China Garden is a classic. The food is great and the portions are huge. Special fried rice is my favorite.

I order orange chicken, beef and sweet in source pork lunch specials and they were delicious.

Perhaps the third time will be the charm. I've written this review twice already today and keep doing something wrong. And each time it will get shorter! They opened a few minutes late, at 11:30. No hours posted on the building or on Yelp. When I looked through the front window, I could see the screen door in the back. That told me that the back door was open and someone was probably inside. We ordered two combinations and a Won Ton Soup. The Won Top Soup was very good. I would order it again. The combos were okay but we were more interested in the Chow Mein and Fried Rice that we got. Both had "wok hay", a smokiness that reminds us of the food of days gone by. Do you remember eating in Chinese restaurants when dishes were served in stainless steel platters with pedestals? If we're in the area again, I'd want to order, Wor Won Ton, Beef Chow Mein, Shrimp Chow Mein, Prawns in Lobster Sauce, Chicken Fried Rice and Curry Chicken. read more

Easily my favorite Chinese place in town. My usual order is a lunch plate featuring either sweet-and-sour chicken or orange chicken when ordering the chow mein or rice you have the option of going with both or just one or the other. I prefer to go with just the chow mein as you can ask them to make it a little spicy and it comes out amazing. There's only a couple small tables so dining in can be a little awkward, but I prefer to eat there so that the food is hot and fresh. read more

I think the food is excellent. As far as the lobby goes, it's drafty and it needs remodeling.The kitchen you can actually see into this kitchen, but I imagine this is what most Chinese kitchens look like. The food is just okay. I don't care for it my grandchildren like it. It lacks flavor, is overpriced for serving sizes and they charge as much as $6 to use a debit card. My last purchase was my last visit. The company can't possibly pay more than $1.50 to process cards and if they do they need a new service! Ate here 05/6/20 Picked up food because the virus plus the place is small & in need of a serious renovation. The only good thing in my order was the noodles. My beef and broccoli had no flavor. The beef tasted like someone chewed and sucked the flavor out of it then served it to me. The rice was hard.. didn't seem fresh. The orange chicken was extremely hard. My fiancé ordered the plate that comes with the chow mein, sweet and sour pork and rice and egg foo young. When he got there they didn't have egg foo young so they gave him more noodles. The sweet and sour pork barely had any sauce and it was like 4 Rock hard pieces. Our portions were pretty small. Usually at any other Chinese place we would have leftovers.. at this place not so much. I gave 1 star because the noodles were good and it was open on a Monday. Apparently none of the other people leaving reviews has ever had fresh Chinese food because lord knows this is not that. This is one of those places where you order a combo plate and it's ready in 5 minutes so you know it has been chillin under a heat lamp or something similar. Their fried rice tastes old and flavorless. Noodles are actually good and taste like they are on the fresh side of things. The orange and sweet and sour chicken tastes like it was old and had been fried multiple times over a few days. The fried shrimp and egg rolls are GROSSSS! You can totally tell they are days old and also had multiple trips to the fryer. Basically everything (in their combo) is made days in advance and thrown in the fryer to crisp up again or at least that's how it tastes. Pretty gross. 2 stars because the noodles are good. read more

So I was a bit hesitant to try this place for a while even after passing by many times. It's very small and the outside doesn't look too inviting. But me and my husband finally decided to give it a try last month and now we are hooked lol we have been there about 4 times now in the matter of one months time , I know unhealthy blah blah. Haha but it's really delicious and surprised me ! I always get the number 4 , the broccoli beef is flavorful and the orange chicken sauce is so good ! The sauce has such good zesty flavors to it, and the food is always fresh when we get it. I only wish we could sit down inside and eat but as of now it is only take out, not sure if it's always been that way or something recent due to covid? Although it is very small inside anyways so only a handful of people would actually be able to sit and eat. But regardless I will continue going to this spot anytime I'm craving Chinese food. I'd also like to add the owners , (a husband and wife I'm assuming? ) are really friendly so I love that . You can tell they are hard workers and doing there best . This is best for take away, as it is a small interior, previously the old school Taco Bell. I have eaten here for YEARS! I am now married to a Chinese man & was anxious for him to try it. This is a family own, ran business, which to me, means there is a constant vested interest in customer satisfaction. One thing my husband & travels to China has taught me, is there is a huge difference in Chinese food in China verses what we Americans want to order & eat. Personally I've always enjoyed the Chinese chicken salad. If you are thinking it's healthy, don't! They use fried chicken but the salad is tasty. They have value priced food that I find good to eat! My wife has been eating here for 15 years and after finally eating there myself I completely understand why. Super delicious Chinese Food! What stood out the most to me was how very fresh it was! I ate a variety of dishes including the chicken with black-bean sauce...wow best Chinese dish I've ever had and I've had a lot of Chinese food, including numerous visits to Chinatown in LA. My family and I were in Tulare, CA for a track meet. Being from Los Angeles with some of the best restaurants in the world, we were concerned about where to eat. We used Yelp to help us find Chinese food. Thank you Mike G for writing your review! We would have driven past this restaurant and not stopped. It was in an old Taco Bell building next to a Taco Bell. Inside wasn't much better. but we trust Yelp reviews. It was delicious! We had Shrimp Fried Rice, an easy dish. Portion was great. However when we placed our order, they told us there was not a lot of shrimp in it (approx. 10). So we added more. It was good. No peas, carrots or onions. Just shrimp and rice. We also had the Wor Won Ton soup, it was okay. The fried shrimp appetizers (12 pieces) and egg rolls were divine. Hot, delicious and not too greasy. We also had the orange chicken, couldn't get it made with white meat, hence the 3 star rating. Lastly, we had the shrimp and broccoli. The shrimp were clean and broccoli very fresh.
