went to this place when they had their lunch going. it was my husband , myself and my toddler. We came here after playing at the childrens museum down the road. upon entering, it smelled like wine and parmesan cheese. The restaurant is kept nice and clean. the waiters are dressed nicely and the decor is modern. It seems to be a nice place to take someone on a date. Our toddler wasn't feeling it so we ordered food and then asked for it to go and the waiter was very fast with his service. The food we ordered were both on the lunch special. Mine was fettuccini alfredo with chicken and mushrooms and my husband got the pasta siciliano. both tastes cooked in wine and that was yummy. lots of garlic too. They do bring bread to the table with olive oil and herbs. the bread is very nice and delicious. I do not care for the caesar salad i ordered. it was super bland, waste of money. We both enjoyed our pasta. my husbands was a red sauce and mine was obviously white being alfredo . The chicken for the dish didn't taste that fresh. kind of chewy. the flavor was there though. i prefer it without the chicken next time. We didn't get to stay long because my toddler kept wanting to walk and kept wanting to go to the park. i am pleased with the service and would like to try the pizza next time. will skip the caesar salad because it's not flavorful at all read more

Really disappointed this visit. The shrimp scampi was so filled with red pepper it was inedible. The pepper could be scraped off the shrimp, but not off the pasta. The salmon dish had too much black pepper. We commented on this to the manager and only got a non-committal reply. The bread and salads were lovely and the service was as good as usual. Seating is a bit tight and some of the patrons were quite rowdy. We are considering not returning. read more

We had a party of 12 last night, and while the food was ok, the quality wasn't reflective of the price whatsoever. In addition, because of the automatic gratuity applied to parties of 6 or more, it seemed like our waiter wasn't engaged. The food took an unreasonable amount of time to get to the table and things like bread and water weren't refilled promptly. Lastly, several of our party was up all night throwing up, so I can't give this place a positive review. Hopefully they will have some of these issues worked out if we ever decide to return. read more

Pignetti's never disappoints!!! I was excited to see their gluten free options and they were delicious! The stuffed risotto balls are a meal in itself, the stuffed salmon was wonderful!!! Quick service, attentive and entertaining server, lunch here is always great!!! read more

I am Italian and cook better then any Italian restaurant if been to except in Italy. But Pignetti's did a pretty good job with lots of homemade pasta dishes... this place is better then anything in Houston, Austin, or Dallas and we'll worth the drive wherever you live!!! Eccellente... Bravo! read more

We were very Disappointed with our service and our table assignment. We had reservations for 7:15p.m. on June 3rd to celebrate our 51st Wedding Anniversary. We arrived at about 7:12. The greeting was cool as yes they were busy. We were assigned to the highchairs located in the runway of all the staff. I asked for a regular table and was told it would be at least a 45 minute wait. We're both in our 70's and we can't easily jump up on these type chairs. (These tables are for people just socializing and not eating dinner.) We didn't get water until we sat there for quite some time. Finally, we were brought bread and at that time we ordered an appetizer and two glasses of wine. We saw our appetizer sitting on the pickup counter as we could see as the food was being prepared and sent out. Finally, we get our appetizer but still no wine. We decided to hurry and place our order as it might be a while before someone would stop and check on us. This was a Not good choice to Celebrate our Anniversary! read more

In a couple words: Ribeye Lasagna. Absolutely amazing! Only surprise was that they did not have liquor, so you can have beer or a choice from their extensive wine selection instead. read more

Oh my gosh! Where to begin. Well we went here for a double date night with some friends. Being Italian it's hard to impress me, however; I LOVE this place. First the restaurant is quaint with low lighting and very ambiance filled. Other than the strange flower pics in the main dining area that are stunning but don't fit the feeling of the restaurant at all. The music is low but rather nice. All the patrons used their inside voices and were very respectful to those around them. The server who's name evades me was very kind and he was helpful with wines, beer and food options. He was on it with our water and making sure we never had to ask for anything. It was a delightful evening. We will be coming back for my sons Birthday. read more

This is a nice restaurant that appears to be high class and then you look at the menu and realize, ooo is this out of budget? The answer is no it's priced just as the restaurants around for *chiefs kiss* food. The Caesar salad fantastic The salmon delicious The lobster fresh & poopin Endless refills for my soda addicted husband judgement free This was our weekly date spot for about a month but we didn't want to burn out on it just make up for lost time. So what a great find in Temple..and it's been there 17 years!! My wIfe and II are in Temple Part time right now and the chain restaurant have run the course. We found this little Italian gem by accident. A great server named Sean, a great bottle of Barolo, and two great lasagna dishes made for a great date night! Pignettis is a downtown Temple which has seen better days for sure but still retains charm. We thoroughly enjoyed ooze dinner and experience here. The place was busy and thriving. If you are in Temple, Texas seek this place for some great Italian! read more

