I've eaten there twice, both sit down inside and to go at home, and it was the same taste and quality across the board. Awesome stuff, all the way around. Semi-rotating, seasonal menu, so call ahead to verify if thats important. They offer dine in and take out at the moment. Meatball grinder w/ basil gremolata, vodka penne with pancetta, papas bravas (amazing fried potatoes), burnt carrots w/lemon ricotta, and tiramisu all have been great. Call me pedestrian but the grinder is still my #1. Best part is its a bunch of dudes cooking with their hearts, and it all comes out in the food. Flavor 10/10 pretentious BS 0/10. No alcohol as of yet but they might allow BYOB, not sure. read more

I can't count how many times we've eaten at Picones and everything is always delicious. Burgers are fab and potatoes with it are tender and crunchy with great flavor. Chicken Parmesan is so good. It's likely my favorite no matter the sauce. Burnt carrots with the lemon ricotta are a must. Tony takes carrots to a whole new level! And then there are specials - always very creative and will never disappoint. All in all, our favorite dining out spot. And BYOB! read more

This place has the potential to be great. The food was good. It came out hot. The service was good. I wanted more water, but I couldn't ask for it because a rush of people came in and swamped the front. Maybe they need more help. Also, they don't have a drink fountain, so there are no refills or iced tea. Maybe that will come with time. The ambiance is lacking big time. I understand they must have just started up, but wow, this building is like a garage with plywood and spray foam holding it together. I really hope in the future they expand the menu. We came for lunch and my choices were: Italian / Cuban sub, chicken parm with red sauce, chicken parm with Alfredo, and a burger. That's it. Burger was good which is why they got 3 stars. Lack of options is a problem. I go to a place called Picones and expect Italian options and not just chicken parm. Don't get the hype. Had a chicken parm that was drowning in hot honey. The place was also dirty. Service was fine. I guess with the lack of good dining in Denton this might be someplace that's different enough to stand out. My kid did get a sandwich special that was much better than what I got. read more

Picone surprised me with delicious food and byow (bring your own wine) atmosphere. We started with the charred carrot for an appetizer and wow it was so delicious. I had the meatball sandwich. The meatballs were so delicious, but it was hard to eat it as the meatballs were huge--not the worst problem to have. My daughter had the hamburger and I took a bit and it was a good burger. My wife had the chicken parmigiana sandwich and it was so good, so everything we ordered was tasty. I will say as a family going there that there was no kid's menu, so if this is an issue for you be forewarned. It was a nice evening, so we ate on their patio, otherwise, seating can be limited. I had heard about PICCONE from several friends who raved about the food. We ordered takeout a few nights ago. We got the mozzarella salad, a ribeye steak w mashed potatoes and a grilled onion ( $47) We also added a chicken Parmesan with rigatoni pasta ($17$) . EVERYTHING was delicious. The steak was cooked med rare - perfectly like we requested. The chicken parm was very tasty. The service was great! What it doesn't have in ambiance is made up with high quality food! read more

So I've been dying to try this place as Boca is one of my favs in Denton (this is the sous chef). Came on a night they weren't even supposed to be open and had the only thing available: chicken sandwich. Made me want to burn Popeyes down like happened to Boca. So we went here because the food pics looked amazing and the 4.8 star rating. I'm hoping our experience was just a fluke but it was not good. I got the OG Fried chicken sandwich. The TOASTED bun was cold. The pickles had no taste. I dunno how that's even possible. The fried chicken was super small, way over cooked and quite honestly pretty tasteless. The fried potatoes that came with it were so over cooked that 3 of the 5 in the basket were burnt black. My wife had the Chicken Parm and she said it was good except again the chicken was super overcooked and you could definitely tell by just looking at it. Our friends had the Mac n cheese and the lasagna. She said her Mac n cheese was really good. He said the lasagna was ok but the portion was so small it looked like a kids plate. All that said, it's a neat little place. The employees were super nice but I dunno that I would go back again. I probably should give it 2 stars instead of the 3 I gave it. read more

Got the pork sandwich, chicken park sandwich, and roasted carrot delivered. All were fantastic and the potatoes are insane. You can tell everything on the (limited in a good way) menu is home made, thought out, and made with care. Everything tasted great and held up well through delivery. My new go to spot.
