Ever since I saw their Tik Tok, I have been wanting to try them, because Kare Kare is my favorite Filipino dish! They are at Pour Decisions at Fremont this past weekend which was perfect. I got Kare Kare and Sinigang wings and my partner got Bicol Express and Kare Kare wings, and we shared a sinigang fries. The Kare Kare wings came with a little container of bagoong which I had with each bite of the wings. The Kare Kare was okay, I was kind of expecting more flavor. Still good nonetheless. I had a bite of my partners Bicol Express wing and that one was so good, really tasted like home cooked Bicol Express with the amount of flavor it had, my partner agreed. Now, for the sinigang fries and wings - If you don't like your regular sinigang soup sour then you might think the wings and fried will be too much. I love sour stuff and sour sinigang. I usually put 2 packets of the sinigang mix in my cooking. The wings and fries were really sour, like doused in that sinigang mix sour. If you're not into that then maybe skip on the sinigang wings and fries. They have different types of fries too, not just sinigang. I didn't mind the sourness because like I said I like the sour, but after a while it does get too much. I'm hoping to catch them again so I can try the other stuff on their menu. read more

I had people tell me mixed reviews about this place, and I had to check it out myself. On IG all great reviews, soo why did it taste horrible? It was a salt bomb! I tried the following flavors: - Bicol Express -Sisig - Arroz Caldo - Sinigang I can wholeheartedly say these wings are salty AF. They do not represent the flavor of the dish at all. It's a good thing they are next to the Emergency Department, because if you have hypertension, heart failure, this food will have you admitted. The Bicol express wing, yes there is coconut flavor and spice, but there was no balance, it was just so salty! The sisig wings, did not at all taste like sisig flavor, putting red onions and green peppers does not make it sisig. Also it's salty! The sinigang wings, you guys do a great job to hide all the other flavors except salt. There was no balance. The arroz caldo wings, was the saltiest of them all. It wasn't even edible to eat. It was that salty! Where was the ginger? Where was any other flavors except salt? This cost roughly $50 dollars, it's not worth it, the hype is not real. read more

8.11.26 There was a line and it was moving at a slow pace. One of the guys came out and said the wait will be an hour. That wasn't a problem for me as this was my first time trying their food. I ordered the 8 piece box with sinigang and kare kare flavored wings. The wait turned out to be about 30 minutes. The kare kare wings was just peanut sauce with pieces of peanuts and the sinigang was just lemon juice and it came with a side of Bagoong. I love the calamansi ranch dip! Currently located in the Seton hospital parking lot, their truck offers a unique filipino twist on the classic wing. We tried the sinigang dry rub and the saucey kare kare wings, an order of lumpia, and the bistek fries. They also have rice and a few specialty drinks available like calamansi iced tea and a white rabbit boba drink. The flavors were good but a little too salty for my taste. I preferred the kare kare over the sinigang rub. The fries were a steep $20 but was actually quite filling. Been wanting to try these wings and OMG prob the best Filipino style wings ever. We ordered online in advance and did a pick up to avoid the long lines. Made rice and ate it at home. The sinigang wings were so unexpected but def had the delicious lemony taste that makes you wince and pucker up your lips! The adobo wings were fricken amazing and the fries were to die for. Def need the rice to offset the salty flavor. The only thing I would suggest is to have a side of salad, veggie like atchara (carrot type salad) to balance the flavors. I finally tried the wings here! There were benches and tables in an open air setting. Got the Sinigang and Kare kare combo. Both tasted good! I am filled with a few wings left over for later. The wings were delicious, the lumpia hit the spot, and the boba was refreshing. I got 8 wings combo with kare kare and adobo which didn't make it home unfortunately. Smell was intoxicating and I had to pull into a parking garage and devour them. Was a little thirsty so I began drinking my Calamansi boba tea and damn did it hit the spot. We really wanted to support this Filipino-owned truck and drove from San Mateo just to try it. Sadly, the customer service left a bad impression. Despite being the only customers at 2 PM, we waited at the window for over 5 minutes without a single greeting or "we'll be with you shortly" while the staff talked in front of us.As for the food, the regular wings were decent, but the sinigang wings were far too sour to eat, tasting as if too much powder packet seasoning was dumped on them. We ended up throwing them out. We also felt that $1.70 for a half-empty extra sauce was too expensive. I hope management takes this as constructive feedback to train their staff on basic hospitality and fix the seasoning balance. read more

