Without a doubt the best Italian Restaurant that I have eaten at in years. The atmosphere is causal as is the dress code. This place is a little hard to find at first as it is tucked between a gas station and a Subway sandwich shop. It is definitely better to call ahead for reservations as they are always busy. The menu is varied, but has all the traditional Italian dishes all of which are delicious. Personally I would recommend either the Chicken Parmesan or the Lasagna, both of which are out of this world! Save room for dessert after the meal; you can't go wrong with the Tirumisu or my personal favorite cannoli. The portions served here may seem smaller than you are used to at other restaurants, but the food served here is quality and will satisfy you completely. The service was good but the food was okay. I was not impressed. We got the appetizer, the baked crab dip, which was okay, then we got our house salad with ranch which was good, lastly we got our lobster ravioli which in my opinion was not good. First there was literally barely any lobster in the ravioli for an $18 dish, second it was mostly all sauce. I felt like I was going to get sick because of how much they over did the sauce, but I guess that was to make it look like there was a lot more in the plate than there actually was. We did not take any leftovers home, and we had half of the plate left. My boyfriend got the full size for the lobster ravioli and I got the small, it looked like all they did was give him a bigger plate with the same amount of food. We came to this restaurant for dinner as we are in the area for my birthday weekend and a Hershey park trip for my kids. My husband picked this restaurant for my birthday dinner. Service was beyond terrible!! It took our waitress forever to greet us, bring our drinks, and my husband and mine dinner took forever. By the time it came neither one of us were hungry. Front hostess were rude and snotty. As a first time customer, and being there for a special occasion this establishment was a complete let down! Will not recommend and will not be returning. I ordered a ham and cheese and a cheesesteak sub. Paid $19.08 for both of them. I specifically said no sauce on the cheesesteak twice to the boy taking my order. I get the subs to go and when I opened the cheesesteak I notice it's made out of pizza dough which is fine for the most part, but sauce was all over it and it was soggy and the bottom of the sub looked completely slit open. Surprised to see this place neighbored a gas station. It is a very nice space with a pizza place on one side and regular italian restraunt on the other. The two spaces come together at a nice bar area where the hostess stands to greet visitors. We opted for the restrant because we wanted pasta. The waiter was very nice and attentive. I ordered the steak and blue cheese sauce fettuccine. The fettuccine and sauce were good. I would of enjoyed the steak more had it been a little less cooked. I've been to this establishment twice ever so far. Let me say from multiple experiences, this place does not disappoint. If I could give 6 stars, I would. On our most recent visit, which is the one I am currently writing this at, my mother and I both had wonderful meals. I had the chicken fettuccine alfredo. If you like Olive Garden's fettucine alfredo, prepare to have your socks knocked off by this stuff. The sauce was creamy and delicious, with a perfect richness. The pasta was pasta that you could tell was fresh, with a chewy al dente bite and a perfect egg pasta flavor. The chicken was also very fresh, and it is to my knowledge not frozen, which is always nice. It was seasoned beautifully and had good grill char marks. My mother had the eggplant parmesan toasted sub. She said that the bread was crispy and that the eggplant completely melted in her mouth. Other highlights include our very fresh house salads, our incredible meatball appetizer (which was also beautifully seasoned and cooked), and the amazing toasted garlic bread. This place also has a wide variety of deserts to choose from, all of which looked delicious. Another small detail that I noticed was the attentiveness of staff. A patron in the table behind us had a gluten allergy, and the staff and chef worked diligently to make sure this patron had the same experience as everyone else. Very good! As an Italian myself, I could not give this place higher praise. Come here with an empty stomach! Edit: Make sure to request Emily as a waitress. We visited Piazza Sorrento restaurant because of a recommendation from our son. We were greeted by a very nice and welcoming lady. We were taken to our table and Saryn greeted us there. She helped us, answering questions and bringing us rolls and butter. The rolls were hot and amazing. The food arrived, Salmon Risotto and the Italian Sampler, steaming and beautifully appetizing. My wife and I went here for Valentines day. We had reservations and we were seated promptly. Ordered up a bottle of wine and enjoyed the amazing crab dip appetizer. It was full of flavor and was piping hot! I got the full order of lasagna. It was easily the top three of all time I've ever had. The meat sauce was made from scratch and so was the pasta. It was amazing. My wife got the Italian sampler. Wow! What a lot of food! The real winner was the Alfredo. I've never had an Alfredo sauce. This good. I've been here about 4 times. It's a nice looking place inside in terms of it's weird location by the gas station. After the last visit, I'm probably not going to go back. The pizza was OK - not amazing. I can probably make better pizza at home. The reason I'm going to skip it as an option is because I didn't like the way the guy behind the counter was looking at me and my husband when we were placing our order. It was rather odd and I don't seem to recall experiencing this type of behavior anywhere else. In my previous visit, a different guy behind the counter was flirting with the two girls in front of me for an excessively long time before bothering to look at some of the rest of us waiting in line. They should try to be a bit more professional with their customer service if they want more solid business. Also, if there aren't a ton of people in your restaurant, you could at least acknowledge people walking in and say thank you when they leave. read more

Piazza Sorrento is a great little place to eat. Friendly staff and wonderful food. To top it off if you or anybody in your party has to eat gluten free this is hands down the best gluten free experience I have ever seen. My son has to eat gluten free and when we told the staff they presented him with his own special gluten free menu. This alone was a great start, but to really top it off I compared the gluten free menu to the "regular" menu and they were nearly identical. Only one or two dishes (out of maybe 30) were they not able to make gluten free. They even have gluten free beer. My entire family thought highly of both the gluten free food and the regular food. Every time we go here there is a problem. ONe time they were out of shrimp and we complained and the manager emailed us and said they would send us a gift certificate to make up for this....we never got it. What restaurant runs out of shrimp at the start of the dinner hour? The next time the waitress forgot our appetizers and then tried to charge us for them. The last and final time was at Christmas time. The restaurant was half empty and yet we still had to wait 60 minutes for a table because they were short staffed while the hostess sat and read magazines at the seating desk. My family and I visited this place for dinner when visiting Hershey Park. We had arrived a day early to do some shopping at the local Tangers Outlet and then decided to do Italian for dinner. Very good food and service. Here is what we ordered and my take: I had Tour of Italy: Very good. Better than Ive had before. Cheese and sauce and pasta were all very delicious and the portions were very generous My wife had the lobster ravioli: I had some and it was above average but I guess not enough lobster lol My mom had the clams with white wine sauce. Was about average. The kids had plain old mac and cheese with fries and spaghetti and meatball. Were good as they finished all! We also had 2 appz: a shrimp thing I forgot and a mussels with red sauce. Both were good but the mussels honestly were not as good as Bonefish Grille's Josephine style. Hey the taste is in the mouth of the beholder no? Our server was Robyn and she was very good. Recited the day's specials and soups etc. We enjoyed our dinner so much that we did take out for dinner two days later when were at Hershey Park. Piazza Sorrento had a full dinner menu with the works and a take out menu with mainly pizzas and subs. We did subs and they were very good. My brother in law and sister in law went to pick up the food and we ate just outside HP on a nice bench enjoying our food and the scenery. Will definitely be back again when we visit HP. read more

Yuk! Why can't I leave a zero. One star is way too high! Not only was the food bad the service was even worse. Jimmy our waiter said the kitchen "lost" or order I think it was Jimmy that lost it. Whatever, doesn't matter our food took forever and we weren't the only table. When the food did arrive it was cold and was just ok. Our meal culminated at 3:30 when our daughter threw up. Yuk!
