Wow! Hole on the wall spot in Chatsworth is killing it. I've only been here once, but they just served me some of the best tacos I've ever had. Next time I'm up this way I'm coming here. I want to try some other things on the menu. I ordered 3 Carne asada tacos with cilantro and onion. I wished I would've asked for another lime, but it was amazing without it. I love the one in Chatsworth so when this one opened across from my work I was excited. I love the authenticity of the food and how great everything tastes there but my wife isn't a fan of most vegetables or anything, I always order her plain food. Meat and cheese normally but this location consistently fails to pay attention to the tickets even when they are rang up the correct way and I always have to wait on my food twice because it needs to be remade every time. We have been looking for tacos de cabeza since we moved here from Washington state and have yet to come across a place that has them. We walk into Taco Roble today which happens to be my favorite taco place and lo and behold a sign that says for today tacos de cabeza. We order 8 total tacos and let me tell you they were even better than I could have expected. Cooked to perfection and the seasoning was on point. My only wish would be that they have them more often. I will still always go there for the most authentic tacos I have ever eaten but today was a wonderful surprise and we will be talking about those tacos for months to come. Very authentic food and very, very good! Best Mex in the Dalton / Chatsworth area. Steak and chicken tacos (with Cilantro) were delicious. Refried beans are made with white beans instead of pintos. Tortillas are handmade. Self serve salsa bar has 5 different options. A welcome upgrade from the so-called "authentic" restaurants on every corner. Staff is very friendly as well. Dammmmm! This place is bomb. I can't cuss in here but I gotta say, this MF place is delicious AF! Taco Roble far exceeded my expectations. Being born and raised in California, 100% Chicano, a memory bank of authentic taquerias around almost every corner and having come from a family of amazing cooks, I walked into this place very skeptical. My bad...this place floored me. I should've noticed that just about every Mexicano in this part of Georgia was having lunch there (including a healthy splattering of other walks of life). I ordered a chile relleno burrito with Rice, Beans, pico de gallo, and crema mexicana. You won't be disappointed. God rest her soul, my abuelita Corina might have some competition on how ridiculously delicious that chile relleno was. I can go on and on....it was that good. I'll be leaving here with mixed emotions. On one hand I'm glad I stopped (thanks for the recommendation William). On the other hand I'm in a sad/angry state....cause this place is a long way from my hometown of Reno, Nevada. TR could easily stand on its own in any west coast big city. Go enjoy it people.
