I met my adult kids here on my way to RDU. They had already found a table and settled in when I arrived, so they explained, "It's like Panera but with Pho." Lol. So we ordered at the counter and got our number, just like at Panera, and eventually the food was brought to us (not like Panera). Everything was super fresh and the portion sizes were extremely generous. It's a small place, so there really isn't anywhere to sit where you don't get blasted with a burst of outside air any time anyone is coming or going. Being Vietnamese and growing up in the San Gabriel Valley area in Los Angeles, I do have high standards for Vietnamese restaurants. I was excited to see that a Viet restaurant was across from my apartment. I'm very cautious in trying new Viet restaurants so I only tried the Viet iced coffee. It was very watery and bland. To me, if you can't get the iced coffee right then the other food might not taste authentic also. I will not be coming back to this place as it is watered down Vietnamese food. Expensive for what it is. There are cheaper Vietnamese places that seemed more authentic. The Pho broth seemed like it was only a beef broth, lacking the body of some of the other broths I've tasted that was made with beef bone and other ingredients. The Bahn Mi was pretty good but I've had Bahn Mi for under $5 and the vermicelli noodle bowl was pretty good as well. The atmosphere is great though and the staff seemed friendly. read more

Fresh amazing ingredients make their pho excellent. We had rare beef pho and shrimp rolls, both very good. Finally found a solid Pho spot locally. I only ate Pho when I'm in Greensboro where Pho Hien Voung is but now I can enjoy Pho much more often. Went for lunch today and tried the house Pho and fresh spring rolls. Both were good. My only negative was the price/option for the rolls. You can't get just one as they come in sets of three. I ordered the chicken noodle bowl with a coconut boba tea for a late lunch out with friends and they were pretty tasty. The noodle bowl was a little bland and the boba was a little to thick and too cold (the tapioca pearls were practically frozen and impossible to drink right away) but if that's what you're looking for then this is a food destination for you. I can't say I'd immediately visit this place again without trying other pho restaurants in the area but the service is kind and fairly fast. A major win for this place is its very cute and good-sized interior; they have art on the wall, tasteful plants, and a handful of big, long tables to sit at with your friends or family. read more

I have been to this place at least 10 times in the last several months. It has become my favorite photo restaurant in North Raleigh. Service is always quick and pleasant, the price is good, the food is always freshly prepared and servings are ample. Although they put everything in the pho for you, there is a list of ingredients on the counter and you can easily ask to add anything extra, or have anything eliminated. I always get extra jalapeño, for example. The broth is very nicely flavored, though sometimes a bit bland. However, on the tables, you have a nice spicy preserved cabbage (or at least I think that is what it is) which I always add to spice up the meal, along with the normal sriracha sauce. I have also had the pork spring rolls, which were very good as well. I highly recommend this place. UPDATE in May 2018: Add another 20 visits since my last review . . . and continued excellent food and service. I also highly recommend either spring or eggrolls and any of the noodle bowls. Very fresh, well-prepared food with excellent service. And they have caffeine free diet coke as well, a real bonus. Highly recommended. read more

Got the rare beef pho to-go. Huge portion and delicious. The atmosphere was very nice, especially compared to some of the other pho places in the Triangle. Just know when you get the pho to-go you'll have to reheat the broth for it to be hot enough to cook the meat. They were very quick with my order too! read more

Just tried this place for lunch and was very pleased! Loved the Bahnmi park sandwich and Beef Pho Soup; both phenomenal and a must try.

The food here is really good, but I really wish they would fix the foul sewage smell. I've had to leave before ordering multiple times now because the smell is so strong, and it is not comforting to eat food while surrounded by sewage odors. It also makes me worry about their water system in this regard as well. Until it's fixed I unfortunately won't be back :( I have been eating here since they first opened and it wasn't a problem for a while and seems more recent, I hope they see this/fix the issue! read more

Pho is so bland. Especially the broth. They put the vegetables already in the pho, which they usually let you do yourself and is the traditional way every other time I've had pho somewhere else. It seems as if they are trying to cut costs because they barley put any bean sprouts, jalapenos, limes and basil in the pho. Summer rolls were good, but 10.95 is a steep price. Do yourself a favor and go right down the road to Mekong. You will not be disappointed. read more

We happened across Pho Xpress in Brier Creek today. Just opened this past Thursday. Very impressed with the pho (wife and I had Xpress, son had chicken). On par with the best I've had.
