Ate there for the 1st (and last) time today. Service and server was great. I've eaten Mexican dishes from the deepest parts of Mexico ($2) on mission trips, and the most prosperous parts of America ($200). This was the worst I've ever had! 2-3 bites and I was done. Excellent food! We had the option of ordering from their express area or off the menu. We decided to try the menu, assuming it wouldn't take much longer than the express. It did. Service was slow, even though there were only a handful of customers and the servers seemed more interested in chatting with each other than checking on customers. However, the food, when it did come out (about 30 mins) was exceptional. The bottle of salsa served with the chips tasted homemade and was really good. We had the chicken Gorditas for our meals. The chicken was well seasoned and in small pieces, not shredded, canned chicken like some places serve. It was a big serving of food, as well. I would definitely be back...just don't order from the menu if you are in a hurry. It's worth the wait, though. read more

I was in town visiting my sister when I came here for some lunch. It's a fast casual place where you line up while they prepare it in front of you while you choose ingredients then you pay and sit down. I had a beeff taco bowl that was a pretty generous size. My husband and i were new to the area and this place came up frequently. Huge Mexican food lovers over here and i can say its good. I won't rate it as my favorite to be realistic but if you have a craving for Mexican tacos this spot isn't a bad choice. We were passing through Calhoun on a trip and looking for places to eat. Yelp had this toward the top of the list and tacos/Mexican sounded like a good lunch option for us that day. Chips came to the table right away. We loved the salsa and queso (the kids enjoyed the queso too)! We opted to do the fast lane and ordered tacos. I had two steak and one chicken with toppings. We got the kids a quesadilla, rice and black beans. The serve margaritas-no frills style- just on the rocks, lime flavor and salted rim. Great companion with the tacos and chips. Everyone was happy with the meal and selection of this place to eat. We would go back again if we're ever in town. read more

I love this place! It is my favorite spot to eat in Calhoun. The quality and taste of the food is fresh and delicious. The prices are fair and you get a large amount of food for the price. The staff has always been friendly. They serve alcohol for those who drink, but also have sodas. There is plenty of parking. You can walk in and order your food, then go sit at a table for a server to greet you or order from the table. There are small tables or large ones for groups. The tortillas and salsa was really good and delicious. The burrito bowl was good, but not the best. The limes were super fresh though and brought great flavor to the bowl. Also filled me up halfway through finishing which is a plus! The service here was super good, as the workers are really friendly. The place is super well designed and super nice to be in. The food tastes great! The tofu is seasoned well and the other food items are fresh and flavored well. I've been here many times and I appreciate consistency in the food always being good. I especially love the option of ordering at the food bar which makes it for a quick and easy way to receive your food. It's also nice to know what goes into your plate and how much. I got the three taco meal - one chicken, one beef & one steak - all with rice, black beans, lettuce, salsa, cheese, and cheese dip. The meat had tons of flavor and all clearly fresh. Spent $12 total. They have a menu, but I can't recall ever looking at it. My advice: Get in line at the "pick your Mexican meal" bar. Want a burrito? Tell the friendly servers exactly what you want on it, picking from a greatest hits of meats, cheeses, veggies, and salsas. Want that in a bowl, on tacos, or (I suppose) in a large cup with a lid? Just ask and ye shall receive. It's quick, and so good nobody has to yell "Welcome to Joes!", or Flo's, or Toe's, or whatever that chain place is called... In a town crowded with Ameri-Mex restaurants, this is a go-to and consistently good. The hot salsa is legit, if you'll simply request it and have taken your antacid that day. read more

The FAST LANE is their strong suit, with lots of options and everything built fresh and tasty. My wife got the bowl and the portions were generous and she enjoyed her meal, while I had the gorditas. We started with chips, salsa, and queso and liked the flavors (although the chips were a bit stale). Service was friendly and attentive and refills were prompt. This place is absolute amazing!!! I loved all of their food. My family and I live 30 minutes away and have eaten here 5 times in the last month! You can choose every topping from their fast lane. There are over 20 different toppings and everyone is delicious. You can get a side of rice for free anytime and their service is excellent. I recommend to 100% and definitely try out this place if you are even 20 minutes away because it is definitely worth it. If I ever come up again, I will come back. read more

