This was my third time eating at Pho LeVy and it was just as good as the first two times. The first couple visits, I had the Vermicelli (Bún) #21 Grilled meat (pork), shrimp, & egg roll; so delicious! This time I had a regular size #11 Rare Steak & Lean Brisket accompanied by #25 Grilled Pork Bánh Mì. They both were amazing and full of flavor! That broth, chefs kiss! Really no need for any extra sauces for flavor. The noodle, meat ratio was not bad. It had a nice amount of green onion, white onion & cilantro. Nice amount of sides. The Grilled Pork Bánh Mì was perfectly toasted. Bread light and flaky. Grilled meat tender and flavorful & sandwich was stuffed with veggies, which I very much appreciated. Service was good this time. I was in and out in about 45 minutes. The first couple times I visited the service was really slow ... like over an hour for 1 person. It is a small business so give some grace ... it's worth it. Like I said it's a small restaurant, it's clean, and friendly. The owners are super nice and although, I haven't had one of their coffees, I've seen others order, it's definitely on my list of things to try here! read more

A hidden gem Must try. Service was so amazing as well. Ambiance was clean and relaxing. Little road trip lunch stop. I ordered the shrimp spring rolls, the saffron iced tea sweetened with honey, lemongrass chicken bánh mì, and purchased the house made chili oil for home. The lemongrass chicken had the perfect kick to it, the peanut sauce was honestly one of the best I've had, and all the ingredients tasted so fresh and flavorful. First time trying this place and it was amazing! You can really tell they take their time preparing everything--the quality and flavor definitely show. We ordered a few items to share and every single one hit. Chicken egg rolls - Packed with flavor and generously filled. Super satisfying. Spicy Lemongrass Chicken bánh mì - They used an actual baguette (not a torta-style roll), which made a big difference. It was HUGE and so good. Chicken Pho (Phở Gà) - Came out piping hot, and the broth was better than any pho we've had in Visalia. The star anise aroma really came through, and those little fatty bubbles from the chicken broth added so much richness. Thai Tea - Absolutely next level. I don't know what they did differently, but it had a subtle orange peel/fragrance that made it stand out. One of the best Thai teas I've ever had--I'd honestly drive from Visalia to Porterville just for this. Today took a little longer than normal to receive our takeout order, they provided us with complimentary water bottles as my son and I waited. We didn't ask, they just handed them to us. It was a nice gesture. As it was a little busier than normal, I had no problem waiting. Today we tried their egg rolls made with their shrimp and pork filling. It was nicely seasoned and also included carrots, wood ear mushrooms and I believe vermicelli. Since they were takeout, the wrapping wasn't crunchy by the time we ate at home. I could only imagine they're much better when freshly fried. We also gave the fried salmon a try as well. Perfectly cooked fish with a crunchy exterior. Alone it was good but once the tomato sauce was added it was great! The sauce had a nice acidity to it but with the addition of onions, green onions and fried shallots. It was an umami bomb. The best restaurant in town and the best pho I've had. I always get the rare steak pho and the fresh spring rolls. On hot days I love getting the iced mint tea. Although the wait is sometimes long, it is always worth it as the food is as fresh as it gets! Just go in knowing it may take over an hour. I will sometimes call in my order ahead of time, if I know I am on a time crunch. I can imagine it is hard to cook fresh food quickly. The owners are very kind and generous. We gave the newly opened Pho Le Vy in Porterville a try and while the food was genuinely delicious, there were a few bumps in the experience. One issue worth mentioning right away -- I was charged $5 for extra meat that should've been included in my House Special Pho. Due to a miscommunication, I was first served the Rare Steak Pho instead, and though they eventually brought out the correct meat cuts, it took some time and I was still charged for it, which was frustrating given it was their mistake. That aside, the food itself was really good. We had the Rocket Shrimp, Pho, and took a Bun Bo Hue to-go -- all packed with flavor and very satisfying. Service was a bit slow, likely due to being short-staffed, and a few menu items weren't available yet, but that didn't bother us too much. We understand they're still getting things up and running. Hopefully, they work out the kinks as they get more established, because the food itself does have potential. read more
