It's only when the condiments and coney sauce is added that you get any flavor at all. The ambiance could be much better. The original location is run-down as you would expect from a location that's been around forever. The locations outside of downtown seem to have intentionally be decorated to mirror that image. I'm sure they've done this to give the illusion you're at the original location but for someone not native to Atlanta, it's lost on me. The service was so-so. The restaurant was not very busy yet there was no greeting from any of the staff until they were ready to take my order. What does it take to look at a customer and say welcome, rather than watching you enter and immediately looking somewhere else? If you want a good tasting hot dog from a chain restaurant, I suggest Freddy's. Otherwise, grill one for yourself.

Located in a neat downtown area with several other restaurants and some boutique style shops. Since it was a Monday evening many of them were closed. I decided to try Bigfoot's Peanut Butter and Bacon Burger (Grilled half pound angus burger topped with bacon and your choice of cheese. The peanut butter comes on the bottom bun for the added kick of flovor!). Other than being very messy, which I had to request extra napkins for (it appears that normally that they have paper towel rolls spaced around the bar top but was not near me), it was really good. The patty was cooked medium well and all the ingredients were tasty. Because of the mess I would probably not get it again. But that is the only reason. The tots were perfectly crispy outside and soft inside. It was not super crowded and other than having to ask for extra napkins, bartender was attentive. In addition to the bar top there are some tables as well. If I was back in the area would have no problems with returning and trying another burger, their prize winning wings or the "IDK What I Want" Sampler of 3 of their starter options.
