Cracker Barrel Old Country Store - Stingy serving of Comeback Sauce

Our server, Jovanna (sorry if it's spelt wrong), was absolutely amazing! She was very sweet, very…read moreattentive, and an absolute doll. Five stars to her! The food was well made, and the fries were crispy and delicious. I had the Louisiana shrimp skillet with mac, and it was deliciously seasoned. Great service, and great food!

An adequate representation of the franchise, with the wait staff being their strong suit. I arrived…read moreat 5:18PM on a Tuesday in late February and was cheered to see a blaze in the fireplace. Within 6 minutes a waitress arrived to take my drink order. They were out of lemonade so I had a Diet Coke with no ice and lemons and it was served within 2 minutes. I ordered the Tuesday special of pork chops, but had to substitute Bleu Cheese dressing because they were out of Ranch dressing! My salad came 6 minutes later was decent although the cherry tomatoes looked a bit under ripe. My entree arrived 12 minutes later, just as I finished my salad. The pork chops and onion petals were a bit greasy, but at least they were crispy. The comeback sauce container was less than half full (see my photo) and was mostly mustard. The gravy on the pork chops looked like it was made from a mix and not the quality I've come to expect from Cracker Barrel. My waitress was very attentive and proactively brought a refill including the lemons. She checked in to ensure I lacked for nothing and brought the bill without delay when I was finished.

I was there yesterday with my family. Since people have been quarantining due to the coronavirus,…read morethere wasn't that many families there (I assume that's the reason why not many families were there). I ordered the buttermilk chicken strips with fries and barbecue sauce. They tasted good, with and without barbecue sauce. I had a few fries, but became full after I finished the chicken strips so I gave the rest of the fries to my dad. I do believe, however, that IHOP in general should have more options. I was having a hard time choosing before I chose the buttermilk chicken strips. I wasn't having a hard time choosing because there were so many things to chose from, but instead because there weren't so many things to chose from. If IHOP included more options, they would attract customers of all diets. Also, the inside and outside of the restaurant was clean. Conclusion: I had a great meal at Calhoun's IHOP. Even though there are many restaurants in Calhoun, IHOP was a great choice and we weren't let down. I would recommend it for those who are hungry and are in Calhoun.

A good representation of the franchise. I visited this store on a Sunday in mid-January and the…read moreparking lot was quite full when I arrived about 10AM. But I didn't have to wait for a seat and I was warmly greeted and taken to a clean table right away. The friendly waitress made sure my drink was always refilled and ensured I never wanted for anything. I ordered the Colorado omelette (with link sausage substituting for the shredded beef). It was very flavorful and very meaty, but strangely lacking any cheese. I also added the small stack of NY Cheesecake pancakes, as I've been wanting to try them. I've had similar at competitors and enjoyed them. Sadly, iHop's version isn't very impressive. It lacked the signature cream cheese taste that I was craving, and only in a couple of bites was there the merest hint.

Buc-ee's - Fresh brisket on the board

Well, I finally made my way to the viral Buc-ee's…read more Everything you heard about this place... Is most likely true....( well at least the good things) A teenage tik tok dream When i visited this store on a Friday morning And Sunday afternoon It was like Black Friday in summer Kids everywhere completely packed The noise level was so loud i couldn't even hear my friend standing next to me The bathroom was immaculate Not sure how they keep up With the high volume of people using it I got a brisket sandwich It was ok Not the best, not the worst The cookies were good The peanut butter flavored one stood out to me Customer service Especially when you consider How many people the employees deal with in 24hrs I believe buc-ee's should be experienced by everyone It reminded me of times when people used to go to malls When everyone was outside Buc-ee's is more than just stepping into a store It's a complete experience

I'm a die-hard fan of all the weird and wonderful that is Buc-ee's, but despite this being my…read moremost-frequented location, this one falls flat. Buc-ee's is more than a gas station... it's an experience! This one sits a little past halfway on the Nashville-to-Atlanta drive, so a lot of us hit it often, and that's my main gripe: it is way, way too crowded. Almost every visit, even off-peak, there's traffic just getting off the highway and into the lot. They don't manage it well for a lot this size, and it always feels like you're one distracted driver away from a fender bender. Parking is tough, sometimes requiring circling around or parking far away. I come here mostly for the clean bathrooms, so having to wait in line for the women's restroom on two recent visits felt outrageous given there must be fifty stalls in there. Inside, weird and tasty snacks galore. Everyone says get the brisket and jerky, but insiders know the breakfast burritos are the true star, fresh-made flour tortillas and all. The highlight of my last stop was dill pickle sour straws, handed out as samples, excellent. The sugar-roasted candied pecans look tempting but are rarely actually fresh and warm at this location, which is frustrating. Then there's a warehouse-worth of home goods, clothing, house supplies, and anything you can print a Bucc-ee on. The t-shirts are my favorite, absurdly soft, my fave for sleeping in. This spot is ultimately still a classic Buc-ee's experience. But the crowds and the traffic and the general hassle make me think twice about stopping. Gas here is cheap, though not the cheapest on the route.
