This is mine and my fiancé's go-to MOD location. They are consistent with the quality of their pizzas and staff is always nice. We ordered for pick-up last night and I always ask for 2 sides of ranch and their pesto (which is the best I've found, comparable to my mom's homemade pesto). I asked for 3 of each last night and noted that they can charge me if they needed to. A super kind employee added this note to our receipt which really made my day. I appreciate little things like that! I hope management can recognize the handwriting and give this employee a raise because it's little things like that that customers notice and appreciate. The pizza was good especially the crust. But, for a company who boasts they are about serving people, the customer service is terrible. The girl who greeted us today seemed to barely care that we were ready to order and she mumbled when she spoke. As our pizzas moved down the line, none of the other employees who helped add out toppings were also very disinterested in helping. No one was in line at the same time as us, but when we got to the register to pay, we had to wait for several minutes before someone came to ring us up. This store is incredibly disgusting and staff is unsanitary. Majority of the employees were not wearing gloves or handling customers food in a sanitary manner. When waiting for my pizza I noticed the employee working the oven was not wearing gloves and was touching customers food with his bare hands on multiple occasions. I watched this employee scratch his genitalia then proceed to touch the dough and toppings on my pizza multiple times. When I asked another employee if he should be wearing gloves he responded with "I don't know". I asked for my pizza to be remade. While I was waiting for my remade pizza I saw the same employee dig into his shirt, mouth, and scratch his genitals multiple times again and continue to touch customers food without gloves. I would've asked to speak to a manager but the person who appeared to be in charge was not helpful. She was more interested in letting off the clock employees or friends fold pizza boxes, openly mock costumers, and make disgusting remarks. My husband and I went to dine in this past Monday around 6pm. A few customers were in the restaurant. We love this location even though we drive much further than we need to. We have 2 much closer. We may have to reconsider. It was very disorganized and very dirty inside. Dishes stacked. Trash bins full, tables not wiped off. No utensils. Food on the floor. It was a mess. The young adults were very disorganized and I wanted a salad but the greens look like they had been sitting out for days. Not fresh at all. Didn't appear a store mgr or owner was there that day. Went for dinner and it was not busy, one family ahead of us and three girls working the line, score! This is going to go fast... FFW: 10 min later we were going through the line, very s-l-o-l-y. The reason: all the to go orders that were put in front of all of us despite the fact that we were there waiting. Once the first batch of orders was finished, the family before us placed their order, then another batch of to go orders and then finally US! From entering to paying, it took at least 15 minutes. So, if fast service is important for you, this is not it. The pizzas were good, a BBQ, one pizza of the month with Pumpkin sauce base and a DYI. All tasty with plenty of ingredients. Was hesitant about the pumpkin sauce, but I got to say it was very interesting and paired great with the spicy peppers and red onions, it had a hint of sweet but mostly you could taste the spices from it, like cinnamon and maybe clove. The cheese pizza was surprisingly plain because the tomato sauce lacked depth of flavor and salt, so be advised that you might want to add something else to up the flavor on that one. The salad we ordered was also the month's special, but unfortunately most of the arugula was yellow (the spinach was fresh and green), and it was overdressed. It was also a very small portion in a half full big bowl for $8. Because of the lack of freshness, size and price that is an item I would not order again. The natural drinks were amazing, we LOL at the fact that, what we all grew up knowing as a lemonade (water, cane sugar, lemon) is now a "Vintage Lemonade", appreciate the chuckle! That one and the blackberry were absolutely delicious! Highly recommend. This is a maybe for returning for us. Well, we've tried twice more since my first review because I have really been wanting MOD pizza. We tried the Allen store and it was closed at dinnertime with a "sorry for the inconvenience" sign on the door. And then today we tried this store in McKinney again - after calling first to be sure they were really open. There were three employees working and they were all moving extremely slowly. Little to no acknowledgement that the customers were even there. No one was addressing the people in line at all. One was pressing crusts very slowly and then wandered to the back (presumably for more dough) and didn't return. One seemed to be slowly making pizzas to fill (probably) an online or phone order. And one was working the oven...which didn't have much in it. Again, little to no acknowledgement of those standing in line. I want to start by saying the folks who helped us at this location were awesome. My family and I are vegan and love the quick option for a delicious hot vegan pizza that is only .5 miles away. Our pizza came out fast, together, with little to no wait. For as busy as it was these young kids had it together. I have nothing to negative to say about the staff and service at this location. Pro tip: ask them to put your dairy free cheese on first so everything doesn't fall off your pizza when you select your slice. VEGANS: I would like to point out a few concerning things that stood out to me. I think other vegans would appreciate. Especially when ordering to go. 1) The young lady asked me if she should change her gloves before grabbing my ingredients. I was super appreciative of her asking since her gloves were covered in feta or some other crumbly cheese. This only led me to assume this doesn't happen as often as we like to believe. Since the gloves are by the register. 