The food is amazing, and the wine selection is unmatched for the Central Texas area. The tables are super close together so it feels a bit intrusive, I wouldn't anticipate having an intimate conversation. But the food and wine is well worth it! They even accommodate large groups. We took a group of about 16 there and he food came out all warm. Love love love! read more

Mr. Harwell, Please give your patrons who make reservations priority. Otherwise there is no point in making reservation. I had a bad experience with The Barton House running out of food on Mother's Day. Today I had a reservation at Pignetti's for 6:15 PM and when I arrived I was told it would be a 45 minute wait. I ended up going to La Riv. We were seated at a community table and were told that they were holding their four person tables for other patrons of bigger parties. That's what you should do is hold tables for people who have reservations! Not make them wait 45 minutes . Officially lost patrons to your establishments. Born and raised in Temple. read more

Food was amazing Dessert was delicious atmosphere was great Look forward to having dinner there again read more

LOL @ this place. I made a reservation for four and when we got there, they said we had a 15-20 minute wait (strike one), but okay stuff happens. So we see a white family of four walk in and get seated immediately (strike two). So I walk in to observe the foolery for myself so no more assumptions could be made on my part, right? Another white family of five walks in and gets seated immediately so at this point, nahhhhhh I'm saying something. I ask the hostess why they got sat before us and this is how the conversation goes: Hostess: oh...well their table was ready. Me: and our table wasn't? We had a 6:45 reservation and we are still waiting. Hostess: well they had a larger party. Me: So you sat the larger party before you sat the table of four with a reservation? Hostess: Oh, well we aren't operating at 100% capacity right now (Mind you folks are shoulder to shoulder in this place and I'm already uncomfortable with that) Me: Okay so we had a reservation, our table wasn't ready so we had to wait, but two white families, one with the same party size, one larger, got to be seated immediately? You see how that looks? Hostess: (Strike three) Me: No thanks, cancel our reservation. We'll take our money elesewhere. Hostess: But- Me: Cancel it. Do better. read more

This is a really nice restaurant with fabulous food. My husband and I prefer a little more low key so we like to go early and sit at one of the two tables in the "bar" area. The staff are so friendly and if you're into wine, like us, there is so much to try and enjoy. Everything I have tried is great - even the bread! read more

I wasn't in love with my visit. Our party of four had reservations this past Friday and arrived ten minutes prior to our reservation time. Having been our first time there, I peeked around the place to see that there were three available four tops in the main dining room. I was annoyed, then, when one of the hostesses asked me if we were okay sitting at a high-top table in this nook of a space off the lobby. I responded with a matter-of-fact, "No," and she told us (a minute later) that one of those tables I'd spotted earlier was available. My point in saying all of this is to ask: instead of providing us with a decent table (which, again, we reserved) in a more comfortable spot in the dining room, they attempted to squish us into a b-rate table to accommodate whom?!? We sat down and ordered drinks: Shiners for the guys, frosé for the ladies (very delicious and we ended up ordering two). The calamari (for our appetizers) were bland with no seasoning save the marinara that accompanied it and the squeeze of lemon juice I added. The were just shy of being too tough, so I would say they were mediocre on texture. I wouldn't order them again. I had the linguini and clams entree which I was very happy with. The baby clams weren't gritty, which I really appreciate. My husband ordered the osso bucco which was on special. Having had an assignment to perfect the osso bucco while in culinary school, I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. They sell it as "fall off the bone tender" which is wasn't, but I wasn't bothered by that. The texture and bite on it was perfect, in my opinion. Our friends ordered the lobster ravioli (he counted two chunks of lobster and no more) and the herb-crusted mahi mahi which was burned on the underside. Both were just okay. The complimentary bread was delicious and always warm. The desserts were abysmal. So much, in fact, I asked a man who appeared to be the GM to remove my creme brûlée from the bill. It lacked any sort of flavor, was over-cooked, and had a poor excuse for a brûléed crust. My husband's tiramisu was ho-hum. I would love to troubleshoot the issue with the creme brûlée if the management would allow it. It was pretty horrid. The service was average. Our waitress forgot a few things we requested and had to be reminded. She would also disappear for extreme lengths of time (hence me having to request help from the GM). All-in-all, I felt the GM was receptive to my complaints about the meal and will try them again. The excuse given by both he, the assistant GM (I'm assuming) and the waitress was that it was a busy night. As someone who's worked in foodservice for going on 30 years, it wasn't bad for a Friday evening, so I think it was more a lack of quality control and attention-to-detail- all which can be remedied with intention. I'm just OK with Pignetti's. read more

