I'm usually very much a chain-restaurant pizza guy, and usually stick to something like a Papa Johns or Pizza Hut. For a change of pace I had Pie 5 delivered and didn't regret it in the least. The 'personal' pizza seems roughly 3x bigger than the standard chains, and trumped them in customizability by a long-shot. The pan crust was perfect, the toppings/cheese serving was generous, and frankly these are the best sun-dried tomatoes that I've ever had on a pizza, odd as they look. Why is this place rated 4/5 stars? Very misleading. I walked in, started telling one of the employees what type of pizza I'd like. It's the "build it yourself" style and pick out the ingredients you want. The regular size pizza is the size of a small kitchen plate (like 10"). They had most of the toppings and sauce I wanted except the mushrooms were weird. They were julienne cut (think thin strips). I like mushrooms where I can actually taste that it's there. The pizza was put into a belt oven that cooked it while it rolled to the end of the belt. The problem is I think the oven needed to be hotter because the cheese was barely melted. The crust tasted like cardboard; not fresh. More like frozen pizza. The employees were not smiling and I asked the cashier a question and he seemed disorganized. read more

I was impressed with how good these pizzas taste. It's like a pizza version of Subway or Chipotle. You get a choice of making your own personal pan pizza with your selection of crusts (thin, Italian style, pan, or something else I forgot), your choice of sauce, then you can either select your own toppings or pick one that's already formulated on the menu. I chose the Chicken Alfredo one. And even afterwards, you can add to it more different toppings if you like. It's great!! They are also very generous with the toppings too because some places can get pretty stingy. The pizza is pretty much ready with 10 minutes or so, but then it seemed shorter than that. To me the size is pretty big. It's just enough for 2 people. They cut it into 6 pieces. They also give you the choice to put a finishing touch to it and add different toppings afterwards too. Get the magic mix or whatever it's called. If you sign up for their free membership, you get a free half bday pizza and they also give out pizzas for stuff like Veterans Day, which is pretty cool. Cheap, tasty and quick pizza. They serve 9 inch personal pizzas, with a couple different menu options, or a build your own. I tried the BBQ pulled pork, and the Athenian, along with their side salads. The concept is simple, similar to a sandwich place, where you tell the guy behind the counter which pizza, they build it in front of you, then throw it into an oven where it pops out the other side and then they finish it with your cold toppings. You then pay, and take your tasty pizza to your table. For $9.20+tax you get a pizza, a drink and a side salad, garden or caesar, with your choice of dressing. The bbq pork was tasty, with a tangy bbq sauce, pickles, peppers, onions and what they call "Magic Dust" aka fancy cheese blend sprinkled on top. The Athenian is a typical greek pizza with feta, olives, sun-dried tomato sauce and chicken but very fresh. You also can change ingredients, including what kind of crust you want. They have thin crust, traditional pan, italian herb or gluten free. The pizza and salad was just the right amount of food for lunch, and it was fast enough that a few workers from nearby stores were able to sit and enjoy their break. There's pizza styles for everyone. my 4-yr-old niece is a picky eater and the option to have a pizza WITHOUT marinara sauce is a definite PLUS! my sister is in love with their bqb chicken pizza, another chose the tuscan.. i'm more of a build-your-own and mine was out-of-this world good! pan (or deepdish) crust, garlic and alfredo sauce, cheese (mozzarella, ricotta and cheddar!), spinach, bacon and chicken.. and THEN they have the option to put MORE on the pizza (feta cheese, basil, pesto and "magic dust" - say YES to it all!!). i didn't even have to eat with a fork and knife because the crust was strong enough to hold it all (unheard of, right?!).. and their drink machine is the kind they have at AMC theaters, or they have some select few bottles of coke products if you prefer.. Honestly, I'm not 4-star impressed with the pizza itself, but more the concept and the variety of toppings. The pizza would be a solid 3 stars because it's a small portion for the price, and unless you pay to add a lot more toppings you may not be full after! That being said, the staff is always really great and friendly, it reminds me of a Quizno's where you build it, they run it through the oven, and then they finish it on the other side for you and you pay. The pizza is good, and if you are avoiding gluten or bread the cauliflower crust is really good, though pricy. You have to watch them with the toppings and make sure they get it to the edge, but the toppings are fresh and lots of choices. AVOID the 'stix'! Ugh! Love the concept, but a little overpriced for a personal pizza. They offer a variety of toppings from sundried tomatoes to pineapples, and you get a pizza within 5 minutes. $7.57 for a small personal pizza seems kinda steep though. Pizza was good! A friend of mine was lauding the virtues of cauliflower pizza crust so I decided to give one a try. This was not the establishment to do so. I should have left as I used the men's room to wash my hands before placing my order. It was filthy. It certainly had not been cleaned today. I ordered the pizza even though the crust was an extra $3.95. Add two toppings and a drink with the lowest tip available at checkout of 20% and my bill was $18.95. Pretty pricey and it wouldn't have been so bad but the pizza was absolutely the worst pizza I have ever had. It was worse than every frozen pizza I have baked. It was cold, the crust was tough and had the texture of stale saltine crackers. I will say the thick crust pizza another gentleman was having looked good and I was jealous. However I'm done with this establishment. I would still like to try a good cauliflower crust pizza and will search elsewhere. read more

The food is good but that's about as best as it gets. Good food is absolutely nothing without good management, which this place lacks. The staff is horrible, rude, and extremely unprofessional. When I asked if he had my order ready, the staff responded "probably," without even checking for my order or getting my name. They took their sweet old time with making the order during peak lunch time traffic and the staff didn't give me my receipt nor confirm my identity when I came to pick up a large order. Furthermore, many of the orders were wrong and the salad was not properly washed. They also did not provide any utensils. I also love the mediterranean, plus or minus a few toppings, and a red based pie with lots of veggies and sausage. The last time I ordered the caesar though, I was disappointed. It was lettuce with dressing - no parm no croutons, nothing...and he didn't ask me if I wanted anything on it so I just went on to the register assuming he would top it off - not the case. A lot better than I expected. They have a good concept here, similar to Subway only with Pizza. Basically an assembly line. I ordered the combo where you get a salad, a personal pizza, and drink. You can order any toppings you want, with no extra charges. You can get a bread bowl for your salad, which they make and mix right in front of you. The pizza rides a conveyor through the oven, you can then order "magic dust", a mixture of Italian seasonings and Parmesan cheese, along with other different dustings. Service was fast and friendly, and pizza was great (I got an Italian sausage with red onion, normal sauce, deep crust. As I said, I was impressed and expecting Subway quality, but everything was delicious and far exceeded Subway quality. Another small note: they have one of those super fancy coke machines with the touchscreen where you can mix and match flavors. I always feel like I should try something fancy but I usually just stick with normal flavors. This time, I tried Coca Cola with Lime. A lot better than you think. read more
