Apple cranberry pecan salad
Azsure D.

Such a fun location! Best thing about Pie 314 (besides the solve for pie running around the room #STEM) is the fab cocktail menu. The Mixology is top notch. Not many places offer a Sazarac! Also they mane a GORGEOUS gin hibiscus drink with a hibiscus ice cube that dissolves as you sip, garnished with the most darling flower. They also offer a glam ladies night, and good Happy Hour pricing. The food is good. No true vegan options so I eat vegetarian here. Tonight I had this apple cranberry pecan salad, as did my gf (who added salmon). We both thought it was good but drowning in dressing. I will opt on the side next time. The pizza are good, as are the pasta. Also, this location hosts events by the Chamber of Commerce plugging itself into the community and branding itself as local.

Short ribs and blue cheese pie

The ambiance of the restaurant was very nice and cozy. The seating is pretty spacious. My mom and I came in for lunch and it was not very busy. We got the short rib pizza and cajun pasta. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The short rib pizza was definitely the star of the two dishes. We enjoyed the combination of the ingredients on the pizza. The unique combination of pizza ingredients options were what drew us to try Pie 314 in the first place. There was a nice balance of sweet and savory from the short ribs. I would definitely order this pizza again. The cajun pasta was alright compared to the pizza. We wanted to try an option that was not pizza, and honestly we should have stuck to the pizza. While the pasta was not bad, it was just not outstanding either. I can't wait to go back and try a different pizza next time.

Sangria

First time here but won't be the last! The employees (jake and Kyle) were very friendly explaining the fresh menu and specials. We enjoyed the stuffed mushrooms, pizza and refreshing sangrias, everything tasted wonderful.

We sat outside and our Server (Thomas) was also the bartender- he was great and super friendly with my kids. We tried the spinach and artichoke dip (2/5- it lacked flavor), the biscuits and brisket (5/5- amazing), a pasta dish I can't remember the name of (2/5- it also lacked flavor), & kids spaghetti & meatball (5/5- great red sauce). To drink we had mimosas to start and then switched over to the como la flor & an old fashion- all of the drinks were good. We would def come back for brunch and request to be in Thomas section again.

$2 for ice!

It was a busy night so the server took a while to take our order, however that was forgiven-able it's the burnt dry salmon and charging $2 for ice cubes in your drink for me!

Picked up a Togo pizza last night. It was yummy! You can't beat their $5 old fashioneds during happy hour. Also, they have such a great environment. Love coming here! Wednesday nights they have live music!

Stopped by for brunch and had a great experience. Everything is made fresh in house. $1 mimosa refills (with fresh squeezed juice). The food was delicious (we got Biscuits & Brisket and Sausage & Hash Skillet). The restaurant was clean and inviting. Everyone was very nice and our service was great. We will definitely be returning.

THE BRUNCH MENU IS A MUST!!!!! Went for the FIRST TIME today were pleasantly surprised. The food absolutely made this review higher, but the service was good also! We walked in and there wasn't a hostess to seat us (someone from the bar told us we can sit wherever we wanted). The place was not busy at all so we found a menu and checked the items first before the manager on duty (I assumed) came and told us everything is made in house/scratch. We decided to stay and sit in the covered patio at the front. The atmosphere was very relaxed, our table was clean and so were the silverware/ plates etc. Our server was really sweet and attentive and our orders came as we placed them (big plus in my book!) the only negative comment I'll write is that our first round of coffee wasn't hot (lukewarm at best) but when some of it spilled, the manager came and brought us FRESH, hot coffee. We got the "chicken & waffles" as well as the "biscuits & brisket" and I absolutely asked for a side of their bacon jam (WORTH IT!!!). Both dishes were absolutely delicious and huge portions (if your into sharing entrees, you totally can but for your first time got for different things and sample). Chicken was hot and crispy and the brisket was really good too (almost made like a chili?). The pictures were a little misleading about the amount the house made sausage gravy - they added WAY MORE than it shows on the menu. It was DIVINE, but too much of a good thing.. for us, it kind of drowned the taste of the waffle (so fluffy and light) and the biscuits (HOT and flaky). Next time we go, we plan on asking for the sauce on the side, or put halve of what they would normally put on the plate. I really wanted to try the bacon jam with the biscuit but the gravy made it super soggy (delicious, but all you taste is gravy. DO NOT MISS OUT ON THE BACON JAM!!! I'm drooling just remembering it as I post this! All in all - we were very happy with the food, service and overall experience. We will be going back for brunch and again to try their pizzas! This will be a staple date night place for us!

