I had an very good experience ordering take out from Dragon's Place, and I definitely recommend that you give it a try! We ordered Chicken Teriyaki, Orange Chicken, fried rice, and the gyoza. As you see in the pictures, the portions are very generous and you will definitely have left overs. The prices very affordable especially considering how much food you get. This is not gourmet Chinese food, so it competes with other strip mall joints and Panda Express, but beats most (if not all of them) in St. Louis. We spent about $35 for a lot of food. I will dock them one star because they had not prepared 2-3 of the items on their menu that I initially wanted, but the entrees that I did order was delicious. The gyoza were not my favorite. They were kind of bland, but the kid loved them. They're not bad, but nothing too flavorful or exciting. If you are looking for Chinese take out, I definitely recommend this place. I also want to address a comment made by another reviewer, who was displeased that their Chinese food was made by Mexican workers. YES, this place is owned and operated by a Mexican family. A little hidden gem I found the other night. Tucked away on Meramec street I was driving by and decided to stop in. Had the garlic shrimp, rice, egg roll, OC(yah I was basic a little bit), and crab rangoons. Very cheap! $6.50-7 for entree which comes with the rice + egg roll or Rangoon! Open late! This place is the best. It has HUGE entree potions, and it's perfectly prepared American Chinese food. General Tso's was incredibly crispy and the sauce was on the thicker side so it clings to the meat and doesn't just pool in the bottom of the box. The flavor was also on point. The pork fried rice uses onions and scallions and is very well seasoned (they were even accommodating and made it spicey). They don't use those gross frozen peas and carrots. The crab Rangoon was also very crispy with a filling that tasted fresh and not frozen. The portion of Generals was HUGE. Plenty for two meals. The quality and freshness of this place blew me away, especially because it was delivered! (And I dont live super close by) If they can keep my Tso's and Crabby Rags crispy and hot upon delivery you better believe I'll keep eating here for a long time. Go get some! read more

We tried it for the first time because once again one of our friends that tastebuds CLEARLY doesn't work referred this place to us. First when we pulled up, some suspicious characters started circling our vehicle, but I keep my personal protection with me at all times. So the location already had me nervous. 2ndly, the food didn't take that long. The St. Paul's were a nice size, but they tasted like paper. I seriously had to add seasoning to it and recook it on the stove because I couldn't continue to eat such a tasteless thing. The crab Rangoon was good, I popped them in the air fryer which made them taste better. The meat combination plate seemed to be reheated or something because it was not fresh. So end result......We came, we saw, we ate and it's a no for us. Not to be an *sshole or anything, but when I go to a Chinese restaurant, I expect to CHINESE people cooking the food. Not a Mexican person cooking, to me that makes no sense. Just like if I go to a soul food restaurant... I want to see soul food people, not some other nationality. Not to say they can't cook the food and aren't good at it, just my preference when eating at restaurant that are supposedly authentic. That's just me. I ordered Orange Chicken combo plate with a half order of vegetable lo mein, and Hot braised chicken wing combo plate, that came with vegetable fried rice, both plates came with egg rolls Let me tell you, the food was absolutely delicious, the wings were perfect with the sauce, the rice was cooked just right, the lo mein was really good as was the Orange chicken, the driver even waited and allowed us to thoroughly check the food before he left. The only reason I gave them 4 stars is because both egg rolls were chewy and rubbery. So unbelievably delicious! I heard about the family that owns/runs this place when I was at St. Cecilia's for the Mexican Fish. Had to try them because Chinese food made by a Mexican family just sounds cool! Every singe thing I've tried is amazing. I am pleased that this place lives up to the reviews! The boyfriend and I ordered delivery tonight (which showed up before the ETA - bonus points!) and are currently fat and happy on the couch. I got orange chicken, which arrived hot and crispy in thick orange sauce, and he got hot braised chicken wings which were of generous portions. The meals come with rice and an egg roll or two crab rangoons; the rice was some of the best I had and the crab rangoons were crispy pockets of cream cheese (I don't care for super sweet filling). The only strange item we received were the shrimp egg rolls, which were only shrimp and no additional filling.. but they were still tasty. I think leaving this place a bad review is insane. We got the general tsao- tofu- was fried perfectly, and sauce was great, not too sweet like some general t sauces can be. The veggie Saint Paul sandwiches are awesome, fried crispy and perfectly. Great crispy egg rolls, awesome flavorful fried rice. Sauce for the beef and broccoli was classic and delicious. We tried Dragon Place for the first time tonight and it did not disappoint! We ordered two combo meals to go--the General Tso's Tofu and Sweet and Sour Pork. First off, the fried rice that came with the meals was excellent... I could have eaten a full order of just the fried rice. My tofu was also excellent. I have tried tofu at many Chinese restaurants but this was by far one of my favorites. My husband had sweet and sour pork and he really liked it. The portions and prices were great for what we wanted. The combo is perfect for one person. It is just enough food to fill you up, but not send you over the line. I have heard their regular size entrees are huge portions if you are needing leftovers or whatever. The total for our two meals was $12.75. Can't beat that! One thing I will say is that the Crab Rangoon wasn't my favorite but it was decent. Next time I am trying the wontons with my meal...and there definitely will be a next time! read more

I ordered Gyoza at $5 and when I got back to my friend's place ( 1/2 block away,) I opened the box and there was 3 pieces. I called and inquired about the portion size and both owners claimed that 6 pieces were in an order and that was NOT the case. I brought up the tiny box to show them There was no way that six pieces can fit in this little box. They refused to make it right and also told me I am not allowed to order from them anymore. If this is how they run their business and exhibit "customer service" or THEIR meaning of customer service, I am glad not to be able to order from them again. And to top it off, NO EMPLOYEE IS WEARING MASKS. I must honestly say I do not know where the high scores are coming from. All that I can think is a must be coming from the employees or the owner. In all honesty, I was really hoping for some decent quality cheap Chinese food. The restaurant was sparse and very uninviting but that was not a huge deal.