2) When they cut your pizza. They use a pizza cutter that sits in a bin with other pizza cutters. There is no separate bin, color coat, or anything that indicated "vegan use only" I almost always get an upset stomach when ordering from here, and these reasons are probably why. I'm appreciative that companies are offering more plant based vegan options. However I still think these establishments need more education on expectations when it comes to these options. A lot of times we have to pay extra or wait longer for our food. So I expect a certain level of compassion when it comes to my food. read more

We come here all the time. I wasn't really hungry after devouring half a sushi restaurant earlier in the day (see my separate review for that), so I tried the Tristan with a few extra veggies on the cauliflower crust. It was better than expected. The crust doesn't rise, so it's more of a cracker consistency rather than dough, but it was pretty good. Looking at the menu, the cauliflower crust actually has 100+ calories more than the regular crust. Really?!?! How is that a thing? I mean, it was fine, but I'm clearly not vegan or vegetarian (have you seen my profile pic?!?!), so if I'm actually being more unhealthy by trying to be healthy, I'll likely stick with the regular crust. Can I give 0 stars? We went here tonight and it was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. They somehow mixed up all of the orders and didn't know who ordered what. We waited in line for at least 20 mins and then waited about 30 mins for our pizza. So much for "superfast." The restrooms and restaurant were very dirty, we couldn't even find a clean water cup that wasn't stained from a spill. Very slow-moving employees who didn't seem to care very much that their restaurant was falling apart. Little to no apologies for waiting, the complete disorganization, and burned cold wings. MOD is our family's go to place when we crave pizza. My favorite here is the pesto sauce, amazing! My husband comes here coz they have gluten free crust and he loves it no doubt about it. They have nice spread of sauces, toppings and definitely cooked to perfection in less time. MOD has also saved me so many times when I was in crunch of time. Reasons why I love MOD pizza: - Fresh (like extremely fresh) food - Inexpensive (I get the personal pizza for $8 and I always have enough to eat the next day) - I can get any amount of ANYTHING on my pizza (from extra ricotta and pesto, to artichokes and "sriancha" sauce) - $2 draft Tuesdays (my favorite beer is Blood & Honey, need I say more?) - Open kitchen (you can see the ins and outs of every inch of your pizza while it's being prepared, including while it's getting cooked in the oven - But I love MOD pizza the most because their customer service blows me away every time. I generally don't write reviews but my last two visits prompted me to get something on paper. On my last visit it was crazy busy. Amid the bustle of families and groups of 5 or more ordering pizzas, salads, garlic breads, and shakes, employees remained as they always are: energetic, genuine, and positive. At one point a guy even threw a temper tantrum because he had "waited too long". Still, the staff remained locked in, calm and focused on pushing orders out. My order of 3 pizzas and a garlic bread was ready within 15 minutes and a guy of named Nate, who was busting his butt on expo while also cooking the pizzas, chatted with me as I complimented his work ethic and positive attitude. This reminded me of the last time I had eaten there. It was 10 minutes before they closed and I dropped by hoping I wouldn't get too much of an attitude from employees who were ready to close up and go home. To my surprise, and unlike most restaurants I've visited right before close, everyone (I wish I would've asked their names) were beyond polite and patient as I made up my mind about which toppings to get. I even felt comfortable enough to grab a beer while I waited for my food, knowing I would have to stay a little longer while they began to close up. I feel like they are pretty similar, but when I went on a weekday night (wasn't busy), they were slower in service. They had run out of the white sauce in the front, so they had to go to the back and get more. Maybe the worker was new, but it took them awhile. Our friends who had just ordered before us already got their pizza when we were still waiting and customizing ours (build your own 11" pizza). The gluten free pizza crust was what one would expect of gluten free crust - it was a little hard and not as chewy/soft but I appreciated that MOD has that option available.
