If I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would. I called and placed an order at 10:44 AM for a small pizza scheduled for pickup at 11:30 AM because I was taking lunch to my kids' school. I even showed up at 11:39 AM, giving them an extra 9 minutes just in case. Guess what? Nothing was ready. The young lady at the counter told me there was no order ready and then said the manager was out doing deliveries. At that point, I only had 15 minutes left before I had to be at my kids' school. Because of their incompetence, my kids did not get lunch. To make matters worse, instead of apologizing, the when I called to speak to the manager, he actually YELLED at me. The nerve. This was my first time ever trying this place, and I was attempting to give them a chance. What a mistake. This establishment is unprofessional, disorganized, and incredibly rude. it's a shame to see this location go downhill, they used to be good when i was little but now the ingredients taste old, not the way they used to be. Shame on the manager for cutting corners by shortening the staff, they're overworked and tired and can't get things right because they'll only have two workers. I don't care if it's the middle of the week and things are "slow", you know well enough that there are random rushes during the week and should always be prepared for that. Had to end up driving there to see wtf was going on and get a refund. When my husband got to the store, there were two employees. No one would acknowledge him or the other patrons for 10 minutes. Marcos Pizza is delicious! The cheese is 100% natural...you can actually taste the difference! All of their ingredients are premium! You can taste the difference! I do have a difficult time ordering via the app...interface, IMO, is not as user friendly as it could be. Plus, I ordered a crust sauce on the pizzas I recently ordered and it wasn't applied. We have ordered from this location several times now. Delivery time is good. The amount of topping is excellent! But- a few times the dough has been undercooked. The bottom of the slices are really soft/thin/flimsy and the center of the pizza is like a slimey dough. If they could just cook the pizzas a little longer- These would be so great! Around McKinney, Marco's Pizza continues to be my favorite based on flavor, service and variety. I think I might still be a kid in that pizza is continues to be one of my favorite foods. With that statement, I have tried A LOT of pizza in and MARCO'S never disappoints. The cheese bread is awesome. It is like a thin loaf of bread with the perfect amount of cheese on top (thus cheese bread. ;) ). It comes with dipping sauce at no additional cost. The pizza is great too. My family particularly likes the sausage pizza. The crust is well cooked, but not dry and the toppings are not greasy like some other pizza places. The service rocks too. They have always confirmed and delivered the correct order both when I have delivery or in store pick up. Always ask about specials they are running as they will apply the best fit to your order. While there are lots of pizza options in McKinney, Marco's shines as a favorite. read more

Last night several neighbors in our McKinney Historic District hosted a music and social event at our local Veterans VFW Post 2150. We ordered 21 Pizzas! They were quite tasty and well received by all. Their delivery guy, Conner, was very helpful in helping me set up as was not quite ready. Although I order Marcos pizza all the time because they make a good pie, this last time was disappointing. I ordered from the camp wisdom in grand prairie, Tx. The salad for two for $7 had no lettuce in it and very few veggies but a ton of crutons and only 1 packet of dressing and no forks. The Wings for $9 were tiny. Young kids working there. Very, very good pizza! Place wasn't busy at all. Took 15 minutes to get pizza as we walked in and picked it up. The ingredients are the key to the bold flavor of this pizza. Not the cheap stuff you get from places like CiCi's or Little Caesars. The crust was slightly crispy on the bottom, and perfectly cooked. It had great flavor, reminiscent of a great pizza place I used to go to long ago. The first bite made my mind time travel. I will be eating here again! The finally, is the choice of "Crust Toppers," Garlic Butter, Roma Seasoning, or Parmesan Cheese basted around the ring of dough not covered by the toppings. It made those last bites delectable. I have only had 1 pepperoni pizza that was better than this, and it was wood fired. Wood fired pizzas are in a zone to themselves! We absolutely love this Marcos pizza location. Deliveries always arrive on time and we have never experienced any issues. We order once a week. We always order online and really like the option to schedule day/time. Today I was placing the order during a work call and mistakenly hit send before scheduling for later in the day. The order was starting to get processed. I called Marcos and explained the situation and gave them the time that I needed the pizza to be delivered. I didn't have to follow-up at all. Tried for the first time last night. One of my biggest pet peeves with customer service....walk up to counter and have the cashier say nothing, forcing me, the customer, to speak first. This happened here. I was also very disappointed with the food. The cheese bread had very little cheese and was more like eating flavored dough, not even worth eating.
