Had an excellent first experience there today. Registered online before visiting the office so I was in their system before arriving. Kind, compassionate, staff, and very clean facilities. Dr. Horner was fantastic. Personable, engaging, and kind. He listened to me and took my opinions seriously (I was raised by a nurse and do a lot of self-diagnosis). I'm only disappointed that they're not functioning as a primary care facility yet, because I would certainly choose Dr. Horner as mine. read more

I came back here in November complaining of a pain in my side and their suspicions about it were completely right. They told me I needed to go to the ER and even helped me find one that was close by AND they called the ER for me to check on the wait times. I was admitted to the ER immediately thanks to them and ended up having emergency surgery. I can't thank them enough for their kind care and extreme helpfulness. read more

***This review is for Immediate MD Billing Department and not for this clinic location. I chose to leave a review here as there are recent responses from the owner and Customer Service*** I am having a horrendous experience with Immediate MD. I had pneumonia last September/October and got appropriately treated by Immediate MD specialists. Upon receiving a bill from Immediate MD last November, my husband called in and provided our payment information. It is now February and it STILL hasn't been processed!! Upon calling back the Billing Department the first time after giving our payment information, we inquired why they had not processed our payment. The representative was puzzled and told us that all our payment info was in the system. We asked if it somehow was declined (knowing there was no way it should have been), and she said no - it would be completely different in that case. She said our payment info was entered but simply not processed. She assured us she would now process it and it would no longer be a problem. But that didn't happen. We kept receiving bills and nasty mail with threats from Immediate MD Billing Department to send my bill to a collection agency. We've been calling them regularly since November and every week (sometimes even more than once) in the past few months. I spoke to multiple people and all of them were sending my account for a review to their supervisor and promised to call back with the result. None of them called me back, except for one lady that I spoke to today but she doesn't have it resolved either. Today I've found out from the representative that my bill got sent to a collection agency but "they will stop it". This is absolutely unacceptable and very frustrating! To have my payment information the whole time but never process it and then send the bill to a collection agency without even checking??? I am very disappointed and absolutely discouraged from ever using their services again. read more

This place seams to be more motivated with pumping out pricey covid tests than they do about the actual wellness of their patients. After asking some generic questions about symptoms over an intercom they made we wait outside in the frigid cold and register myself over my phone before I could enter the waiting area. I wasn't even there for Covid but because there just so happens to be overlap between Covid symptoms and every other illness out there I was treated like a contagious liability with no actual thought to my well being. I realize everyone is scared of Covid and they are being precautious but it just seam unethical to me to have someone in need of medical attention trying to fill out important health information in the freezing cold when there is an open waiting room available. read more

I was in Chicago for a business trip when I got hit with one of the worst migraines I've had in years. It took 24 hours before I was able to get out of bed, but as soon as I could move, I made my way to this clinic where I was taken care of by the most caring, empathetic, and kind health care providers. They were efficient and thorough and gave me exactly what I needed to feel better within a few hours. They didn't rush me and encouraged me to stay and rest as long as I needed. I would've never survived an emergency room experience in the state I was in, so this urgent care center was a lifesaver. I highly recommend them. read more

This was an excellent healthcare experience. I worked in a major hospital for many years and my standards are high. Immediate MD was 'immediate', minimal paperwork or insurance process, friendly front desk and attentive medical care with attention to saving my money with an over the counter product that would work as well as a prescription, printout of all summary & findings and my x rays given to me on disk without requesting. Dr Feldman was thorough, efficient and communicative. Sept 1, 2017 Cut my finger with a hand-held blender, bleeding like crazy! I went right over to Immediate, got in immediately. DO NOT GO HERE. The urgent care will take FOREVER (I had to miss SEVERAL classes because the wait time took well over an hour). The three times I went here they did random cultures on me that I felt were unnecessary (2 flu cultures even I told them I had been sick for a while, had green snot and was convinced I had a secondary sinus infection... I was right and then they superscribed antibiotics). But then guess what? They coded it wrong to my insurance and are charging me $138. for an "office visit" instead of "emergent." Called my insurance and yes, they coded it wrong, but the office worker, Ashley, is refusing to admit it was coded wrong on their end. The first time I went I was having issues with my breathing due to having a cold for over two weeks, I could feel it in my lungs and all the energy had left me. I had a feeling it was pneumonia or bronchitis and so my boyfriend dragged me to this urgent care and the physician, don't remember who, said it was probably just mucus and that I need it to be broken up my a nebulizer machine. So they pulled out their machine and used the nebulizer on me. After 20-30 minutes they were like "how do you feel? the same? Oh, it's probably bronchitis." They prescribed the necessary meds and inhaler. But I had to pay a crap ton of money for that stupid "non-emergent" nebulizer treatment. The second time I went, was the time they coded my visit as "non-emergent." I was convinced it was a secondary sinus infection due to my symptoms and needed antibiotics. Dr. Gazzi however, was sure and tested the flu A and flu B cultures on me. And guess what...? They coded it as non-emergent and charged me! And I did have a sinus infection and then received the proper meds. The third time I went, I was convinced I had strep throat because I had all the symptoms including white spots on my throat, and one side of my throat was so swollen I could hardly talk. Dr. Strange was a JERK to me and basically told me I didn't know what I was talking about and that I probably just had a cold. A cold that gives you white spots?? I was persistent and asked for a strep culture but he also tested me for another bacterial culture without my permission... which of course I had to pay extra. Turns out it was some strange infection from I don't know what, but he basically prescribed me aspirin. He was a total jerk to me and made me feel really stupid for being concerned about my health. Bottom line, their office staff sucks and handles the insurance codes incorrectly, and their doctors are either really rude or they will do a bunch of costly "procedures" on you that you didn't even ask for. Don't go here, their are a ton of nicer urgent cares in Chicago. read more

