Excited for more variety of food in Madera! And just down from the bowling alley is a bonus. This place gets 5 stars for having a vegetarian menu! The spring rolls are decent, the pho is great, and so is the udon stir fry. I haven't tried anything non-vegetarian, but mom liked the wonton soup with some sort of meat in it. While I appreciate the offer of boba drinks - they aren't the best tasting. So far I've tried the ube, guava, and green tea, and they all just have this fake taste to it. Perhaps I've overlooked the menu, but I wish they had some plain black or green tea instead of the powdered blended smoothies. If the boba drinks can improve, this place definitely deserves 5 stars from this vegetarian boba lover. I will keep trying though, as there aren't many places for boba in Madera. I haven't tried everything on their menu, but I have to admit that I liked their pho soup. There's another place I always get it from in Fresno, but it's a far drive. Now that this place is here I don't have to drive all the way to Fresno to get my soup. read more

I absolutely hate the fluorescent in the dining area. Not appealing at all. I don't understand why the use it when there's plenty of natural light and light sources. That being said, the food is delicious. I wish they had more Thai food on the menu. read more

Wasn't expecting good Pho in Madera, but boy they proved me wrong!

After a long day at the water park we didn't want to go in the city and madera was on our way back home. Did not expect quality customer service and excellent good. We had a party of 9 and everyone loved their food. Bun bo hue, vermicelli bowl, chowfun, papaya and assorted boba drinks. Boba drinks were made with coconut milk which was different but enjoyable. Seemed like a few kids running the place but our food came out in under 10 mins. Phodera will be a stop I make when passing through town. read more

It was alright. I was traveling back from down south and was very hungry, I saw this place off the highway and since I love pho I was excited to give it a try. It literally look me almost an hour to get me my food, they admitted they forgot about my order. Then when I finally ate my beef tripe pho with spring rolls it was average. Decent pho for Madera. They do offer a mix of other traditional "Americanized" versions of Chinese food. They have an ok selection of vegetarian items. They will customize dishes for vegetarians too. read more

Great little place, fast and friendly service!

I tried this joint about a year ago with the family members. I ordered the chow fun, I did not really like it. It was like drowned in sauce and very watery. More stir fry veggies in it than noodles. I come from the bay area so I frequented vietamese noodle joints often back in the day. This did not compare. I did like the fresh spring roll with the peanut sauce. The other items were ordered were decent such as the fried rice and soupo. The workers are very friendly. I will write another review of this joint when I try the Pho. read more

I've been coming here for years and noticed that the pho can be really hit or miss some days, (the beef one). My favorite pho is #25 pork which has gotten better since the new year Price increases. The meat used to be very fatty now it's all lean and tasty well worth the small price increase. Tasty overall, customer service kinda sucks but you don't come here for an experience. read more

I travel around the valley for work and I often stay in Madera. I usually get Vietnamese food in the Bay Area, but this place hits the spot when I am in town for work. Ordered take out today while visiting a friend in madera. They swore it was very good and big portions. Well first when we went to pick up the food I was very disappointed that the plate of combo noodles I got was only half full. NOW I'm realizing it was a blessing in disguise. It was mostly veggies with 10 little pieces of meat total. Well as soon as my God son and I took the first bite into the plate we both, LITERALLY AT THE SAME EXACT TIME, spit the beef out and said it tastes nasty. It tasted bitter! I had my friend try a piece and she spit it out as well. We tried a piece of shrimp next and same exact thing. It was so bitter! Only way I can describe it is like when you use nail Polish remover and accidently taste your fingers after? Yup it tasted like acetone. First time eating here. Place was clean, service was great, food was fast price was cheap. The portions were great for price and so was the quality. I had the pho ga with a side of egg rolls and a Thai chi boba. The food was good. I would recommend other to eat here and would come back again. Service was decent, attentive, and relatively prompt. The food was satisfactory but pretty run of the mill compared to many pho restraunts, but its really the only game in town. First time being here, and I got the House Special Fried Rice. It was excellent! And of course you have to try the Boba! The Honeydew smoothie with Boba was great! Excellent service and the food came out pretty quick. The new manager is very nice as well. And to add another thing, their portions are a pretty good size; the fried rice filled me up. Just went there tonight again and despite them already being closed, they took my to-go order which i thank the heavens for.. but as for a review on the actual pho, it was okay. if you're not willing to go to Fresno, well it'll get your noodle cravings out of the way and get you full. the beef is very tender and nice, but the broth isn't as flavorful as it should be compared to other viet places.. it might be the lack of msg but hey, you never know if it might be something else. i left it on a tip here as well.. but also, don't have the boba teas/ smoothies. they're not authentic, they're way too sweet and they don't have the rich "tea" flavor.. read more

