I love Grand Buffet of Seguin. I have been a customer for about 10 years. I have NEVER once been disappointed in my food or service. The variety of food is huge and is always hot and fresh. I have never been disappointed in the food; ever. The staff is very efficient and friendly. The price of the buffet is very reasonable. They have an early bird pricing if you want to eat during midday M-F which saves you a good amount. Friday and Saturday are my favorite days when they have crab legs on the buffet later in the day. There is a wide selection of options to choose from so make sure that you come in hungry. My favorite was the hibachi, with it being made fresh. Still good. The staff are absolutely lovely; never a long wait to order drinks, be offered refills, or have plates cleared. Stations are clean, tongs/servers maintained well. Sushi is good considering it's Seguin and a buffet. Certainly never had a sushi bite/sashimi wherein the ingredients were questionable re: safety. Do be a standup citizen and have some small bills on hand to tip the good people running the sushi and Mongolian bbq stations. Myself, first plate included a steamed ube bun, pork spare rib in sweet sauce, two fish cake bites topped with shrimp, half a hard boiled egg, and a slice of Atlantic salmon plus a lemon wedge. The second plate was half a dozen pieces from the sushi station. The best imo were the sake sashimi but the California roll was as good as I expect at any standard sushi diner. My parents enjoyed standard Americanized Chinese dishes, they LOVE the green beans, ma had a few bites of cali roll, and her husband always finishes with a plate of fruit. The staff was great, and everything was spotless. The food was tasty and hot, with plenty of variety. They even had Maduros and Bluebell ice cream. Overall, it was great! Don't sleep on this buffet. I've been to plenty Asian buffets and this one is a top one. First thing I can say is how clean it is. They keep the food areas spotless by constantly having them wiped down and the food is nicely arranged. All the food we ate was pretty good! My favorites were the chow mein, sushi, hot and sour soup and the sesame chicken. My daughter had 3 servings of the sesame chicken! They also served Blue Bunny ice cream cups which I really liked. I've been craving Chinese food for weeks and was excited to try Grand Buffet.From the very moment we stepped in the door the hostess was mean faced and short with us. Practically ran to our table and before we sat wanted our drink order. No small talk or explanation of what they had or how things worked. Then the gentleman that brought our drink (water with lemon) he set it down and tossed our straws and forks on the table without speaking a word to us. He seemed to have an attitude with any table that ordered water. I personally don't drink soda so I prefer water. On top of that the hostess ignored us when we left and still looked miserable. Dropped in to this buffet place because I wanted a little bit of everything. Want to start off by saying that restaurant was very clean, located in a busy little shopping center. Was greeted by friendly hosts. Sitting area consists of tables and booths that is very spacious. We went to eat there during dinner. The atmosphere was positive and we felt quite comfortable. Most important, food was warm, fresh, and delicious. Servers were very attentive in keeping food nicely stocked. Food was very fresh and plenty of the authentic dishes such as General Tso, Chicken Broccoli, Shrimp, plenty of seafood, American food like pizza and nuggets, Baked salmon, and plenty of dessert, including ice cream in a cup or cones. I am pretty spoiled living in Houston Texas. I couldn't find many places to eat in seguin but this had some decent reviews so I figured let me give a shot no always feel so sick after a buffet lol. I didn't even eat a ton. Maybe it's the low quality food. Not sure. Service was good. Everything seem pretty fresh. They were missing some key dishes: Pepper steak, I didn't see the hot wings lol and I a few more. Hey also didn't have cheesecake. Almost all Chinese buffets in Houston have cheese cake lol. Also I am not a skinny guy. I'm 235 and let me tell you lol I saw some very large people here. Probably like 400 plus pounders lol. I was like holy hell lol. The hubs and I eat here on a regular basis, a couple times a month. We keep going back because Grand's buffets is pretty darn good, especially for a buffet which can be hard to do. The hot food is warm and the cold food is cool and it's all tasty, and boy oh boy is that buffet BIG! If you can't find anything to eat you aren't looking hard enough. A lot of buffets have food that all tastes similar but this place has a ton of variety and the dishes were cooked perfectly....Mongolian pork stirfry that was so tender and flavorful, many varieties of shrimp from fried to butter shrimp to shrimp included in numerous other dishes. I really like the service here and food is always pretty good. We come here about once every two weeks for a quick bite. I've found it to be pretty consistent over the past year. If you are looking for that amazing hole in the wall spot to tell all your friends about this isn't it. Everything is pretty solid across the board. Grand Buffet in Seguin Texas is pretty amazing as far as Chinese buffets go. There's not a whole lot of Chinese buffets in our area so we have to travel out of town to get our Buffet on and our choice usually is Grand Buffet. proximity aside their offerings are pretty tasty and I haven't really ever had any bad experiences at this particular Buffet. the food's good if not great and the service pretty much is solid 99% of the time. unfortunately I don't really have any good pictures to post along with my review but I will name some of my favorite dishes that they do serve that include but not limited to: Tso's chicken, sesame chicken, walnut shrimp, Mongolian Grill, Crab legs on the weekend, and a decent offering of sushi veggie rolls Etc. there is quite a bit more to this Buffet I just Named some of my favorites.