I woke up early one morning with sudden abdominal pain and rushed into this facility to figure out the cause. After a great appointment with Dr. Kathya Valdez, we discovered it was likely appendicitis. I followed her directions, went and got a CT scan to discover that I indeed needed an emergency appendectomy. Dr. Valdez was super nice and helpful - she even called ahead to the ER to inform them of my arrival. Everything following was pretty seamless, and the staff at Immediate MD followed up with me the day after surgery. Considering I don't live in Chicago and these were not *my* docs, I felt very taken care of. I am so grateful to Dr. Valdez! read more

I am in love with this place! The receptionist was kinda rude at first but when I sassed back at her she straightened up. There is no parking which kinda sucks (paid only). BUT it is WORTH IT. I have been to many many many doctors for a car accident neck injury and this is the first place that took actual care of me. Dr. Valdez is the one I would recommend to see. She took amazing care of me and took the time to find out what was wrong, and them offer VALUABLE feedback and out of the box solutions. She is knowledgeable and hardworking. The nurse on day shift is very rude. I was on the time crunch, communicated as I entered and she purposefully and rudely tried to lengthen the process of checking on time basic information such as an interval required time between two TB tests. Yesenia went out of her way to be abrupt and rude and useless. I take my business somewhere else because, please be aware that medical records are of utmost importance and from the nurse behavior displayed today, I can't trust this office staff / this specific nurse anymore. Doctors at this office are very thorough and caring. It's sad that they have Yesenia S working there along great doctors. read more

This place is a money grabbing scam. I literally had to discontinue my medication cold turkey because I could not afford frequent (and completely unnecessary visits), and the physician wouldn't prescribe me with more than one refill at a time in an attempt to manipulate me into coming back. To top it off, the billing department sent all bills to the wrong address, so I'm now dealing with debt collectors for a bill I've never received. Avoid this scam at all costs. read more

I went to this place and I met dr Ghazzi because I was having a painful digestion since few weeks ago. When I described my symptoms she said that I have stomach acid and told me that I need acid relievers. I told her immediately that I have intolerance to this class of medicines and two years ago I have been two times at the ER after consuming Protonix and Famotodine, and few days ago my boss had to call an ambulance at work because I was going to pass out after taking Mylanta. They cause a diarrhea, skin rash, very high blood pressure, dizziness, and difficulty breathing. She insisted that I have to take acid reliever and sent me to the pharmacy to buy Prilosec and Tums. I did it and I got back to her office. I took just one pill Prilosec and it made me feel sick. She immediately checked my blood pressure that raised significantly and my pulse jumped from 75 to 105. When she saw the reaction she told me to stop taking any medicines and to make a diet of eating oatmeal and non acidic fruits. So I paid $130 to be sent home with a diet of oatmeal because I don't have insurance! Few days later I called to ask for a GI referral and for some reason they refused to give it to me. So how come you are unable to help a patient but at the same time you don't want to refer it to a specialist? I have only one word for the "doctors" working in this office: MORONS! P.S. And no, dr. Ghazzi, I don't have panic attacks. I got my referral along with a full blood test from a different clinic. And you better throw your doctor's degree in the garbage. read more

I went this past weekend, because I was had sinus pain, and severe migraine headaches. The facility was clean, and cozy, and the staff was very attentive and helpful. I filled out my paperwork, and had zero wait time from the nurse, and Dr. Ghazzi. Dr. Ghazzi put me on antibiotics for the sinus infection, and some medication for the headaches, and I feel 100% better. Nobody likes feeling sick, but Dr. Ghazzi, and the staff did an amazing job getting me back on my feet. read more