We got the kara kara wings and it was pretty good. The best part was Calamansi ranch. That stuff is like crack with the chicken wings. Really slooooow service. We waited in line for 1.5 hours. We stayed because we were only the 8th in line and we still waited for 20mins after they got our orders! As a lover of all things chicken wings, I knew when I saw all the Filipino inspired wing flavors, it was an easy sell for me. We caught them at Off the Grid Fort Mason, and while the food took long, it was worth the wait. The Sinigang wings were hella hella good. While it reminded me of a more lemon forward, salt and pepper flavor, it was still the best thing we ate at OTG. For 8 wings, it came out to be around $20 with tax and tip. The wings were a good size and came out piping hot, so you know they were fresh. These are the type of wings that if you ate them cold later in the night, they'd still be really good. Stopped by a recent pop up with my girlfriend. PI Wings are up and coming in the chicken wings space. One of the host shared a quick backstory of how PI Wings was founded -- which is essentially a story of friends, friends who turned into brothers who fostered a community of love for good food. The wings are not offered in your traditional flavors but because it's unique and unconventional -- it separates them from the rest. How many times have we been able to compare a Wing Stop to another Wing Stop? Not too many times, right? It's because we know what to expect and the standards are already preset. In this case, PI Wings could definitely be remembered for its distinctive flavors and creativity. I commend this group of people for thinking outside the box and being bold for trying something new and different. I saw this at the UNDSCVRD event in SF. I accidentally got the menu confused and ordered "adobo fries" thinking the sauce could go on the fries -- the owner / chef was super accommodating and said he'd try it out and make it anyway. I'm soooo glad he did because it was BOMB. I finished the whole thing with my friend within 10 minutes. It's like an upgraded Filipino version of poutine -- or like when you pour Jollibee gravy on your fries but even better They mentioned they might put it on the menu and I hella approve of it!! read more

The chicken at PI wings is much more juicy, flavorful and way less greasy than all other chicken places I've experienced. Came to try their wings during Takeover Tuesdays over at the mochi donut shop Daly City. Place is really clean and cute with the decor and all the plants.I've tried all of their flavors. Sisig, sinigang, arroz caldo, adobo, bicol express, kare kare, & palabok. My favorite is the sisig & sinigang. Sinigang is chef's kiss with that hot rice. The staff are great! Really friendly and ready to educate you about all the different flavors. Parking can be challenging if you can't catch parking in the front. PI Wings is a Filipino inspired chicken wing run by Eric and his best friend Eric . Eric started PI Wings with his brother Glen and they stopped the business, but Glen passed away on 10/7/17. Eric took it upon himself to continue their legacy to introduce the Bay Area peeps to Filipino flavors on chicken wings with Eric shortly after. So hows their wings? Adobo: Adobo is the Philippines national dish that offers a Sweet & sour garlic soy flavor. Really strong & bold flavors. Garlic soy on a chicken wing is always a safe bet. Arroz Caldo: Lemon pepper ginger sauce that has a big twang to it! I could definitely taste that hit of lemon and that ginger! When I came by it was cleaned out and i got the remaining droplets of arroz caldo sauce but it packed quite a hit. Bicol Express: Spicy coconut creme sauce and possibly my favorite of the bunch. The flavor was a bit more subtle but I loved the richness of that coconut creme with a kick of spice. Reminded me of a coconut curry. Kare Kare: Sweet savory peanut sauce, and everyone knows how obsessed I am with peanut sauces. The filipino take on peanut sauce is rich, earthy, slightly sweet and more mild than I'd have thought. Sinigang: Sour savory tamarind sauce, out of all of the sour sauces their sinigang is my aboslute favorite. Tamarind is a highly underrated ingredient and this sauce was executed well Sisig: Spicy citrus soy sauce with calamansi and chilies. This one packed quite a punch of flavors and stood out among all the more subtle flavored wings. PI Wings definitely gave me a unique chicken wing experience. If you guys ever catch them at their next pop up you have to try their bicol express, sinigang, and arroz caldo those were my absolute favorites. What are you waiting for? Go Try them out! read more

Adobo Wings? Say no more! I found these guys at the Hella Poppin' Pop Ups Vendor Event at the Cow Palace and although the taco truck was calling my name, I've had tacos before...I've never had Filipino inspired wings before! I knew I was going to get Adobo for sure since it's my favorite dish ever at Filipino restaurants. I asked the guy working what's the next popular one and he said the Lemon Pepper Ginger which is about to be sold out, so I said I'll take it! You get to choose 2 flavors for your 10 wings ($15). Although, I wish the wings were a bit more on the crispy side, the flavor is definitely there. Very saucy. This place has a lot of potential because it's not only tasty, but the concept is unique.
