The food is always fresh and delicious. The service is very friendly and ambiance is great. The family has been in New Braunfels for at least 12 years that I know of off and on. They were at two other restaurants when we first started following them. They left NB moved to San Marcos and opened Pho Tran88. We didn't mindthe drive but we loved the food. Disgusting food safety and toxic, disrespectful owner.I found HAIR in my lemond . The waiter gave me a new lemondae. Then I found HAIR cooked into my food. Despite the stomach-turning experience, I still acted with class I paid the full bill and even left a tip for the server.When I called to speak to the owner about the food safety issue, the female owner was incredibly hostile, disrespectful, and completely unhinged. She repeatedly cut me off, talked over me, and blamed ME for the issue, screaming that "they could have just taken the hair off" and denying that we told the staff.Finding hair in my meal is bad enough, but being verbally harassed by the owner for reporting a health violation is unacceptable. The restaurant has a good size seating area with the option of seating outdoors if the weather permits is nice. The variety of options from your regular Chinese dishes to Vietnamese dishes, the options are endless. But today I wanted something simple, I got the Sweet and Sour chicken with rice and the option of two egg rolls. The food was cooked just right with the appropriate tenderness and crunch. A little pricy but what isn't now days. We have ZERO Chinese food in the area and for this being a Pho/Vietnamese restaurant, their Chinese food is DELICIOUS!!! Full plates every time, my big family all gets to get their Chinese fix and I get my Pho . We have only gotten it to go (4 times now) and not once has it been less than excellent. The other had the Vietnamese sandwich which she said was delicious. Also enjoyed the crab Rangoon. Restrooms were super clean. Server was pleasant and attentive. Service was excellent, and establishment is very clean. We had a variety of plates at our table. We start with Vietnamese egg rolls which came out hot and were very good. Food was ordered next, I had SF4 which was rice noddles with beef, chicken and shrimp. My food was not hot and noddles were so over cooked that they fell apart when trying to pick them up with chop sticks. No flavor to dish at all very bland for Thai food. Asked for red pepper flakes they did not have. Second person had chicken and vegetables and ordered it Thai hot. Plate came not a red pepper flake to be observed in dish. Egg roll was hot and egg drop soap was good. Other plates also lacked spice and flavor. Been looking for good Thai in New Braunfels , guess I will keep looking. read more

They moved to San Marcos, TX and opened a Vietnamese restaurant called Pho Tran88. We have been going there since it opened and love that food. I have a review for that location. About 6 weeks ago, they returned to New Braunfels and opened a Pho Tran88. On this menu, in addition to their outstanding Vietnamese food they have a Chinese food menu (because that sells well here). So on a Saturday after at lunch, my wife and I ventured down to New Braunfels to check out the new location and get some Chinese food. You can't go wrong with either Vietnamese or Chinese food here. The location is bright and clean. The service is always great. The food was perfect. I had the cashew chicken with egg drop soup and my wife had the chicken with vegetables with wonton soup. The food is great! Best Won Ton soup in the New Braunfels/Seguin area. Asked about Egg Foo Young. Not on menu but the chef made it for me and it was great! Lady at register was super nice and accommodating. These people also have a location in San Marcos. i've given this place 3 vastly different attempts since this store opened i get that times are tough right now and things are becoming more costly, but i paid $20 for one plain meal w no drink. the portions were okay but in comparison to most other places i was a little sad, but it really disappointed me on quality. 2nd visit i tried a completely different dish and had almost the exact same issues and it seemed like i was bothering them when i went to pick up my food. 3rd visit, had some friends in town, wanted some finger food appetizers to take to-go and enjoy at home for lunch. we got spring rolls, crab puffs, and dumplings. i and one other person got a terrible case of food poisoning. we think it might have been from the the spring rolls but not entirely sure - and it cost $45 for two orders of each which seemed a little pricey to me. i wish i had more positive things to say cause i really wanted this place to be my new go-to but i think im just going to have to throw in the towel read more

Everything is GREAT except the Fried RICE. Has an awesome, totally talented Kitchen....5 stars worth. They skip the Fried Rice altogether. Steamed rice w a drop of chicken broth and maybe some yellow egg shade to color it and call it Fried Rice. No it's not. Gummy and BLAND. The Pho place up in the Kohl center does the same thing, but theirs is even more bland and gummy. Yes, I understand.... if you make the Fried Rice too interesting, some people will just come in and order fried rice. It doesn't need to be fancy.