Chicken and waffles with sausage gravy

Came for brunch and it was tasty! Ordered their cinnamon rolls, crab stuffed mushrooms, brussel sprouts with balsamic vinegar, chicken and waffles smothered in sausage gravy, and chopped salad. All the food was super tasty! My only complaint was that it took almost 40 minutes for our food to come out. It was a packed house, a cowboy game was on and santa was there with his reindeer. I was just surprised the salad and brussel sprouts could t come out earlier since they seemed quick to make. I dont come down to the allen area often but would love to stop by again one day and try their delish looking pizzas! Loved the vibe, our waitress maddy was Awesome and the decor was nice. Highly recommend everyone check this place out!

We've tried a wide variety of items on the menu over the years, and everything has been consistently fresh, flavorful, and high quality. Whether we're stopping in for a quick bite or staying to watch a game, the food never disappoints. The beer selection is outstanding, with an impressive variety of draft and bottled options ranging from crisp lagers and wheat beers to IPAs, porters, and stouts. Fun tip - if you order a German beer, it's served in a traditional 0.5-liter glass, which adds to the experience. The atmosphere is exactly what you're looking for in a neighborhood sports bar. There are TVs everywhere, plenty of seating, and a lively but comfortable vibe that's perfect for catching a game with friends or family. They also host a variety of events throughout the year, making every visit a little different. One of my favorite nights is Pint Night, where you receive a complimentary pint glass featuring the selected beer with your purchase. It's a great promotion and just another reason we keep coming back. If you're looking for great food, an incredible beer selection, and a welcoming atmosphere, this place is hard to beat. It's our go-to spot in Allen, and I highly recommend it.

FOOD Loaded Tots…read moreBourbon BBQ Burger That's My Jam Burger Truffle Mushroom and Asparagus Flatbread The Loaded Tots were a bit on the underwhelming side. For $12.75 regular price it comes with very little. The cheese is also very concentrated to a small section and not as evenly spread out so most of it tasted like regular tots. Both the burgers were good though! The Bourbon BBQ burger has a good amount of bbq sauce that it isn't overwhelming or soggy. Very yummy combination. The That's My Jam burger has bacon, herb cheese, jam, arugula, and garlic aioli. It tastes super yummy and I love the extra sweetness from the jam that balances out any saltiness in the burger for an amazing combination. The Truffle Mushroom and Asparagus Flatbread was a bit on the salty side and didn't have that much mushroom so it was alright. Overall, the burgers are great here! Average per burger was $15-$16 but with the Happy Hour less and definitely worth it! SERVICE Service was a bit slow. It took a little bit of time before we got menus, drinks, and food and it wasn't too overly crowded. Our waitress was really sweet though. I do recommend coming during a happy hour time frame because it helps with the price (which I would say is a bit on the more expensive side).

The absolute standout was a new special, blackened chicken pasta. Three out of the six of us ordered it, and it was delicious. The penne was tossed in a creamy, lightly tomatoey sauce with sun-dried tomatoes, something between a cream sauce and a vodka-style sauce, rather than an alfredo or marinara, and the blackened chicken was really flavorful, perfectly cooked. Honestly, this dish needs to be a permanent menu item. I had the Caesar salad, it was good, a little heavy on the dressing, and my sister's garden salad was fresh and tasty. For dessert, the banana pudding was fresh and absolutely something I'd order again. Fries Oreos were kind of a fun novelty. Glad I tried them, but once was enough. Service was impeccable: friendly, warm, prompt. We left with leftovers, and since I was heading out of town, my sister was kind enough to take care of mine. Great meal, great service. I went with the meatloaf since I kept seeing people call it the best thing on the menu, and they were right. It came topped with that house glaze and a pile of mashed potatoes, and it honestly tasted like something my grandma would have put in front of me on a Sunday. We also tried the pot roast, which was fall apart tender, and made room for the cobbler at the end even though we were stuffed. Big portions, fair prices, and the service was warm without being over the top. There is a sweet little story behind the name too if you flip the menu over. This has quietly become one of our regular stops in McKinney and I do not see that changing, especially with the great service and atmosphere!
