I really hope in the future they expand the menu. We came for lunch and my choices were: Italian / Cuban sub, chicken parm with red sauce, chicken parm with Alfredo, and a burger. That's it. This place has the potential to be great. The food was good. It came out hot. The service was good. I wanted more water, but I couldn't ask for it because a rush of people came in and swamped the front. Maybe they need more help. Also, they don't have a drink fountain, so there are no refills or iced tea. Maybe that will come with time. The ambiance is lacking big time. I understand they must have just started up, but wow, this building is like a garage with plywood and spray foam holding it together. Zero ambiance, the ceiling was made of spray foam. Yellow spray foam. Overrated and overpriced. Cashier and servers were very nice, although ketchup does come in packets. read more

Don't get the hype. Had a chicken parm that was drowning in hot honey. The place was also dirty. Service was fine. I guess with the lack of good dining in Denton this might be someplace that's different enough to stand out. My kid did get a sandwich special that was much better than what I got. read more

Picone surprised me with delicious food and byow (bring your own wine) atmosphere. We started with the charred carrot for an appetizer and wow it was so delicious. I had the meatball sandwich. The meatballs were so delicious, but it was hard to eat it as the meatballs were huge--not the worst problem to have. My daughter had the hamburger and I took a bit and it was a good burger. My wife had the chicken parmigiana sandwich and it was so good, so everything we ordered was tasty. I will say as a family going there that there was no kid's menu, so if this is an issue for you be forewarned. It was a nice evening, so we ate on their patio, otherwise, seating can be limited. I had heard about PICCONE from several friends who raved about the food. We ordered takeout a few nights ago. We got the mozzarella salad, a ribeye steak w mashed potatoes and a grilled onion ( $47) We also added a chicken Parmesan with rigatoni pasta ($17$) . EVERYTHING was delicious. So I've been dying to try this place as Boca is one of my favs in Denton (this is the sous chef). Came on a night they weren't even supposed to be open and had the only thing available: chicken sandwich. Made me want to burn Popeyes down like happened to Boca. So we went here because the food pics looked amazing and the 4.8 star rating. I'm hoping our experience was just a fluke but it was not good. I got the OG Fried chicken sandwich. The TOASTED bun was cold. The pickles had no taste. I dunno how that's even possible. The fried chicken was super small, way over cooked and quite honestly pretty tasteless. The fried potatoes that came with it were so over cooked that 3 of the 5 in the basket were burnt black. My wife had the Chicken Parm and she said it was good except again the chicken was super overcooked and you could definitely tell by just looking at it. Our friends had the Mac n cheese and the lasagna. She said her Mac n cheese was really good. He said the lasagna was ok but the portion was so small it looked like a kids plate. All that said, it's a neat little place. The employees were super nice but I dunno that I would go back again. I probably should give it 2 stars instead of the 3 I gave it. read more

You can tell everything on the (limited in a good way) menu is home made, thought out, and made with care. Everything tasted great and held up well through delivery. My new go to spot. When I first walked in I was slightly taken aback as did not expect a small restaurant with a chalkboard menu on the wall. So glad I overcame my initial reluctance. The food was soooo good. We had the burnt carrots and burrata to share and I had the chopped cheese sandwich with crispy potatoes. I looked at my sandwich and said 'what???' - then I took a bite and said 'yes!!!'. Picone seriously has been our favorite spot since they opened. We first found them for their NYE burger special and have been hooked ever since then. So much so that my fiancé got the same burger they served on NYE last night. It's THAT delicious. Chef Tony is so sweet and genuine and greets customers when he can. His team is equally awesome with their kindness and care. When you first walk in, there's a refrigerator with canned sodas and sparking water and you order at the counter and take a number, that is unless it's a special occasion. We don't mind counter service at all. They still serve to your table when your order is ready. Every single item is beautifully plated, even if it's a pick up order. And you can taste the detail that Chef Tony gives each and every dish. It's a fun atmosphere with good music (sometimes live!) and just an all around good vibe. My fiancé and I noticed that every single staff member we saw genuinely seemed happy to be there which is often not the case in the service industry. If chef needed the order of tickets adjusted, that was corrected in a very respectful way. That's not the norm for a lot of chefs out there.
