Cool, local yocal, hang out. Love the decor. Food was decent pub style, but the decor and nice tap list was the highlight. They have a fun arcade as well for the kiddos, which was a nice way for them to have some fun after placing our order. Noisy, local hangout. Good food. Poor service :( Out for dinner with friends. The Haddock Fish Fry is tasty. The coleslaw has apple and was nice. French fries were just fries, nothing special, and served under the fish, so they got a bit greasy. Ordered the sampler appetier platter to share. Everyone agreed that the chicken cordon bleu bites and the mozzarella sticks were great but the chicken tenders were boring. Platter came with three sauces, lots to choose from. The adirondack chicken was good. The sauce is pre-made so when one of our party requested no onions - that was not a request they could meet. The service was not great. We were seated immediately. Our server dropped off menus, took drink orders, and departed. Did not introduce herself. After we ordered, one of our party needed another beer but server never stopped by. Even though it was a Friday, the restaurant was maybe half way full and the bar was not yet rocking. We noticed our server chatting and tried to catch her eye but failed. To begin, customer service is one of the most important things about any business. I've been a customer, repeat customer, and also brought many groups to this restaurant for years. I called this time to order ahead and rude is an understatement. Whomever answered the phone answered and said "hold on", and could literally hear the phone drop. I waited several minutes and could hear her in the background complaining to I'm assuming the bartender. Answered that phone and said "what do you want", then I asked if they had any specials and she snarly replied "no", then said "oh yeah fish", I finished the order she said, "name" and then immediately hung up. Like I said I've been coming here for years and I will mention it when I see the owner and suggest she is spoken with. I only give one chance for this and this is the only chance, next time I won't return. I also own a camp and rental nearby and won't suggest them as well. And yes i understand they were a bit busy, but, when you're spending $100 on a take out order or $100 period, you should get service that is adequate. read more

Stopped here while out ATV riding while visiting the area. Gorgeous day, sat and ate on the deck. Asked about the beer on tap that was listed on the menu and the waitress said they had no beer currently on tap. Ordered a bottled beer which they were out of too. Got a different beer. Weird but no big deal. Food was great. We got bang bang shrimp which had great sauce and I got the Buffalo chicken sandwich. Our friends ordered cheese curds that never came, waitress was apologetic but we already had our meals at the point so we cancelled that order. Overall great food and atmosphere. read more

I love Pine Tree! It helps to know the area because while the address is correct it doesn't show it correctly on the map. (Pine Tree Inn is not in Lyons Falls) Don't be fooled by its remote location; this place is usually busy. It's a hot spot for snowmobilers and four wheeler enthusiast and it usually has some form of entertainment scheduled on the weekends. The food is good but the atmosphere is one of a kind. read more

My husband and I were out on the snowmobile and decided to stop for lunch. We have been trying to eat healthier so we did soup and salad. We shared the chicken with dumpling soup, Chili, taco salad and Ceasar salad with chicken. The chili was a little spicy but not too spicy. Quite nice. We ate at the bar. The service was attentive. It was a holiday so the place was full. It did take a little while for the food to come out. The wait staff kept us informed. We were not in a rush and I enjoyed the chance to warm up. read more

Came in on a Saturday during our religious seminar retreat and boy are we happy we did. The Pine Tree Inn is a hidden treasure. The food was great (especially liked the buffalo wings, cordon blue balls, and rib eye steaks) but the highlight of our visit were by far the Fish Bowl drinks. These are the best Fish Bowls we've ever had. Anywhere. We were joking about how we should just stay a few more days at the cabin just so we could come back and have more Fish Bowls. If you're in the area we highly recommend at the very least just stopping for a quick Fish Bowl. They come with candy on them and they're soooooo good. The only down side of our whole visit was that they ran out of cantaloupe so we just got pieces of lettuce without cantaloupe as garnish but in the end the Fish Bowls and good apps and entrees made it all worth it. read more

I give it one star because that's the lowest you can rate it. I guess it does deserve at least that for the good location. Here's my experience with the Pine Tree Inn. A friend and I were in the area so we stopped in for some food and drinks around 4 pm. There was no host and the place was not busy so we walked up to the bar and sat down. There were 4-5 people already sitting at the bar. The bartender looked at us, didn't say anything and turned around to continue what she had been doing. As best I could tell, she and another employee were restocking the bar. My friend and I continued waiting for another 10 minutes or so. The bartender nor any other employee said anything or acknowledged us in any manner. My friend got up and looked around. He didn't see any menus or other employees so he sat down again. A few more minutes passed and we agreed to leave. As we got up the bartender turned around...but still said nothing. Ridiculous! I yelled "thanks" and we left. I have tried to give her the benefit of doubt. Maybe they were not serving food yet? Nope...the website says it's open Noon to 9 pm. Plus she didn't know if we even wanted food. Either way, no effort to find out our wishes was made. I've had poor service before, but this probably tops the list. I will take the Pine Tree Inn off my list of places to eat the next time I am in the area. It's a shame as this is one of the few choices in Brantingham. If you decide to go...hopefully you will have better luck. Perhaps the food is actually good and the beer is cold. read more

I have to admit I have a bias for the place, not because of the food but because of the setting. It's basically a bar in the woods which gives you a "lodge" and relaxed atmosphere so you feel like to wind down as soon as you enter the place. I recommend to sit in the bar area though. The food is not outstanding but they have decent choices and it is consistent and good. Basically a nice bar with decent food, I give it a go when you just want to kick back a bit. read more

I've come here twice for dinner this summer and both times the wait service has been dreadfully slow--once on a Sunday afternoon, the other time was a Friday night. Seriously, 30 minutes between waitress visits is pushing it--and it wasn't their fault-they had too many customers to tend to. Please....for the love of whoever...HIRE ANOTHER WAITER/WAITRESS. One of a kind place! The interior is decorated with animal mounts ranging from foxes to fish. Food is decent, not a lot of other dining options in the area. Has a pool table for your entertainment. They also recently added a bigger outdoor seating area which looks really nice. read more

We spend our summers in Lewis Co, There are not many choices to eat out in the Brantingham area. We have been to the Pine Tree only twice and there will not be a third time. First we went as a party of 4 and were seated at a table with a nice view. We ordered dinner and were having our appetizers when a large party came in. We were asked to move with our things so they could put tables together for the other party. Not Cool! We moved with our drinks, table settings and appetizers to another less desirable table. Second time we went as a party of 2 for a late dinner. We were still eating when a band started setting up and we were told we would have to pay an extra charge if we stayed longer. A family run institution, and so much love there---- if you visit a couple of times, you will understand it. The food is good, maybe not great, but the place is great because of the people that run it, work in it and visit it. It's a community treasure and a landmark, rightfully so. It's a huge log cabin, with every kind of hunting trophy, an outdoor deck with a fire pit and all kinds of Adirondak flair. If you are anywhere near here, do yourself a favor and drop in.
