This was my first time here and it was on the day where proceeds went to the staff for a Christmas bonus. It was of course incredibly busy but it was worth the wait. All food is cooked to order and delicious! We had 2 double cheeseburgers with tater tots. The burgers are HUGE and the tots were perfectly cooked. We will definitely be back. There is a rather small inside seating area with a restroom for sit down eating but most of us were ordering outside and to go. There is also a drive thru

Outstanding little drive-in. This place is pretty popular with the locals and there aren't many tables so either plan on getting take out or get there early (11, 11:30 am). You may even have to share your table if you are by yourself (like I was) sitting at a booth. I got a hot dog with chili, cheeseburger and tater tots. Their tater tots were of the "crispy crown/Chick Fil-A" variety, not the barrel shaped ones. The tater tots were good, actually better than they looked, but were undercooked to my liking (I like them crispy). I'll just specify that next time I order there. So while I was disappointed somewhat by the tater tots, the hot dog and more importantly, the cheeseburger were very good. They hand-form the patties for the burgers - they aren't the frozen, pre-formed discs you get at a lot of drive-ins and fast food places these days. They offer breakfast as well and I hope to be passing through sometime in the morning so I can try their biscuits. They aren't a quick trip off the interstate but they aren't that far either. Definitely worth driving ten minutes or so extra to avoid the typical garbage fast food options at the exit. They also don't take credit or debit cards.

My daughter and I had the incredible hamburger with fries, and peach cobbler. The sweet ice tea was delicious. Wait staff was terrific.

Need to find better fitting lids for your styrofoam cups. Almost wore my drink today as lid came off much too easily.

Old-school, fresh, well-seasoned, hand pattied burgers and butter-smooth milkshakes. Been around since 1962.

Myself and 3 others spent a couple nights at the lodge for a ladies weekend. Check in was easy and…read morethe front desk staff was friendly. When we arrived to our room the first thing I noticed was the view! We were on the ground level, so we had a nice sitting area just outside the room. Although it was too cold to sit outside, the view from inside was just as nice. Once I started looking around at the room I noticed how outdated and in need of deep cleaning it was. The carpet was stained, our bedding was stained, the wallpaper was peeling off, dirt and grime had gathered in the corners, and there was toothpaste or cleaning spray all over the bathroom mirror and sink. My side of the bed was caving in, so when I laid on my left side I rolled a bit, which makes me think maybe the mattresses need to be replaced. I will say, the pillows were comfy! That evening we ate at the restaurant where we ordered off the menu. I ordered The Falls Burger, which is your basic cheeseburger with the usual toppings - lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles, and your choice of cheese. The burger tasted like it was previously frozen, but the fries were delicious! Our waitress, McKenzie, was incredible! She was attentive and friendly and deserves recognition! We ended up back at the lodge restaurant the following evening where they were serving a buffet dinner only, no option to order off the menu. McKenzie was great once again, but unfortunately, the food was not. The buffet consisted of soup, salad, mac-n-cheese, rolls, yellow rice, black eyed peas, BBQ chicken, catfish, carrot cake, pumpkin pie, and apple pie. All of the items I ate were cold and just mediocre. You can imagine my surprise when I saw the $46 bill - $27.99 for an adult and $15.99 for a child. Absurd for the lack of options and for the cold food. (Keep in mind that the closest towns with good dining options are at least 30 mins away.) During nice weather the falls are gorgeous to hike up to and the park is fun to explore, but take note if you have children with you and the weather isn't great, there's not much for them to do. The park itself is beautiful and well worth a trip! And I truly believe the lodge could be brought back to life with a few changes.

The menu is full of classic, comfort style dishes that will make you feel at home. Or server was a true southern belle with all the charm and kindness you would expect. I had a burger and it was delicious. This thing was MASSIVE and cooked to a perfect medium well as I had requested. The fries were also pretty good. They could have used a bit more seasoning but there was salt on the table!

This is a Southern Restaurant in a southern town. So I opted for a Shepherd's Pie from the St Paddy's Day menu. Yeah, go figure. It was rather bland. When I make this dish, I use ample cream in the potatoes (Irish style) and make a thicker, more moist pie, with a good deal of tomato in it. This was a bland substitute. Far better the next day when I added in enough butter to make the potatoes shine. I will give props for using lamb on this. She had the salmon patties. Fairly simple, also rather bland. Mashed potatoes as well. Breading on the okra was fine. Staff? Very friendly waiter. Answered all the questions and even described the drinks. As this has a good craft beer selection, I opted for one I had not had before and she got a smokey old fashioned. The old fasthioned did not have the cherries or orange peel you would normally see, but was rather strong and did use a rye whiskey. I would not go there for the drink, but reasonably priced. The ambiance is great. Typical of Rome, GA establishments, you can feel the history. They also have a rooftop bar and a separate bar area, for those seeking out a drink or two. Summary: The experience was good, but the food was bland. If you like to heavily salt your food, this might not be as big of a deal. On the whole, 3 stars, for average. Compared to other places in Rome, some of which are really bad, you would prefer this to many places. Nothing really bad to say, but nothing really good. Just average.

One time my parents and I came here after dinner for their gelato, and it was so delicious. We were all very impressed with the consistency and how smooth it was. So I've only had their gelato after all these years. This time I came for brunch with a friend on Sunday morning. It was packed and we got on the waiting list for a table. Wait time wasn't too bad actually. My friend and I both ordered the Hodgepodge Hash and I subbed the sausage for chicken sausage. Everything was absolutely amazing. I wish I had come here sooner. I loved everything about my meal. It was flavorful, dynamic, full of texture. It had that spice from the serrano peppers, crispy and flavorful potatoes, and the sauce tied it all together. I love savory breakfast, and that was it. Now I'm hungry and missing my previous meal just writing about it haha. Afterwards, we got gelato! I was pleasantly surprised that the gelato came with two scoops because I originally just wanted the coffee flavored one. So I had a scoop of Coffee + Cream and Pistachio. Our gelato was so tasty. I love anything coffee so this one was good, and the Pistachio one was nice and light. It had a subtle Pistachio creamy taste. Just as before, the gelato was smooth, creamy, and full of flavor. Service was great, our waiter was very friendly and super helpful with our food preferences. I have no complaints at all about our experience, and I love every single thing we ordered. I can't imagine a better place to spend Sunday brunch. I look forward to the next time I'm back, thank you!
