DONT GET THE OYSTERS. They were falling apart and had no liquid at all. Dry. I got the snow crab legs and the meat inside was dry as well!!! I couldn't believe it. Went in after 1pm on a Thursday. Expected better quality for the prices. First time being at a pincher's. I won't go back. The grouper nuggets had a fishy taste. Service was good. Tried to go to Dockside Waterfront Grill. We live a couple hours away and we came for hubby's bday. We had a past dinner at Dockside and we loved it! They were closed due to a plumbing issue. We drove down the road and saw Pinchers. Never heard of it so we tried. The bogo house margaritas were decent. Good hush puppies except for the sauce! Cajun mayo was not good! Not our thing anyway. I had fried shrimp dinner with fries. It was pretty good. Crunchy smaller shrimp. Good fresh cut fries. Hubby had the crab leg dinner. Supposed to be a pound but I doubt it. We buy them from the store and he should have had another cluster. Anyway they were ok. Not sweet. Edible just not wow! He had baked beans and garlic mashed. Both ok. Server Christina was very nice, we just felt rushed and they were dead! She knew it was our first time, hands us a 10 page menu and asks if we're ready to order. lol. She was on the ball but I think more of a turn the tables over quickly waitress. We weren't there that long but trying to enjoy a birthday dinner and not rush. The outside appearance is stunning in this location. An interesting and beautiful building with a pretty water fountain in the pond and park. Outside dining is also very desirable on the property. The entrance looks formal and the nice bar lounge is very comfortable looking. It was very busy and I was seated in a separate dining area. The room was whimsical with its many signs and decor. I was a bit taken aback by the room because it was not at all elegant but it was interesting. Our particular booth the kind staff led us to had a cushioned seat but underneath felt like it had 4 metal bars sticking out of it. I never said anything because I just put my coat underneath myself. The hostess, our waiter and the rest of the staff were all outstanding with service and knowledge and kindness. And our food was excellent. I'm sure I'll visit again!! read more

The server was friendly, attentive, and informative about when the order would be ready, and they were very accommodating to my fellow guests' dietary needs. My grilled shrimp skewers were generous (about 20 small-to-medium shrimp) and nicely seasoned, as was the garlic-sauced broccoli. Prices were reasonable for seafood. I also enjoyed the key lime pie - just the right portion. The ambience is rustic seaside fishery, with brightly colored beadboard and a lot of wall signs. Plenty of windows too. When I'm in Venice, I usually stop at this place because I know the seafood and crabs are so delicious. My favorite on the menu is these little crab arms that theymarinate in butter. Wyatt was our waiter and very good at his role. we started with crab rangoon, it was 8 pieces and very good. our meals were salmon and fried scallops, both came with hand cut fries, I add baked beans and my wife added garlic bread. my wife said the salmon was cooked perfectly, my scallops came with 9 on the plate, they were also good. the hand cut fries were cooked correctly. the baked beans and garlic bread were also good. we had low expectations of the place but they changed our minds. manager also came to our table to check on our meals, nice touch! read more

What a disappointed!! Terrible service. A few of us ordered salad as our Main Course - the server brought them out after about a 20 minute wait and 40 minutes later brought out the rest of the tables meals. We had told the server that the salad was to be served when everyone's meal was ready. When the food arrived they had it all mixed up - wrong order etc. The manager was not helpful. In short- our meal was not pleasant and the food was cold. The manager took $10 off the $215 bill. Waste of time and money read more

Great for a family dinner with my grandchildren ages 5 and 7. Servers are terrific. You can sit either inside or out on deck.

Decided to give Pincher's another shot. We had friends from Nashville staying with us and the daughter wanted Blue Crabs. First the good. They have 30 minute call ahead and the daughter loved her Blue Crab. The bad were the shrimp and Grouper . Both were overcooked and didn't taste fresh. The Ugly- the famous fish fry. Not crispy , fresh or any flavor except for the French fries. They were very busy and service was excellent. They just aren't in the top twenty of seafood restaurants in our area. read more

When I read the menu and it bragged on how that it has its own boats and only serve fresh fish. Maybe it was the chef that day but some of the fish that my group ordered didn't taste fresh or wasn't seasoned properly but it was not something I want to pay for. Our server was absent for almost our whole stay there. I had to ask another server that was walking by in order to just get water and that took over five minutes. The food took its time in getting to us and I didn't receive my food until 10 minutes after my group of three had obtained their food. The cuisine was edible but for the reviews that I read about this restaurant I was highly disappointed. The decor was inviting and there was live music on the premise. The songs were decent enough but it was Easter Sunday and some inspirational songs would have been nice. It was very sparse for Sunday much less Easter Sunday. All in all, I left with a bitter taste from the lackluster service that we received. read more

I've had blue crab in the past, right off the dock in NJ actually! They are quite lovely in pasta. Figured i would give it a shot here and ordered the "little less(4)". Presentation wise, they appeared to be okay, no red flags. However, once i cracked my first claw, i was met with a horrid scent that caused instant nausea. Immediately stopped in my tracks. After a bit I decide to see how the others were, hoping it was just a one off situation as everyone else in my party had fantastic snow crab. NOPE. We were looking for some good seafood in the area, and stumbled upon this place. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a smile and seated immediately. The place has a cool bar vibe. The seafood seemed a bit pricey. We ordered the crab and corn chowder, crab and cheese dip, and the grouper stuffed with crab. The chowder was sweet and spicey which I really didn't care for. The dip had more cheese than necessary, and lacked the needed crab meat. The grouper was tasty, but didn't have any crab to justify the $32 price tag. The stuffing was just a bit of breading with just a few strings of crab. The green beans were perfect, but the mashed potatoes were cold. I love Pinchers. My husband and I go 2-3 times a month. Today I was unhappy with the fries. There were six of us for a birthday lunch. The waitress put in an order for new fresh cut fries, to replace the burnt fries, for everyone at our table. Once again they arrived burnt looking. The "manager" (A woman with mid length dark hair) brushed off my concern that the new fries were just as burnt and dried out. No one was going to eat any of the fries. A little bit later I went in search of some to go boxes. Our waitress was newer and doing her best What I believe was another manger, in the bar area (younger-dark haired gentleman) asked if I had a good meal. I explained about the fries. He not only apologized but also said it was a new vendor and they were struggling to get their usual quality. He heard me. He put in orders for the steak fries for everyone to take home. So my 4 stars is because I typically have a fabulous meal. Tony's Big Fish Sandwich and the Hot Crab Dip are my favorites. But also the second manager listened to my concern and addressed it.
