Service is always on par, the food is inexpensive, and the taste is decent. The overall lightening is dim inside but it does not take too much away from the experience. Delicious! Had a veggie burrito which was super yummy. Large burrito stuffed with fresh, tasty ingredients. So glad we chose to give it a try as we were just stopping for the night and needed some takeout food that would satisfy and didn't want typical "fast food." EMERGENCY FOOD REVIEW: Food travels took me to Calhoun, Ga today...I tried out the Taco House....this was my first time eating at this establishment....this place is very popular in Calhoun and from what I can gather they have been operating for about three years....They are mostly known for the Taco House 'Fast Lane'. Nothing too fancy with the atmosphere...There are basically three dining areas...the bar and high top table area, the middle section which has a few booths and tables, and a larger room with just tables for bigger parties.....bathroom is a sufficient 1-header. FAST LANE: You can order from a menu if you like, but you are really expected to order from the Taco House 'fast lane'....When you do the 'fast lane' you are to choose from nachos, a burrito, 3 tacos, or a bowl.....you then tell the guy behind the counter what toppings and sauces you want....You get just the one trip through the 'fast lane'. CONCLUSION: Quite clearly if you are going to eat here the smartest order is the full order of nachos from the 'fast lane'......but over all I wasn't really impressed....I could only recommend that you eat here once...the Taco House is not bad, but not really repeatable for me....bottom line is I can do better making tacos at home using an Old El Paso taco kit. read more

this mexican restaurant is really cool since you are able to use the fast lane which serves as a subway but mexican food. they also have a menu if you're looking for other types of food but the fast lane offers bowls tacos and burritos. sometimes it's hard to flag down your server simply because most everyone uses the fast lane and you seat your self more time than none. the food is great! so is the salsa!! the prices are great as well!! if you plan to go eat there, make sure you won't need service on your telephone since this is the side of town that has absolutely no service. also if you check in on Facebook, you get a free cheese dip!! read more

If you don't pay attention you can miss it because there isn't really a visible sign on the road but non the less if you want authentic food from a price range of $7-10 this place will take care of you! read more

This amazing place is easy to miss if you are driving through Calhoun, or if you are in town for a swim meet. The service is surprisingly fast. You walk in the door and can immediately go through a line and order your choice of 3 tacos, nachos, burrito, or bowl with chicken or steak. The employees quickly make your meal with your choice of fresh toppings. At the end of the line, you are told to find a seat and that you will pay your waitress. This process allows everyone to have food very quickly. Once you are seated, a waitress brings chips and salsa to your table. At this point, your drink order is taken and you can order cheese dip, guacamole, etc. The thing that surprised me the most on this recent visit was the quality of employees that were working at The Taco House. They were all moving quickly and efficiently, with a smile on their faces. We will return every time we are in Calhoun. read more

The worst staff of any business I have ever encountered. Doesn't matter how the is if the service is garbage.

Let me start by saying the food is good and the service was friendly and attentive. The prices were fairly inexpensive. We ordered in the express lane and took it home. I had the torta, with pinto beans, lettuce, tomato, guacamole (which was slightly brown and some bites needed ripening), steak, chicken, and cheese. The steak was ok and the chicken was fair. I wasn't blown away. It was good, but not "earth-shattering". I ordered chorizo tacos on corn tortilla (bagged, no homemade) and steak tacos on flour tortillas (also bagged). The chorizo has good flavor (6.5/7 out of 10). The steak was probably the same, 6.5/7 out of 10. My wife had a steak (same as taco steak) cantina bowl. There was yellow rice, pinto beans, sour cream, guacamole, white queso cheese and mozzarella cheese, salsa, tomato and lettuce. Again, I would put it at a 7. The jalapeños for the bowl and torta were canned, not fresh. I felt this was a let down. That's my opinion, but I would've preferred fresh. I would go back again. I must reiterate that the servers were friendly, attentive, and made eye contact and smiled. I felt very welcomed. Also, I will say for the price, the food was solid. Again, I would go back if my time permits on my next visit to Calhoun. I don't think that any other Mexican place in Calhoun is hands down better & for the price, it's worth a look. read more

First of all, the staff was fantastic. They were so gracious, it almost felt like we were in their home. After you choose your table, you have the option of going to the taco, burrito, nacho bar or ordering from a menu, also prepared there at the bar. I ordered and suggest the authentic, steak tacos with authentic toppings. Also, if you check in on Facebook, you get a free cheese dip. I also suggest asking for their special, homemade hot sauces. The Taco House restaurant has some of the best Mexican food I've eaten. The wait staff are very attentive, polite and quick to take your order and bring it to your table and they kept my tea refilled without being prompted. I went there during the dinner rush hour and had my food and drink within a few minutes. Probably one of my favorite places to eat! Such a large portion of food which is great for when you are hungry. However here lately, the workers at this restaurant have gotten not only careless, but also frugal. I got the Nachos and got rice and beans then I asked for more chicken because she barely put any on there and she said $2 extra... I said forget it. Then I go down the line and get cheese then get queso cheese, which she barely put any on there. Then when I asked for some more she said $2 extra. My wife and our family always goes to El Nopal here in Calhoun. I am tired of it (usually once a week). Anyway we tried this place out. Walked in on a Friday night and was immediately seated. Next we went to the 'fast lane' that's a few menu items they make in front of you while you tell them what you want on it. Anyway I ordered the Mach Nacho. It was really good. A huge plate of nachos with whatever meats and veggies you'd like. My two complaints is the parking (very tight and hard to get out of on a Friday night) and the others is the food was warm but not hot. I know they can't help the parking but the food could be hotter. Other than that great place good price! I found another place other than El Nopal! read more