I have eaten here a few times and it has been hit and miss with the quality of food and service. There is one server in particular that she doesn't seem to be in the right business. Most of the time she is rude and forgetful about making sure that your order is correct, let alone bringing out your complete order. I haven't had problems with the two other younger servers who are always very welcoming and friendly. The food has not always been on point either. Some days the Pho is very good with yummy veggies and good meat. Other times the Chicken Pho was tired meaning the chicken was dry and old. The last time I went was about a week ago and the service was terrible from same server who acts like she is doing you a favor to serve you and the Pork in my Pho was fatty and in edible. I wanted to like this place because it was near by my job and inexpensive...but unfortunately I'll have to put them back on the shelf because it is a price I'm not willing to pay. Super happy to have a phó place in madera and a good one at that! The service is always fast and the staff is always friendly! I usually order a #16 to go and it's ready within 5 to 10 minutes, by the time I get there I just pay and am on my way back home! Their prices are beyond reasonable on average $4.99 for phó! I am always searching for the best phó places to go in town and this is by far one of my favorites. Also the restaurant appears to be very clean which is really important to me. So I did go back to this restaurant a few months ago. I was hoping my original review could be just a reflective of their boba and chow fun. When I went back I tried their pho and tired to order a sandwich to go. At the time they didn't have sandwiches anymore and when I got my pho I realized the condiments on the table were very limited. The broth of the pho was just okay, nothing special. I will not be returning to this venue again. I did receive a "compliment" from another yelp viewer who said my first review was inaccurate. Clearly he doesn't understand that that yelp is a place for people to review businesses based off of their person experience there. By the way I read his review of this place and he seems to have enjoyed it. That was not the case for me at all. This establishment lacks customer service and cleanliness. A friend and I went there during lunch hours. We ordered and sat to wait for our food. I noticed that one of the waitresses was vigorously picking at her teeth with a toothpick while taking an order. She then proceeded to store the toothpick in her apron and began touching the menu with her filthy hands. This disgusted me and I immediately walked up to the front counter and POLITELY cancelled my order. I was asked why I wanted to cancel my order by the waitress and I informed her of what I had witnessed. I also told her that it was unsanitary and I do not feel comfortable eating there. A different waitress chimed in and condescendingly asked me, "Excuse me?" Again, I had to repeat myself. The disgusting toothpick waitress then said loudly, "She's mad because I was picking my teeth with a toothpick!" I was able to cancel my order and my friend was refunded for her purchase, which was the main objective. As my friend and I were walking out of the restaurant, the waitresses yelled, "Bye, and don't come back!" I was polite to these waitresses while requesting a cancellation on my order and I was not disrespectful to these individuals. Great place! Low prices and tasty pho! Comes with tasty toppings to add with your pho! They also have tasty Boba tea as well! Surprised that this small town has such a good tasting Pho place for a nice reasonable price. I've eaten here twice and tried two different things each time, both were a success. The Service was good. I enjoyed the chow mein I had with my pho. The Prices were excellent. I did not like the pho I had though. I had the beef soup. The quality of the meat wasn't up to par.
