Some of the best freshest food around here restaurant is clean. Their bathrooms are on the outside of the building, but still cleaner than most inside restaurants definitely family ambience and the service is always top-notch delivering your food correctly and will smile we always make a point to stop by here when we head through town. read more

Call me nostalgic, but I grew up eating the Big V before all the fast food chains opened up in Chatsworth. If you're passing through, do yourself a favor and stop here instead of choosing the golden arches. If it's like it used to be, this is a cash only establishment, which is hard for some these days, but this is a local owned place that keeps it simple. I always get the hotdog with slaw, mustard and onions and tots. The burgers are great too. The people here also couldn't be nicer and the prices are fair. read more

The Good: Friendly staff The Bad: a bizarre looking building on the outside. The parking is problematic and pulling out on the highway is simply dangerous. The Mediocre: The food. The burgers are actually quite good, but the rest of the menu ranges from mediocre to simply bad. The shakes taste simply artificial. Their slaw has plastic taste. Their hot dogs taste like sawdust. I think they must use the cheapest and lowest quality food. As I said, the burgers are good, so if you want a burger, then Big V isn't a bad choice for you. Good local spot with greasy (but delicious) burgers, fries, and shakes. Better burgers than your regular fast food joint. They offer regular fries, seasoned fries, and onion rings to complement your sandwich choice. I went for the seasoned fries, where the seasoning is "baked in," or at least that's what they told me. They were all right, but still needed to salt for more taste. They also have about 6 milkshake flavors, but I went for one of the regulars: strawberry. Unfortunately, I wasn't too happy with it. It didn't quite taste like strawberry, and for a while I thought they may have gotten my order wrong and gave me cherry instead. Later, I came to the conclusion that it's because they use frozen yogurt/soft serve to make their shakes. I'm definitely not a fan of frozen yogurt/soft serve, which probably explains why I didn't like the milkshake. I could taste the difference and how it was less creamy, almost watery-tasting, than others I've had. I really liked the burger, so I would suggest just going to Big V for that and supporting the local restaurants. read more

I just happened to be passing through Chatsworth and decided to stop at Big V based on other Yelp reviews and the fact that I had an insane craving for a cheeseburger. I love going to a non-chain burger joint and Big V did not let me down. I ordered the Big V cheeseburger, fries, and drink. The burger was juicy, flavorful, and came with just the right amount of onion, pickles, etc. They even toasted the bun. The fries were of the frozen variety but cooked perfectly and served hot. The lady at the counter was friendly and delivered the food to my table quickly. My only complaint, and it's only a slight one, is that I thought the order of fries was a little on the small side. Good food + friendly service + clean digs = 5 stars! read more

Big V is nothing fancy, but the restaurant has a good, filling, home-style burger. The burger is big and juicy. The french fries are just crinkle-cut fries, as you'd buy frozen and make at home. The dining area is small and the decor is very plain. This is a local favorite and has been around for at least forty years. Important to know: "CASH ONLY!" Big V does not take credit cards at all!
