Went there for the first time to get some coffee and deserts with my mother as we both adore French bakeries and cuisine. Per our entrance into the overly crowded restaurant, we were trying to carefully make our way to the bar, while I was stopped due to someone grabbing the water I was holding out of my hand. As I looked up and smiled thinking this was some kind of a joke from a middle aged man who was probably drunk, the man continues to snatch the water out of my hand with the following statement , "you don't bring your drink into my restaurant," and tosses it out with out asking me or even introducing himself. As I finally made my way to the bar and grabbed the only two seats confused after what has just happened, the bartender merely throws the napkins at us with out greeting us (must take it after his boss) and begins talking to the gentleman who was hoping to get our seats at the bar. After we made it clear that we just wanted a quick coffee and a desert he suggested we get a table (there was a huge line and he knew that) so he could give our seats to the couple who were getting dinner. There is a place to be desperate for business and tips and I'm sure there is also a place for snobbism, but I promise having grace and class takes you a long way even if I a young woman mistakenly brought in a water with her to your restaurant. We went to Pierre's for lunch where my boyfriend tried the lobster salad, it was doused in mayonnaise. He ate the whole plate of course. Two hours later, he was incapacitated and had fallen ill in bed. We had a big gala to attend and had rented a car and hotel just for this. You can probably imagine what happened next: No gala, nothing; He was sick curling in bed for 5 hours, praying and almost crying. Finally, he vomitted; The most violent vomit I have ever heard. All the lobster salad came out. He was sick throughout the night and into the morning; worst food poisoning we've ever seen between both of us. I wrote about it on Instagram and the owner contacted me asking to settle things on the phone; When my boyfriend called, he accusingly asked if he had "gone to the hospital" and that it was "his word against ours." He even suggested that perhaps it was from the lettuce but not the lobster, and that HE HIMSELF eats the lobster but NOT the lettuce.. Interesting. Long story short: Never eat at Pierre's - You may become VERY ill, have your entire weekend wasted, and on top of that be berated on the phone by the owner. read more

I don't leave many reviews. I hate people who badmouth others and are nasty. I admire Pierre as a an entrepreneur running a restaurant business every day. I have been going to Pierre's for many years. Historically, the food was always good. Something has happened of late?? We went last night and I had the tomatoes and avocado appetizer ( why doesn't it come with mozzarella??) along with the "boneless" Bronzino as my main course. The Bronzino came with some bones and was very much over cooked and dry. I could only eat a third of it and had to return it. Furthermore, the basket of bread was not as tasty as I remembered it to be. Overall, Pierre's is expensive but I don't have a problem with that given its location and overhead. However, if you charge a lot and deliver over cooked and subpar food then I have a problem. Hopefully, Pierre can turn the kitchen around and bring back the tasty and well prepared food that they have served in the past!! read more

I made a reservation for Friday night. The restaurant called mid-day on Friday and I canceled the reservation. Pierre's has a policy that if you cancel the day of they charge you $50 a person (Charged his CC $200). The hostess did not mention this on the phone. Its my experience the food is overpriced and the quality has diminished. The owner is also clearly insecure about filling his restaurant. Its so easy to make a reservation here last minute. I have been here a few times and every time I wonder why I give this person my money. The owner is an old, white haired tyrant. Even his staff doesn't have anything nice to say about him. He is rude and condescending. He thinks people are beneath him and that he does us a favor by allowing us to eat in his restaurant. Today I had another bad experience - and that's it. I refuse to be treated that way when there are so many beautiful restaurants in the Hamptons. This was a great restaurant. It is now a pretentious, noisy place, and the food had no taste. The mussles were tastless--boiled seafood in milk. The bronzino had no taste. The drinks were watery. The waiters essentially threw the food at the customers. The tables were directly on top of each other ?COVID violation? The waiters were not wearing masks., All for $80 a person. An absolute disgrace of a restaurant with an owner who can only be described as a horrible and rude human being. Waited 30 minutes for drinks only to be told by Pierre himself, " well you can wait a few more then.". They ran out of menus, plates and cuttlery and after ordering our mains, the waiter came back an hour later to say they had ran out of salmon. Do not go here. We were not the only ones complaining and even Pierre's own staff were saying how rude he is. read more

Sadly, our waiter ruined what could have been a wonderful experience at Pierre's. The first woman who approached our table was kind and considerate and helpful... unfortunately they were not our waiter. He was rude, arrogant, un-attentive and frankly made the experience unpleasant. The food was delicious and the rest of the staff was kind and attentive. Just here for dinner it was wonderful I had the onion soup to start so did my wife it was incredible on a cold night. For my main course i had Pan seared salmon with cauliflower gratin. Terrific. my wife had the Chilean sea bass, salmon, sea scallops, shrimp and lobster. I had a taste and it was delicious. A Raspberry sorbet with a cup of coffee. Now Bring on the New Year ! My experience here was just terrible. The waitress wore a long tank top as a dress, which showed her panties. Very tacky and an awkward place to eat. I called to speak to the owner and he told me that was the uniform. I guess he enjoys the view. My family and I did not! We also did not enjoy the fee of $5 per soda and $5.75 for coffee. Awful. Service from start to finish was not good. Food was okay. Paid for a meal for 3, & immediately after finishing our food we were continuously asked to leave our table. When we said no (because we paid to be there) we were met with a guilt trip, rolled eyes, and heavy sighs. read more

Excellent eating experience.. from walking in the door and being greeted by employee, seated and drink order taken, was maybe 5 minutes. Meal was served hot and excellent taste. Server was very friendly and helpful. read more
