The inside of the restaurant was clean and welcoming. The pork chops were great, it's very hard to find a place who makes good pork chops. Tasted well marinated and cooked to perfection. The rice was piled on which is a plus, I don't understand places who give a cup of rice when it's so cheap. Perfect amount with a side salad. The 4 shrimps weren't my favorite. They could've added more than 4. The chicken wings were well seasoned and crunchy. The jalapeños were not hot which was a bummer. Spring rolls were good but could've been a bit bigger compared to Thai basil. Paid 40$ for all of this food and was surprised to have some left over for tomorrow. They were extremely busy for a week day. Need to come back for the PHO to compare to Davorn's in Visalia......Stay Tuned!!!! read more

My new noodle spot. It's your traditional Viet pho. The only one we have in Visalia. Service is fast and friendly. I recommend the spring rolls with the grilled meats. I'm all for more new Asian food places in Visalia, especially Vietnamese food! Placed an order to go of egg rolls, pork belly banh mi sandwich, and two rice dishes (chicken+shrimp with yellow rice & beef+chicken with white rice). Isn't the presentation of the food in the clear cases just so pretty?! Food was amazing overall! But let me tell you, I ate the banh mi sandwich in the car driving home and it was the best banh mi sandwich I've had in awhile! Very busy but clean restaurant. Servers are good, but you have to waive them down if you want refills. But, again, only due to it being very busy. Pho was the right portion with lots of meat compared to other pho restaurants, which was a plus. But, the pho was very bland. I was wondering why our neighbors were adding so much siracha and hoisin sauce to their bowls. But, overall, a good place for the city of Visalia to finally have a decent pho restaurant. Other pho restaurants charges an arm and leg. Just disappointed that I will be leaving the area and won't be able to give this place another shot to change my review to see if it was just a miss that day. I mean like bring me my food and when I say thank you, say no problem and we're good. Today I brought my one year old and asked for a cup of ice to cool her soup down.. when I asked my server, who I later found out her name is T, quite literally rolled her eyes at me and never came to check on us again. I think the amount of meat and noodles was appropriate for a large, but I do think you get more if you eat in the restaurant from looking at the size of the bowls being served. The broth was good and didn't need much tuning up to get just right with the chili oil, sriracha, and hoisin. The Chicken and Shrimp spring rolls were good and the peanut dipping sauce was tasty as well. It did seem the place was very clean inside and the workers all seemed busy. Ill be back. read more

Came back yesterday and tried the Bun thit nuong (vermicelli noodles with grilled pork). I had to give this place 5 stars for that. It has the perfect balance of noodles to veggies to meat. The nuoc mam was the perfect balance of sweet, salty, and sour. The atmosphere was great as the music was at a good volume on this visit and the service was very good. My boyfriend and I stopped by here during some traveling. The service was horrible. Waited about 15 minutes just sitting there until someone took our orders. It wasn't even busy at all. Had about a little less than half the restaurant full. I didn't see a single employee stop at any of the tables to check up on them, ask for refills, or anything at all. We had to fight to get a waitress/waiter's attention as they were either standing at the front at the cash register (not assisting anyone) or in the back kitchen. Beyond frustrating having to sit through a meal and not get any customer service a single time. I recommend being really assertive and loud when eating here as you won't get any good service without having to flag down or walk up and directly ask someone for assistance. As for the food. Absolutely delicious. Really flavorful broth, loads of meat, and a perfect noodle ratio. We also had the grilled pork chop rice plate (forgot to take a pic), seasoned and cooked perfectly. Tasted amazing. Reminded me of the Vietnamese food in SJ ! The food is the only reason why I'm generously giving 4 stars. The service was the rudest service we've ever had. The only Authentic Vietnamese restaurant in Visalia. Everything I've ordered was delicious- pho, bahn mi, spring rolls, egg rolls, and Vietnamese coffee are on point. Even the banh mi bread was authentic. If you want to try ethnic food, besides the pho I recommend ordering the traditional Vietnamese banh mi. So good and filling. Quick and good service.