Our first experience at Pignetti's was made EXCEPTIONAL by Valerie!!! Thank you for your shining personality, you made a good night into a great night! It's been a very long time since we've had our table, drinks, and food attended to in such a manor as you did. Not only were you attentive to our needs at our table, but also interjected small talk which made our experience very personal unlike a generic waitstaff at most restaurants. We truly enjoyed our night with you and appreciate you! read more

We attended a wedding that was catered by Pignettis, also the rehearsal dinner was here as well. Everything that they served was absolutely fantastic! The first night I had the chicken Parmesan and my boyfriend had prime rib, both absolutely delightful. Wine selection at the restaurant was phenomenal and the staff were very helpful with recommendations and such. The night of the wedding they served tortellini (the best I've ever had!), chicken Alfredo and some sort of ravioli. I had a little bit of each offering and was not disappointed! Not only was the food great, the staff were very friendly as well. Valerie helped us both nights and she definitely knows her stuff! Super helpful and delightful to talk to. read more

Great service and good food, they were very busy but service didn't suffer. Only complaint food could have been warmer.

the boba here is awful and it takes so long for boba that's not even good and its so expensive!

OMG THE SHEPHERDS PIE WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! It was one of the best things I've ever eaten. And the driver brought my food 20 minutes before it was expected. Thank you so much Pignettis! read more

Sad to say, we won't be back. We have enjoyed it in the past. Recently took out of town family here for lunch, after raving about the quality. I had the Eggplant Rollatini, a dish I have enjoyed on previous visits-not this time-sauce tasted like something Ragu would be embarrassed to put in a jar. Hubby had the Tuscan Chicken Penne-OK, but not up to par. Our guest ordered the Ribeye Meatloaf-he said it was passable, nothing special. All in all, food has gone downhill. Service was good, thus the two stars. read more

The waitstaff here is always amazing! Our favorite appetizer is the El Fico pizza. It's a blend of figs and prosciutto and goat cheese and is delicious! Dinner Monday evening was ok. Service was pretty good. Wine selection is extensive and well rounded. Prices a little high for the pasta dishes. Our big complaint was the addition of a charge if you pay with a credit card. Have never ever seen this at any restaurant around the country. If you pay cash then they drop the charge. We will never eat here again because of this policy. read more

I have always had a good experience at Pignetti's until today. I made a reservation for this evening through their system, powered by Open Table. When my wife, child and infant son arrived, we were told that our reservation was not showing up and even though there were multiple open tables both inside and outside of the restaurant we were told that it would be at least a 30 minute wait. The hostess was rude and condescending. Even though I have been there thousands of times over the years for both business and pleasure, I will never darken their door again. We went right around the corner to Cheeve's Brothers Steakhouse and were seated immediately with no reservation. Horrible accommodations by Pignetti's! read more

I've eaten here twice and overall it is very good. I was disappointed in the veal dish I was served but it wasn't completely terrible, just not to the standard of which I hold this place. The food was ok. Overpriced for the quality I'm afraid. The pizza was alright. The staff is nice:

Absolutely Perfect Meal Seriously great service to start with: The owner greeted us, the manager greeted us, and the hostess greeted us as we entered. I could immediately see evidence of the owners reputation for loving wine--cases of great labels are stacked about everywhere. The wine list isn't a list--it is a wine Ipad. you can search it, and it is also well organized for browsing with tabs for types of wine. What nice, well balanced menu -- my wife had an excellent tender steak; I had the chicken parmesan--both excellent and the chicken is really a nice bargain at 14. A great glass of Beaujolais was $7. Salad was $8. You can go up from there, of course, the steak was $24. The water magically filed itself (the waiters are all dressed as ninja's) the bread was replaced, substitutions were cheerfully made. Our waitress was on it, and there was always someone watching to make sure we were happy. Dessert was super as well, even the coffee was good. We didn't want for anything and the food couldn't have been any better. Just a great experience. read more

My husband and I decided to eat here on a whim and I'm glad we did. We were seated right away and greeted with a variety of wine options. I ordered the Cabernet Franc. At $15/glass it was more on the pricer side, but well worth every penny. The grilled ribeye I ordered was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. My husband ordered the veal and by the looks of the plate afterwards he enjoyed his meal as well. For dessert we opted for the most fantastic red velvet cake. It was so good we fought over the last bite, lol. Great food, service and ambiance. We will be back! read more