I am so disgusted and repulsed by Physicians Immediate Care. I do not when those doctors, nurses and administrative staff lose your compassion but my God, do you lose it. Went to your 121 West North Avenue Chicago office, scared and concerned, and did indeed meet with what I thought at the time was a great doctor and nurse Chelsea. However, the next day, when I had reactions to the medications and called the office, I got a lot of mixed messages that clearly said, "we don't care". I made another appointment to see the doctori a few days later (I was very willing to pay for it) and after it was confirmed, someone calls to cancel and change it without even asking me why I made another appointment. I was so upset and cancelled it and said I will look for another doctor. All she could say was "we are sorry to lose you as a client" but nothing more and i have never heard back from the doctor All I can say is shame on the organization and the so called medical and administrative professionals that work there. Totally secure that this message will get bypassed by the company, I will use every form of social media to let people know of my individual experience at PHYSICIANS IMMEDIATE CARE. I went there for my Pre-employment physicals and I have to say the physicians and doctors were amazing there! They were friendly and answered every questions I had.Most importantly,the price is transparent and I feel the service is worth the price. Compared with my last physical experience in Walgreen (they charged me 226$ for just simply physical examination while it says 75$online) I believe MD is a good medical place for the neighborhood. The total for my DCFS medical report was 140 included Tdas vaccine, TB test and normal physical examination. Moreover, the online appointment system is simple and easy. Just downloaded 3 forms and you can schedule your visit easily without standing in a long line. read more

Waited 1 hour in waiting room that's freezing because door to the office doesn't shut. After already 1 hour I was taken back by a sloppily dressed nurse and told at least another 45 min wait ( mind you I'm the only one in waiting room at moment and there were just 2 people waiting before me and the nurse takes my vitals to "save time" which she scribbles down on a post it note?!! Why is it not being written directly into my file? Then I'm directed back to the freezing lobby to wait. I mentioned that it would be helpful to have known I had to wait 2 hours when I signed in so I could have the option to go somewhere else and there wasnt any explanation other than some mumble and shrug .I also don't like them holding my card with pin # on file in order to be seen. I'm happy to pay for services but it seems sketchy. Also before a dr even saw me they tried to give me an ekg, I have chest congestion, I refused saying I'd like to have a dr actually see me before I start paying for expensive heart monitoring tests which feels reasonable. read more

I had a great experience here! It's easy to register online before your appointment (you still have to fill out a few forms when you get there) but it was very smooth and I was seen right away. I went right after they opened and I was the only one there (I think it's a new place, so that might be why too). Clean, nice waiting room with keurig and other snacks/refreshments and a TV playing the news. They did a rapid strep test right there and the doctor came in right away. She was very nice. Said they'd call in 2 days to follow up. No complaints so far! read more

I needed help with an injured wrist. I felt I just needed an x-ray and an opinion on what was revealed by the image and evaluation. Everyone there,Tom, at the desk, Andrea, the x-ray tech and Dr Ferrone, was helpful, thorough and professional. I now know that my wrist issue isn't too serious and I have a brace which is helping to stabilize it. I arrived at about 3:30 and left by 4:40. Great experience! read more

I came in here 30 minutes before close because my boyfriend had suffered from a painful rolled ankle. The facility was clean and all the staff were incredibly nice! Tom assisted my boyfriend in a physical check and then proceeded to properly wrap his broken ankle. Tom was super attentive, caring, and willing to put some humor into the situation which was greatly appreciated! Dr. Annie was awesome as well! She recommended x-rays and then walked us through the entire process that would occur moving forward. We ended up staying 30 minutes past close and did not feel rushed or unwanted. All members of the staff were willing to stay until we felt comfortable with the situation. I HIGHLY recommend coming here for any immediate medical needs. read more

I went to this Immediate Care this morning. I was desperate for some medical assistance- I am just overcoming the flu, now battling shingles on my eye lid and have a sinus infection, needless to say, I felt absolutely miserable and helpless. I walked right in this morning and was seen in less than 15 minutes (brief paperwork and three other patients in front of me). The nurse who called my name and took my vitals was professional, knowledgeable and super sweet - I was impressed with her level of care, skill and sincerity. Dr. Gazzi came in soon after and she was fantastic- super thorough, attentive, compassionate and intelligent. She knew exactly what was going on, diagnosed my symptoms, and sent me to the pharmacy across the street. I was out in less than 40 minutes and I'm already feeling better as the day progresses - this place is a god send if you are sick, need medication fast and want proper care by highly trained professionals and excellent customer service from administrative staff. read more