Amazing find on a recent short drive to the area. If you love Mexican Food or Tex-Mex then you need to find this place. The service was amazing, the staff could not have been nicer. Can't wait to come back soon. Worth every minute of the 45 minute drive. As fresh as any I have ever had. I would describe this place as simple, straight forward with literally amazing food. Recently started working near Calhoun and have been checking out the local restaurants for lunch. Nondescript little place with weird parking but the food and service are really good. These guys make it easy to throw together a vegetarian meal. I have been grabbing a bowl with all the veggies and black beans. They even have tofu, didn't expect that. They also have a little side of guacamole you can ask for but it isn't on the main assembly line. The bowls don't have too much kick so I generally throw some salsa on. Went on a Tuesday afternoon on Thanksgiving week around 2 PM and the restaurant was fairly crowded to my surprise! The waitress brought over chips and salsa once we sat down, and both salsas were fantastic! I ordered three different tacos, all traditional with cilantro and onions, but with chicken, shrimp, and steak. All three were very good, but the shrimp I thought was exceptional! My family and I love this place! We eat here about 2 times a month. The staff is always friendly and the owner usually comes out to say hello to us. The food is always fresh and several things can be ordered in line and made right in front of you. Of course, you could sit down and order like normal if you prefer. The chicken quesadilla is wonderful, and if you prefer vegetarian they always have tofu options. If you leave a review on Facebook, they will give you a free order of queso. For those that been to Willys in Atlanta will find this local place very similar. A more authentic Mexican than Moes and the price is very good for the portion size you get. I got the burrito made in fast lane, which is a must option to save mega bucks. All ingredients very fresh. The cantina bowls are good size also and salsa here is just enough heat with plenty of cilantro. Meals here are like $6 and you will leave full and happy. read more

Loved the fact there was a taco place i could get tofu tacos, but after my experience on Wednesday I won't be back. I had the unfortunate experience of being seated at "Vickky's table". Eating hot sauce I got thirsty and went looking for my server who was hanging out playing making jokes and small talk behind the bar. I politely ask for a refill on the drinks, tea, coke dr. pepper and water I was paying for when she snapped back "your not the only one in the restaurant". there was 3 other tables because lunch was over and dinner had not started yet. She came bringing one drink out for a table of 4 that needed refills and slammed it down on the table almost splashing it all over her tables. Then the same for the next 3 of my family members. This is my absolute favorite place in Calhoun, and I try to eat here at least once a week if not more. They have a pretty standard menu (which is fine to order from, you won't go wrong), but the "fast lane" is the WAY-TO-GO! At the "fast lane", you can order a burrito bowl, 3x Tacos, or Nachos. You top them with your favorite sauces, veggies, and fixings. Thats it! When you bite into one of these tacos, you'll know that you made the right choice an fall in love! I really enjoy this place. The food is always fresh. And the employees are quick and helpful. You can sit down or order from the food bar to go. I love their steak corn tacos. The beans are good, but I'm not a fan of the rice. I wish their cheese sauce wasn't so salty. I'm not usually into salsas, but their salsa is fantastic. Very tomato-y with just a hint of spicy. My dad always gets the taco salad bowl and he always has leftovers it's so big. Great prices for quality food. So if you are super hungry yes it's quick. If you want to sit down it can be good too. But beware the servers are vendictive and possibly poisoned us. We came in for a quick lunch. We walk though the server line and when the ladies at if we wanted to go boxes we said yes. Then we sat down with our meal. I went here for a quick meal and was very impressed with how fast the food was ready. It's almost like a more authentic chipotle. I got 3 tacos and the portions are very big. I preferred the chicken and thought the steak was too salty. I tried the steak in one of the burrito bowls and it didn't taste as salty (masked by the other flavors).
