My friend and I went here for dinner in Friday evening. We both got pho. We wanted to try this place out again since there is a change in ownership recently. The menu is different. We both like the pho here. It has great flavor. The portion is enough for us both to be full. There are a few other noodle options, hopefully there will be bun Bo hue and bun rieu in the future. We visited Phoenix Cafe for lunch today. The owner welcomed us with a warm smile. The restaurant was quite small but cozy and adorable. They have a good menu with great variety from Pho, other noodles dishes and rice dishes. I ordered Pho Dac Biet, and my partner got the Com Ga Xoi Mo ( crispy chicken with fried rice). When the owner brought out the Pho bowl, it smelled pretty good. Pho broth was really flavorful, brisket was tender 8/10. I hadn't eaten Com Ga Xoi Mo at Viet restaurant for a long time. I gotta say they really nailed both the flavor and texture of the chicken 8/10. Both of the owners were very sweet to us. They also gave us sweet potatoes shrimp cake to try. We'll definitely gonna come back to support when I am lazy to make viet food. Highly recommended. read more

We finally got here! The owner was very helpful, explained all the dishes, so we could decide. I had one of the Bun (vermicelli noodles) dishes, Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio. This came with a very tasty egg roll on the dish. The rice noodles were tender, the vegetables fresh, and the grilled pork was seasoned perfectly. Not spicy, but very flavorful, and a huge portion. My friend had a fried rice dish-Com Chien Duong Chau. It had lots of shrimp, sausage, roast pork, vegetables, and also a huge portion! We've saved a menu so we can check a few more things off the list. The restaurant is a small storefront, with 6 tables, very pleasant and clean. I'm glad we have a great place in the area for Vietnamese food. We'll be back! read more

Man what a lunch I've had today. The waitress was so sweet and hard working she got to us very quickly and had no problem with getting us extra napkins and water. Inside was very small but plenty of room but you can most definitely smell the rich aroma coming from the food! Our spring rolls were delicious and it was big enough to make it filling. But the #22 was absolutely delicious man what can i say something bad about it. The rice was amazing and has great seasoning and the chicken is fried and it came out crispy, juicy and well seasoned! Went here for lunch and man this single experience made my whole day and was definitely worth it! I'll be back! read more

Decided to try this place out with my buddy, nice local vietnamese spot. I ordered the #19 and my buddy got the phó. Everything was good but it could be better. I was supposed to have an egg with my plate but that's okay, I also have a weird reaction to some veggies so I said no veggies; they put green onion on my rice. As for silverware, they should stick to metal instead of plastic since it was hard for me to use with the meat. They also should provide napkins at every table as I didn't see any. This cute place is in a strip mall off Telegraph. We enjoyed the Pho, Potstickers , and Hu Tieu (a seafood soup with noodles) at lunch. Everything was delicious. I appreciated the fact that the menu has some great photos of the food. Service was quick and friendly. Portions are large enough to share and reasonably priced. First time for a PHO bowl and it was delicious. They took time to explain the dishes and inquired several times if the food was all right. It was more than all right it was delicious. The food was great. I got my first experience with tripe here. While the idea of it was gross in my head, it tastes pretty good. The waitress we had was awesome, very friendly, and knew how to give recommendations.
