I stumbled on this restaurant and boy am I glad I did. Super friendly and the food was AMAZING!!! Do try the Vietnamese coffee too, it's delicious.

Vegetarian pho was wonderful and full of veggies: bok choy, broccoli, green onions, cilantro, white onion, and fried tofu. Broth was great, especially for a cold winter's day. They have a vast menu of items. It can get busy during the meal hours, with pick up orders as well. About ten tables inside. The owner is friendly, serving customers, and helping expedite orders.

Would 100% come back. From the yummy food, to the fastest service ever, to a clean place, I don't have any criticism for this location. The waiter was definitely friendly and he made sure that I enjoyed my food. I also had a spring roll that I would definitely order again. If you're ever in the area, please go check this place out!

Great pho spot if you're near the capital! The portions are very large and packed with flavor. The staff was helpful with recommendations and explaining each dish. Nice interior with plenty of space to dine in.

I had lunch here on a particularly windy day in DC, and it was outstanding! It was exactly what the doctor ordered. Here's a picture of the spring rolls ahead

I came at an off meal hour and was surprised to see there were other patrons dining at the same time. I was greeted and seated immediately, and I ordered the fried spring rolls and the pho chin (well done beef). My order was out in minutes and everything was super fresh and hot. The egg rolls were fresh from the fryer, and the pho broth was flavorful and the portion size pretty good. My only complaint was that the meat had a lot of fat on it, and probably could have been trimmed better, but otherwise a good experience.

Food is decent but they closed earlier than advertised and leave their open light on drawing people to the door to just be disappointed. Don't be fooled, they close at 8:00 not 8:30...

Autumn is my favorite season to visit DC. The skies are clear, the air is crisp, and there's nothing better than enjoying a bowl of pho. At this cozy little pho spot, you'll find a warm, flavorful bowl of comfort. The prices are reasonable, the service is quick, and best of all--they have chili oil for that perfect kick of spice! Plus, it's just a short walk from the Capitol. Highly recommend!

A pretty solid option for pho in the area. We were waiting for our next bus at Union Station, so we loved that Pho79DC was only a short walk away from the station. The store is quite unassuming from the front, but there is actually ample seating available inside. The price for the pho was pretty standard for how much it is these days -- I wish the portions were enough, though I wish they were a little bigger. I also thought the broth and flavor was good, but nothing that knocked my socks off. The staff was very kind and friendly, making sure to fill our water as needed. This place is a good option in a pinch!

The standout for me is their spicy lemongrass pho - I had never tried anything like it before coming here, and honestly, it was kind of life-changing. It's like the perfect fusion of pho and bún bò Huế, with that rich, aromatic lemongrass flavor and a spicy kick that you can level up if you're feeling bold. It's one of those dishes I think about long after I leave. Of course, I had to get a Vietnamese iced coffee (cà phê sữa đá), and it did not disappoint. Super strong, perfectly sweet, and I love that you can actually watch it brew right at your table - it just adds to the whole experience. The vibe of the place is warm and homey, which makes it really easy to relax and enjoy your meal. The staff are always incredibly kind and welcoming too, which keeps me coming back just as much as the food does.
