But plenty of food.

Food was really good. They are always busy so don't be dissapointed if you don't get served very quickly. It's worth the wait.

I sat inside where there was table, bar, and highboy seating. I ordered the Smoked & Fried Wings buffalo, with upcharge for flats/drums and an extra sauce (one Ranch and one Bleu Cheese). And the Shorty Johnson, which is a pair of deep fried back-wrapped beef dogs with a side of fries. The wings were scrawny without much meat. But the flavors were great and the smokiness came through. And the buffalo seasoning was nice and the flats were tender. The Blue cheese dipping sauce was chunky and had a good flavor. The Ranch dipping sauce was boring and did not have the punchy flavor of a hand made dressing. The carrot and celery were adequate. The hot dog was properly cooked and drained and the bacon wrapping had a good texture. But there was no bacon flavor, although the flavor of the dog itself was good. The bun was dry and flavorless. The side of fries were cooked perfectly and nicely seasoned and a good portion. Service was barely adequate. They delivered the wings but did not provide any napkins and I had to wait for them to pass by and get their attention to request them. My drink refill was also a bit slow in coming.

Well, I finally made my way to the viral Buc-ee's…read more Everything you heard about this place... Is most likely true....( well at least the good things) A teenage tik tok dream When i visited this store on a Friday morning And Sunday afternoon It was like Black Friday in summer Kids everywhere completely packed The noise level was so loud i couldn't even hear my friend standing next to me The bathroom was immaculate Not sure how they keep up With the high volume of people using it I got a brisket sandwich It was ok Not the best, not the worst The cookies were good The peanut butter flavored one stood out to me Customer service Especially when you consider How many people the employees deal with in 24hrs I believe buc-ee's should be experienced by everyone It reminded me of times when people used to go to malls When everyone was outside Buc-ee's is more than just stepping into a store It's a complete experience

Buc-ee's is more than a gas station... it's an experience! This one sits a little past halfway on the Nashville-to-Atlanta drive, so a lot of us hit it often, and that's my main gripe: it is way, way too crowded. Almost every visit, even off-peak, there's traffic just getting off the highway and into the lot. They don't manage it well for a lot this size, and it always feels like you're one distracted driver away from a fender bender. Parking is tough, sometimes requiring circling around or parking far away. I come here mostly for the clean bathrooms, so having to wait in line for the women's restroom on two recent visits felt outrageous given there must be fifty stalls in there. Inside, weird and tasty snacks galore. Everyone says get the brisket and jerky, but insiders know the breakfast burritos are the true star, fresh-made flour tortillas and all. The highlight of my last stop was dill pickle sour straws, handed out as samples, excellent. The sugar-roasted candied pecans look tempting but are rarely actually fresh and warm at this location, which is frustrating. Then there's a warehouse-worth of home goods, clothing, house supplies, and anything you can print a Bucc-ee on. The t-shirts are my favorite, absurdly soft, my fave for sleeping in. This spot is ultimately still a classic Buc-ee's experience. But the crowds and the traffic and the general hassle make me think twice about stopping. Gas here is cheap, though not the cheapest on the route.
